Tuesday, stage 16, the day after the rest day, guys. Uh, Melier to Mong to the Giant of Provence. Let’s go, folks. Let’s go. Okay, guys. I’m rested up. Another early start for me. Um, by rested up, I mean I had a pretty well, I guess I had a busy day yesterday, but I didn’t have to uh, you know, plonk down in front of the PC for four or five hours. Uh, so I kind of had a different start to the day. Let’s make sure we’re up and running here. Uh, yep. Looks pretty good. Tried to move the camera over a little bit here. I wanted to lower it, too. Uh, let’s get the jersey done up properly, folks. Now, I feel I’m choking on that. Uh, everything looks good here. Let me just do this over here, guys. Just dropped a quick poll up there. What do you guys think? Um, okay. Here’s my YouTube. So, guys, neutralized start is just underway right now. I’m going to take a look at that over here. Trying to figure out how long the neutralized start is today. Jonathan Milan sitting on the front right there. Oh, ice packs are already in, folks. It must be sweltering. It must be sweltering. Okay. Uh, here we go. We’re off, folks. We are off. We are off. Let’s get this loaded up. There’s my YouTube channel so I can get my chat open for you guys. Let’s turn that down. Turn that down. Skip that. Yep. Turn to France. Stage 16. The J the giant of Provence. Also known as the beast of Provence or sometimes the bald mountain. I will get my chat open here. Join the panel on the side. And we’re off, folks. We are off. So, what’s on top? This is a long neutralized start today. 12 km. Sometimes I’m like, “Oh, should I just wait?” Uh, I think they left 2 minutes late from the start of uh 4:10 a.m. in the morning for me. Uh, we got the dudes here already. Doug Sanders, Orian, good morning from the left coast. I’m almost to the left coast, Doug. Um, and then, uh, here’s someone brand new. Alma, Elma. Elma, have you been here before? Alma Canu, good morning from Texas. Oh, I’d love to be in Texas. Uh, it’s a place I would love to live. Very, it’s kind of like home here. Uh, cattle country, huge ranches, oil and gas. That’s kind of my background here. So, I would love to be there. Slowly going to start picking up today, guys. Uh, so what do we got left? Six stages left at the tour to France. Let’s go through this quickly, guys. Uh, I feel real rusty doing this today. Now, overall classification, we’ve got Tatty today. Pogy first place. He’s got a 4 minute and 13 second lead over Yonas Vingo of team Vizma. Uh, Florian Lipoitz here for Red Bull Bora Hansro third place. Uh, 753 back. These are all with reference to uh Pogy. Fourth place, Oscar only from Team Picnic PostNL. 918 back. Kevin Valon Arca B&B hotels. Uh he is, sorry, I’m looking at video here. 10:21 back. Primos Rajick 1034 and so on goes down. The big change on Friday to me and I watch this really closely was the uh the swap of ninth and tenth place uh between EF Education and NOS Grrenaders, Carlos Rodriguez and Ben Healey. Now, if you think nine and 10th place aren’t important to these guys, they are. Uh Carlos is off the front racing away. He spent most of the tour sitting around 13th place, moved to 12th, bumped to 10th after um I think it was the super banier day. That was the call the term the Perry sword and super ban. Uh EF Education was driving the front trying to bring bring it back knowing they would lose it. uh they only lost it by 15 seconds. Come uh you know over the winter trying to raise money, new sponsors, new sponsors in the future. Uh hey man, we got a guy that finished ninth at the Tour to France. You know, they all want to get into that top 10. It’s just better than saying, “Oh yeah, we got a top 20 guy.” What does that mean? 20? You know, any of the sponsors can come here and look and go, “Oh yeah, the first thing you see is a top 10.” By default, it’s top 10. They want to have guys up here. It’s a big accomplishment, especially, you know, like I said before, Unoax. That’s the big winners right now. To me, I mean, even with Tatty W potentially winning the Tour to France and all the other riders, it’s this guy here, Tobias Johansson in eighth place. That is huge. Uh, a Pro Series team. Uh, right up there with the World Tour teams. I think it’s really cool. Uh, let’s just jump to see what we can uh see what’s on tap today. Um, just going to make sure this is all turned down for you guys. I think this is the design, the layout of the stage today. We’ll just catch this quickly as I have a sip of coffee. Alma, can you Okay, Alma, how’d you find the channel? Just tour to France early morning, guys. It’s starting out nice and slow today. Um, it just bounced to 37 people. Still got 10.4 km to go to the start. Just going to double check that over here. Everything’s looking good. Um, come on. I got to close this down. That’s what I got to do. Neutralize start. Okay. Okay. So, today guys, it’s 171.5 km with uh yeah, this is a this is a really fun stage today. I don’t think this is going to uh this is not the hardest day left is what I’m going to try to say. Oo, look at that shot there. Oh my. Really