Fortunately, I can take the train to work in the morning, so I only need to make this journey one way. I'll admit it was hard, probably because I haven't cycled that much before, and because I had been on my feet for about 10 hours that day.
Part of the journey is on a greenway. Although it's not an off-road greenway, it consists of narrow, low-traffic country roads. I only encountered about five cars on the journey between the two towns.
I'm looking forward to trying it again this Saturday, although I might need to look into upgrading my dynamo lights soon, as the front one is only 30 lux and I think I could do with a brighter one. I also have a Garmin Varia radar light, which I highly recommend.
My bike is a Decathlon Riverside Touring 900. As the name suggests, it's a touring bike and weighs around 17 kilos unloaded. Perhaps I should look for a slightly lighter alternative. Also, I hate leaving this bike out in the rain.
I was thinking about getting this one, although I would need to upgrade the lights, as they are the same as those on my current bike.

I'm also open to other bike suggestions.