gives you perspective. Let that play as I just catch up, guys. Have your sip of coffee, guys. Have your sip of coffee. And that does work. Okay, Alma’s first day here. I got Oh, sorry guys. I got the top chat on. It’s always the top chat. Please do the poll if you can. Found the polls really interesting. Also want to say too, uh you guys probably can’t see it, uh but due to the uh generous donations, okay guys, so I was saying how my coffee gets cold on here and I hate cold coffee. Like I absolutely hate it. And half the times I’m on here with you guys, I’m drinking cold coffee uh because I forget to drink it. I talk too much. So Joey Jojo got me a little present, which I’m saying is funded through the generous donations of the uh the YouTube community here that joins me every day. Uh, we now have a I’m gonna show it to you guys. We now have one of those little warmer things. If you guys can see that, you put your coffee on top, it warms it for you. So, it’s back here. Man, it’s so hot. It can almost heat this bedroom. And that’s something else I want to do to folks. Just quickly go through this whilst I’m here. And obviously, all support everyone in the chat. You know what guys, the chat’s the thing for me. That’s what it’s all about. You guys being in the chat, sticking around with me, talking bikes, talking bike racing, talk France, your favorite cyclist, what kind of training you’re doing. Uh, but in the last couple days, Robert, uh, super generous donation. Uh, upgrade your mind over 40. It’s funny seeing your real names here cuz I can see your real names, however you put them into Google here. I won’t say them, uh, unless you’ve already put your first name or whatever. Neil Rushby from the Muckers Worldwide. Uh I know Neil very well uh from riding over on Ruby. I’ve commentated on uh it seems like a hundred other races. I don’t know lots of their races. R Stanley super generous as usual from Oklahoma. Joey Jojo likes to help me out too. Uh just wanted to shoot that other guys. Appreciate the help from everyone here. Uh helps me buy fun little things like that for the uh studio here. So we’re going to shut that down now guys. Let’s take a look what’s on course today. Jump into the video here. Sorry guys, I got this kind of going too fast, don’t I? Going to blow that up for you. So, we start we leave Montel Montelier. There’s also a Montelar, which I almost said there. Uh, wow. And even from this video here that’s speeding along, you can see Mbon 2 in the distance. It’s the top center of the screen, like dead center. It’s just shifted over to the right there now. Uh, Montu, incredible. Uh, vontu means windy. It probably means super windy, actually. Used quite a few times at the tour to France. Last time we finished up here was in 2016, you ride up through the forest, then you emerge at Shalalley uh Rainard and go up through the part that’s totally windstripped. There’s nothing up there. up to the top of the Mumbo 2. Uh I think they call this an HC climb. I’m going to double check that it Yeah, it is an HC climb, but I want to show you guys something. Uh well, I’ll tell you about it actually. Prepare for the stage. Uh let me jump in the chat here. Becky S, have you seen the news about Yes, I have. I have Becky. Uh you know what’s funny, Becky? Uh okay, so Becky S here looks like a brand new contributor to the channel. Um, chat’s super important to me, guys. The chat, the views, the likes. I’m trying to do this different from everyone else, and I’m continue to do it. And Becky, um, just so you know, I’m doing the women’s tour to France next week. So, I’m probably going to have to do a Guys, I better make sure it hasn’t started. Uh, still seeing 8.2 to the start. Let me just get things fired up, guys. We’re going to turn on this M Pier to M.2. We go live. And boom, here you are. Still super neutralized start here. So yeah, as Becky says, I haven’t even announced it yet today. Uh I’ve got a friend in Scotland, Steven Cycles, and another friend, Ruben, uh in Belgium, and they both messaged me super early this morning. So, oh, I don’t know why my lights on on my phone. I just want to show you guys this quickly. If you can see it, it’s uh 4:24 in the morning for me. I’ve been waking up since about 2:00 a.m. Uh, I’m a terrible sleeper. Uh, I think I had my alarm set for 3:40 to get I’m like half an hour is all I need. I made the coffee last night. Uh, ready to rock. I woke up at 2:00 a.m. My body saying, “Hey, wake up. Hey, wake up.” I don’t use an alarm clock really. Uh, I have during this tour to France. It’s a breakthrough for me to use an alarm clock for once in my life. See Michael Woods here talking. Israel Premier Tech might be a kind of day that he wants to prove something. Might be that kind of day. Um yeah. So Becky, let’s get to this quick. Uh have you seen the news about MVDP? Thanks for the fantastic coverage from the UK. Hey Becky, where you from in the UK? If you’re not aware, Becky, I was born uh in the UK just outside of Newcastle many many years ago in a galaxy far far away. Yes, I did hear uh so my two friends Ruben and Steven sent me messages first thing this morning. It would have been early morning for them seven hours ahead of me. I read that I’m like, “Ah, my favorite cyclist. He’s out.” Uh maybe this will give some hopes for the Bingham fans. Maybe Germay can win something on Wednesday. Wednesday would be his next best chance and then Saturday. Today, anyone who’s listening, Bingham’s not going to win today. No chance. Uh, Thursday and Friday. Being cannot win. He needs to do it Wednesday or Saturday. I guess there’s a weird chance he could do it on Sunday, too. Uh, Bristol. So, I think Bristol, I’m not good with my UK geography, but I think Bristol’s down south there. And I’m kind of think it’s on the southwest side, maybe. Anyways, yeah. So, I was born in uh North Shields Tine Mouth, which is obviously on the mouth of the uh the Tine there. Still a neutralized start, guys. I got uh 6.8 km to go here, guys. Fantastic views. Uh it seems to be getting better and better. People are finding me more. If you can please like the video. It’s not so I can go, “Oh, I got this many likes.” Well, it kind of is. I’m not concerned about how many people like my videos. It makes me feel good inside. It’s more it shares it to other people who then get to join the community. So, if the video gets one like out of 50,000 views, it’s probably not going to be shared. But if you have a smaller video that gets 300 likes, uh YouTube will share it to the world. They’ll pump it out to other people. I’ve actually done this a few times now with your guys’ help. I’ve logged into uh YouTube upstairs on my TV with an account I never use ever and I type Inside Cycling World and it pops up right away. Or if I type tour to France 2025 Live, it’s crazy my videos showing up first in Google and I’ve never searched for those things before with that account. It was an account I made when I was uh doing a little bit of video gaming. I thought I was going to be a YouTube uh video gamer, which how lame, but I it’s still fun. Okay, so guys, yeah, take part in the poll. We’re still about 6 km out. So, what’s on tap today? Let’s take a look here. We’ll come back here to this guy. Look at the route again. I’ll get bright and shiny here. Uh it’s 171.5 km. Uh I think we’ve got about 110 km even to the first sprint point and then uh the final 60k uh will be the gradual slow ascent up to the Malvo 2. The climb itself depending where you look there’s different segments for it but the overall climb from Bedawin is about 20 km. I think it’s just over 20 km if depends where you look. uh if you do a lot of outside cycling uh even if you do some inside cycling there’s different segments on Strava a common segment is the 15.9 km segment uh that’s where I think most of the current records are set from uh like I think Tatty’s got the fastest time right now up the 15.9 km segment um I think his time is like 49 minutes and change like 4930 something like that If you were to wind back time a little bit and go to a different era, that segment was done in 46 minutes by Marco Pontani. Uh so again, I always like to point this out. Uh that’s how powerful EPO and uh all their stuff was back then. Okay, I’m not saying I support it. I’m not saying I’m horrified by it. I’m just saying that’s the way it was. Yeah. So right here guys, Shatanodu pop I want to say Poppy, but it’s not Poppy. Lenny Martin is wearing the uh polka dot jersey today. So So no uh MVDP, which he wouldn’t have really had much to do with today’s stage. We got a sprint point about 110 km in. Then at around 134 km, you can see they got it marked on the map here at uh Obig Obno, I think it is. I have no idea who’s sitting with the director’s car. Some kind of French celebrity who I don’t know. Probably French soap opera star. If anyone knows, let me know. She’s probably super famous. I better have a better look. Who is this lady? She’s riding with Kristoff Prudome right now. Uh yeah, so basically the last 35ks are all uphill. And you can even see here at Bedawin it’s at 149.2. It’s just over 20 kilometers to the finish. So that’s kind of where the the main segment starts. But on Straa all the time I find it being a 15.9 km assault. There’s also three ways up Mvon 2. You can come up from the Bedawin side. This is the hardest side. Uh Mllysine is on the west flanks of Mongon 2. It’s almost as hard. It’s very very close. The easiest assault is from Sue on the east side. It climbs like a long ridge line and then it joins on uh at Shalet Renard. So you don’t have to go through that brutal stuff up through the forest. The section through the forest is quite steep. What we can do is maybe take a look here. Uh we’re just going to see that there. Sporting stakes. Let’s do that, guys. Uh so we still have some good sprint points on hand at the sprint point. 20 points at the top. It’s kind of weird how we have these uh sprint points here. Stephen, I know you sent me a message about that. We’ve got valuable sprint points uh on a stage that has no chance of being contested by the sprinters. So, I think that’s kind of funny. It’s like I don’t know if they’re designing the tour for like the overall rider that’s dominating, Tatty Pogy, uh so that he can get all the jerseys. So, he’s like these points are it’s kind of weird. It’s kind of weird. The tours always changed to uh we do have time bonuses here. 10, six, and four seconds for first, second, and third. I remember in the past I thought the points uh the time bonuses were bigger. So maybe they’ve reduced them to that. I think for HC climbs, maybe there should be more time. There shouldn’t be uh a green jersey points on an HC climb. I think that should all be taken away. But it’s always changing. In the past, uh, that book I’m listening to, I think around 2009, 101, there was zero time bonuses. You were racing on your time. Still in the neutralized start, guys. Just going to jump here just to make sure. Stage 16. Yep, we are still in the neutralized start right now. So, we’ll just bounce out of that again. I’m probably going to have to log in here now. Uh maybe we can take a look at this from uh this is the carcass on stage right here. Take a look at this. See what Oh, it’s a long video. Okay, I didn’t actually want to do that. Let’s just bounce out of this one quickly and we’ll come back to the stage here as I got caught up. Take a little bit of the live tracking here. Uh so this is gonna be our map. We’re going to be starting uh M Pelleier down here on the coast. I really like this area here. This reminds me of the south coast of Texas really. Uh maybe Louisiana. This long long feature here. This reminds me of the Gulf Coast. Uh there is someone in the chat from a few days ago that is from uh the Gulf Coast and um there’s a 90 kilometer triathlon ride on Ruby that I did. I only did half it. I only plan to do 50k of it. Uh, pan flats, beautiful beaches. Uh, this area over here, this reminds me very marshy here. This would be like Louisiana type stuff in the states. These river systems constantly migrating through time, building up new areas, eroding other areas. Okay, that’s geography today, guys. Uh, yeah. So, you can see it’s quite a ways to the sprint point. Let’s see what they’re going to do. Oh, Oxatani. Oxatani. Uh, on our way up to the vontto here, I’ll quickly try to show you this. So, down in this corner here, this is Bedawin. We work our way up through the forest and right about here on this corner, that’s the Shalet Renard right there. Uh, that would be dead center of your screen right now. Then you you come out of the forest and you’re climbing up through all the limestone, the rubble that’s on top of the vonto. Uh if you look at where the HC is, you can see the road switch backs down quickly. To the east, that’s Mollisene over here. This is Mollisene. You can climb that way as well. To the sorry to the west is what I meant to say. And to the east, you have Sue down here on the bottom of the screen. You start on this one. But in this case, you’re climbing the ridge all the way a lot longer. So it uh flattens out the steepness of the grade. You join on just before Shalet Renard here. Shallow Renard probably one of the busiest coffee places in the world. How many people have paid for an overpriced coffee there? Probably riding a bike. Uh they’ve got a huge outside seating area. I would do the same thing. So it’s been a while since we finished at the top of the Vonto. Uh it’s most of the time they just cross over the top of it. So the last time we finished at the top of the Von Two was 2016. Uh that was the year Chris Froom won. I think that was the year he started running up the vontto. Uh, pretty sure. Wade Smith’s here. Yo yo, I like that. Wade. Yo. Uh, Andrew Moss, good morning from Canada. Um, let me check one thing here. Just going to look at something quickly. Andrew, your name sounds familiar to me. Andrew. Andrew. Andrew. Let’s figure you out, man. Is Andrew someone else? I’m just going to double check this. Uh, yes, Andrew is someone else. Andrew is using his other name. I’ll let him I’ll let him say who his uh normal title is on here. I don’t like to give things away for people. Hey, Andrew. Good to see you back, dude. And thanks for all your support. Love it. Absolutely love it, guys. Let’s grow this baby. Uh so, just so you guys guys know, 90 people are watching right now. Appreciate that. Hit the like button if you can. I’m on the video. Uh still showing here. We’re still in the neutralized start. still in the neutralized start. I think we’re probably just about ready to go in real time. Jonathan Nyva sitting on the front to uh bar victorious. Could be another day, guys. Uh could be hot and heavy right off the rip. Sprinters will be fighting for those sprint points. Let me know what you guys think. Should there be green jersey points on the top of the two today? Do you think Jonathan Milan has any chance of being within half an hour of the lead climbers? Um, I guess how about we do this? How about we do this? Why don’t we put K points at the sprint points today? Why don’t we put K points 20 km into the stage and see how the climbers like that? Oh, they would not be happy with that. So, get what I’m saying? It doesn’t I don’t understand that at all. Uh yes, that’s right. Andrew, I saw your name this morning. Before you jumped in, I gave a shout out to everyone that uh helped the channel out that helped contribute towards my coffee warmer that I’m now using here. Uh I do like to put anything I get uh out of this into funding all this stuff and my computers and all those things. Joey Jojo’s like, “Just go buy more. Just go get more.” Uh, and I’m like, “Well, just hang on. We got to do this carefully and slowly, right?” Uh, so Andrew, I did see your name this morning and I’m like, “This name I saw your sticker that you uh your super chat sticker that you put.” I’m like, “That’s upgrade your mind after 40.” So, thank you so much. The coffee guys, it’s hotter than when I brought it downstairs. My coffee maker’s being goofy. Let the coffee brew. Just a drip brewer. And at the end, uh, it doesn’t, it’s supposed to stay on Philippines here. Reconnection is successful, guys. I think I’m going to be back here right away. Uh, we’re going to close that. I have to make sure my stream is up, guys. How can I do that? Uh, we’re going to come over here. One of you guys can let me know. Yep. I’m back. I’m back, guys. Uh, I’m good to go. I figured it all out. Uh, I’m looking like I’m here now. Yeah, guys. Starlink shutdown. And I was going to say that before the stage started. Uh because it’s that time of day. Starlink 4:46. A lot of times around 5 in the morning, it wants to shut down. It does a full reset. It thinks I’m still asleep. I’m wide awake. Brandon green jersey is points jersey, not just sprints. So, makes sense Pogy to receive points for winning races. Maybe he’ll win all three jerseys. Dude, he’s probably going to win all three jerseys. I just saw a lot of talk by people yesterday. Green jerseys, it is a points race. I Yes, you’re right. Uh but it’s more about the sprinters now. They used to have a points kind of overall jersey in the past. Uh but yeah, I hear what you’re saying. Uh Don saying the lighter looks softer this morning. Yeah, I’m probably not just completely obliterated here. Yep. Starlink’s gone. It’s back. Uh coin in the meter from Becky here. As Lance would say, we’ll be back in two and 32. Yeah, dude. My Starlink completely dropped there. Starlink is rebooting. Jeopardy theme song. I like that. Swoosh Kids here. Colin Coats, good morning. Yeah, technology is great, but it has limitations. That’s just a total shutdown on sterling. uh for my showing riders attempting to break off the front. Confides Unoax looks like a stand, but they’re not getting anywhere yet, folks. Uh I don’t think they want them to get away. There’s going to be fights for those early green jersey points. What we’re going to do quickly is we’ll take a look at this here. We’re going to look at the rankings right away. Let’s go to the uh green jersey after stage 15. We’re going to look at the general ranking. So, Jonathan Milan still has 251 points. If he gets points early on today, Tatty won’t take it away from him by the end. Uh, Machu Vanderpool is out, unfortunately. So, he’s out. That puts Bingium up into third now. Oo, that’s bright on my face there, isn’t it? Uh, I’m thinking that Bingham could potentially score points maybe tomorrow. Why don’t we do that quickly here? We’ll take a look at tomorrow’s route. So, here’s the route tomorrow, guys. Uh, Bolin to Valenc. This one’s designed for the sprinters. 160k long, slightly shorter than what they’ve normally been riding. Uh, yeah, you can see here, this is set up for the sprinters or breakaway. There’s going to be a mad dash. Well, this is going to be a tough stage. The more you look at the stage, the more interesting it gets to me. I look at this and I go sprint stage. Then I look at the two clims. I swear those cat fours are way harder than the cat fours we saw at the beginning and they’re still only cat fours. 3.7 km at 6 12%. And then we got a 3.6 at 3.5%. Uh that location of that sprint point for tomorrow is going to be brutal. uh 47.9 kilometers in. Everyone that’s in green jersey contention is going to be going like a madman there trying to get those points. Uh it’s at 48 km. That first hour tomorrow will be insane. Uh then they’ll be racing breakaways will be trying to get over this top first to escape uh on this big descent here. It’s basically downhill for you know it’s we’re going down in elevation for 40 to 50 km here. Obviously, it’s not a 40 km hill. Um, but we’re heading downwards. Kick over that last climb and try to stay away at the end. It is, you know, 40 km from the finish. But Tim Wellins uh I think he went away at 43 km with that uh that small break when he took off. So, he did it. Some are saying a little bit of assistance from the uh the moto, but that’s just how it is, folks. Got someone off the back already here. Try to find out who this is for you. Uh Elon is Agera. Probably a quick mechanical. Uh do want to get back to the chat. Yeah, guys. Sorry about that. I have no control over uh Starlink. Blame Elon. Uh Bike Terra. Good morning, Colin. We made a bunch of app changes yesterday. Should be a lot more stable. Acura. Okay, awesome. Bike terra guys. If you don’t know it, go check it out today. I will be showing it probably later in the stage. Uh, Ver guys are so cool. They’re like, “Hey, Colin, if you’re ever going to show our stuff again, I’m gonna show it every day, guys.” Uh, Fred Vice here. Thank you for your lives, dude. Thank you for being here. Uh, if you guys aren’t here, well, I would say I would I wouldn’t be here, but that’s that’s a lie. I would still be doing this. Whether there’s people here or not, I would still be doing this. Uh, my channel’s been going for in January, three years. It’s finally getting some attention from all you cool cycling fans. Break still trying to form off the front, guys. I think we got a little break now happening right here. Group one. Uh, this guy here, Maurice. I forget his first name. Let’s just say it’s Xavier. Uh, Marco Holler. Yes. Uh, I saw him comment cuz they’re, you know, it’s the tour of to France. They’re trying to hype up the Von 2 and he says, “Well, after rest day, he says, and this it’s just one climb.” He says, “I’m not too worried about the Von 2.” I’m just paraphrasing what he said yesterday. Huge string of riders at the front right now. Huge string. Looks like there’s about 40 riders trying to form a break up front, a gap of about 10 m, and then the main pelaton. Uh, that’s a bit delayed. 161.3. Jump back to the racer guys. Yeah, that’s a couple kilometers ago. But so what we’re seeing now is the remnants of that attack uh with guys going out front and it looks like they might have already tried to pull this one back. You can see the just sitting out front here. Mark Hershey. Uh look at these teammates. These teammates here for tutor. Uh maybe they want to get a real win versus Julian Alfipe. Third place. Oh, I just missed that radio. I want to catch that radio. What they said there. I’m going to actually, you know what? Here’s the beauty. Here’s the beauty of it. Uh, let’s just back this up. Maybe I’m waiting for this radio right here, guys. Uh, I think it’s from Arca B&B Hotels. Let me get a chance to read this here for you. Of course, there will be battle. Everyone knows that they can’t get the better of Pogy. So, they’re all hoping to be in a breakaway. But, let’s stay around Kevin, obviously. Keep your eyes open and don’t hesitate if there’s a chance to get ahead of the race. Come on, boys. Come on. So, everyone’s expecting a breakaway today. Uh, seeing a mechanical here. Rear wheel mechanical. This is Eon Isera. They’re showing that. I’m going to get back to the uh the present here. Back to the future. Catch up with you guys. Get live live. So, yeah. Julian Alipe came into Carcasson. There was a huge schmazzle there at the end. I had friends saying, “Well, how did he not know that he didn’t win there when I looked at the uh I backed up my video a little bit between Tim Wellins and the Pelaton? There was seven groups in total. Tim Wellins being one, the Pelaton being seven. There was just a huge like split of the field there. There was groups coming in. I think when Alfa Phippe and Vout caught up, they caught up like on the last bend. Tim Wells had already crossed the line. Victor Camparts was getting already close to the line. Uh there’s a picture a long shot where I think it shows Camparts underneath the banner and you can see them in the distance. I think Alfa Phippe and those guys just came around the corner, joined on and thought they were in the lead group. Uh Alfalipe did crash earlier in the day. He was the one who I I thought he was going to be out. He was holding his shoulder. Uh he was I think he was protecting his left arm. So, probably just maybe he’s had an injury there before and he was a bit nervous about it. Uh, three riders are out front now, guys. Let’s take a look at them here. Uh, what is it saying here? Holler and Hershey set off. Yeah. So, maybe Tutor’s like, “Come on, guys. We almost got something.” You know, Alfa Phippe got third place. We got to do something. You can tell teammates like to talk the night before. We’ve already seen this happen this year. We’ve seen um Machu Vanderpool and Rickert, they did it one day kind of like, “Man, we should go on a big breakaway. I really want to get on the podium.” Uh Machu looks at him and says, “Do you?” Yeah. And then they went and went on that 170 k 173 km breakaway. Battles are still happening here, folks. It’s going to be hot and heavy today. Hot and heavy. I think we’re going to drive all the way. The brakes going to get established. Uh then we’re going to see the hill climbers come out to play at the very end. Uh jumping back to the chat here, guys. Oh, guys, we just cracked through 100 people. We just cracked through 100 people. Uh okay. So, yeah, Bike Terra. I’ll be doing that pretty quick. Actually, I should see if it’s loaded right now. Uh just going to get over here, guys. Oops. I’m in the wrong spot, I think. Uh hang on one second, guys. Let me do this. Okay, here it is. I’m going to just jump in. So, Bike Terror, guys, is a virtual cycling app that you can ride your bikes inside and you can use the road tab to teleport up to the Pelton. Oh, that’s cool. So, they’ve done some updates. I’m just catching up your guys leading group. Wow, this is so cool. So cool. Uh, I’ll show you this guys in a bit. I’ve been using it every day. I think it’s a lot of fun. Uh, I will be riding more, guys. I didn’t even ride yesterday. So, on my day off, uh, did I sleep in? No, I think I slept till 5. Got up, did some chores, went to town, came back home. By the time I got back home, Joey Jojo says, “Hey, Colin. Uh, the grass needs to be cut at the office.” Okay. Load all the stuff in my vehicle, go all the way down, mow the grass, got home, and then I was just putting around doing some more stuff outside. So, I didn’t even go on my bike yesterday. So, today I’m getting on the bike for sure. Let’s get after it, folks. Uh, George Higs. George is a brand new dude here as well. George, I’ve never seen you before. Where you from, George? Tom Simpson was my hero growing up. Wow. So, George has been following cycling for a long time, guys. I think I hopefully George chimes in here. I think it was Tom Simpson. Well, I know it was Tom Simpson. I think he passed away in ‘ 67 climbing the vontto uh during the tour to France. And it’s that famous line, put me back on my bike. very chilling to me. Put me back on my bike. So, when we climb the von 2, uh you will see the Tommy Simpson memorial. I think Tom Simpson 2 was the first uh UK rider, British, English, whatever you want to call it, uh to wear the yellow jersey, I believe. So, George probably knows that. Uh Max Mabenta, is there any issue on weight limits? Uh, okay. So, he’s asking about the different col. So, the V5 RS and the the Y1 RS, guys, those are the worst model names for any bike out there. Uh, they’re really nice bikes, though. That’s Cole Nago uses those names. They’re very confusing. Uh, he’s asking if they’re using one over another. So, I’m assuming the V5 fire V5 is probably the Aerobike. Uh, and I think Max here is asking, why aren’t they using the climbing bike? Is it too light? Because guys, remember at tour of to France UCI rules um the bikes have to be a minimum weight. I think it’s 6.7 kilograms. Uh they can add weight to them and that’s what they do all the time. They’re always adding weight. They basically put weights into the frame uh to get it to the right level. Uh Don Starlink is great. It will be strong all day then just reboot early morning to prevent issues. Yeah, generally it happens just after 5 and today I was thinking today going to be the day. Oh, guys, my uh my coffee warmer that the channel helped contribute to uh is fantastic. I could This cup is nice and warm. I love it. Thank you, Joey Jojo, for coordinating that. Uh, okay. Colin Coats is getting ready to get off the bike and go to work. Yeah, Colin, today I’m just doing the route of the week. Uh, coast to coast. I think it’s 25K. I’m going to do today. I’m going to do this when we’re done. Straight outside, do chores, and straight on the bike. If I don’t get on, then I’m not getting on. Uh, yep. Just one climb today with the 1HC climb at the end. We got uh sprint points at 110k in. We’ve also got green jersey points at the top. Uh, okay. So, going back to the green jersey points, I would say maybe how about we reduce the green jersey points because it is Yeah, he’s right. Uh, who was it earlier that said that? Brandon said it. The green jersey is kind of like who’s your best all-around rider. Now, I always think of it more as a sprinter jersey. When I look at the people that have worn it generally over the years, they’re the sprint beasts. I think most people would agree with that. Uh but maybe they should reduce the green jersey points at the top of the bond two because basically you’re saying that top of the bond two for the sprinters is just as important as the sprint point down below which is not even close. We won’t see any sprinters at the top there. Uh yeah, I guess they’re just trying to mix it up. I shouldn’t think too much about it. Um, Don saying, “I heard that Julian Alle dislocated his shoulder in that crash on Stage 15 and his radio broke.” Yeah, his radio did break. I heard that he popped his shoulder back in place like in Lethal Weapon. Tough dude. He thought he won the stage. Yeah, his radio was gone. And that end part, if if you didn’t watch the whole stage like we did, you would have no clue. You’d be thinking, “Why was he celebrating?” I heard people say, “What an idiot.” Yeah, but you didn’t watch the whole stage. You didn’t see all the little things that were going on. Tim Wells was group one, the Pelaton was group seven. Uh there was five bunches in between chasing and those bunches were changing all the time. Uh these guys are riding all out probably like 60k an hour, 70k an hour, 80k an hour on the the gradual descent down into town. Uh they’re not chit chatting each other. Hey man, who’s in the lead? Hey bro, you know, it’s just like all out racing. Either way, uh, looks like Tutor is out for a day today. They got two riders in the break. Uh, a lot of teams, and you see it on all shows, and it always seems so dramatic. A lot of teams have done, and I hate to say it, nothing this tour. Uh, I don’t even like to say that, but that’s what they say, not me. Uh, you’ll see their DS is saying that we’ve done nothing. We have nothing to show for this. They all want to win. They all want to win. Looking here right now, I’m seeing more attacks go off the front right now. Three riders trying to jump away right now. Pelaton looks pretty blocked across the road. I think they just said go. Going to keep an eye on that. Just going to keep an eye on that. That’s not that long ago either. Uh okay, hang on. More uh race radio here. There is a reaction to it now. Okay, this is Red Bull. Red Bull coming in hot, folks. Coming in hot here. Uh what are they going to say? UAE chased it down directly. So, I mean, as expected, I think they want to go for it. Uh, okay. It’s mostly helicopter shots right now, guys. I’m not seeing a lot of motorbike coverage here. So, I can’t actually see who’s in that leading group. So, Red Bull just said that UAE just chased that down. There’s three riders trying to go off the front. So, obviously, Pogy wants a win today. Uh, we’re going to jump back to this little map here and see if we can see it. Here should be three riders out front. Just these three. And they’ve been given 15 seconds. So virtually nothing. It is It is rolly here too. This is not like a flat lead in all the way. Uh back to the chat. Uh any update on Pogy sniffles and sore throat? Hopefully the day off did him well. Uh yeah. So Machu Vanderpole apparently withdrew with pneumonia. Uh, I didn’t know he was feeling that bad. Imagine riding with pneumonia the day before. Uh, Pogy was sick the day before rest day. His nose did look really red. He said he was congested. And in any of his interviews, I saw him clearing his throat a lot. Now, whether there’s got anything to do with that, who knows? Then I did hear late yesterday, they said like half the pelaton sick right now. So, something’s going around through the pelon. Uh, Andrew was saying there was some freezes in the feed. Uh, I’m not seeing any here right now. So hopefully that’s me live. Live live. I hope. I think it’s a little bit behind. Uh, yeah. And Andrew here is also saying, “I miss the gone. He was such a beast.” Oh, totally. And like total like flamboyant character in the uh in the world tour. There’s certain riders like I think I said a little while ago and maybe someone took it wrong. They were basically well why don’t you like Chris Froom? It’s not that I don’t like him. I just didn’t like his style. I guess he was just very methodical, mechanical, robotlike. Uh no doubt incredible cyclist. There’s nothing to be taken away from that dude. Uh but I like guys like Sagon. Uh Julian Ala Phelipe who we just talked about. He’s another one that I really like. Quinn Simmons, you can tell he’s a great dude right away. Always wants to be up there. He’s stylish. He doesn’t care that his hair is flopping in the wind. Uh, hey, does anyone know does Quinn Simmons have a younger brother that’s racing? Does anyone know that? Uh, doing a lot of scouring around uh researching all the other bike races and I saw there’s another Simmons out there from the States and I thought, well, maybe maybe is there does Quinn Simmons have a younger brother that’s racing? Uh Don saying they changed the points jersey format green jersey this year. It evolved into a sprinter jersey these last 20 years. Uh Don saying look for echelon forming as they reach the hill for uh for their 20 km just one climb. Yes. Poggy saying sickness is from the hotel airroom conditioning and from all the ice they are eating. And also Don. Yeah. Don wealth of knowledge here with Don. Seeing Thomas uh Gashinard off the back for Total Energies. Just seeing if he’s banged up at all. Looks like just a mechanical. I think this guy looks like he’s kind of grimacing as he’s riding. Wonder if he did get banged up there and I just can’t see it. And he’s UAE the team UAE car is towing him right back to the front. So nice for them to do that. Did you guys see the uh oh, I don’t know, a little bit of war words between UAE and Vizma, specifically Pogy and Vout. Uh, I thought that was interesting. Love the drama. Okay, so here’s our group, guys. Three guys up front. Hershey, uh, Marco Holler, and Maurice Xandro. Xandro, I think I said Xander. Uh, then we got 13 seconds to the Pelton. Valentine Matass is down too. Bike change down as in he needs a rear wheel. Debris on the road, guys. I think that’s all it is. Uh we got a drop rider. That’s Gashinard who we just saw. And then Matass. So Mattoass and Gashinard just got dropped. Uh both getting rear wheel changes at the same time. It looks like Pelaton still pushing really hard. So yeah, uh they were talking about that point where early early in the stage virtually the entire Pelaton got stuck in a crash. Yonas is back there at the front there was about 25 riders including Pogy, Tim Wellins, Camponarts and Vout. Uh Vout looks at it and this is just the two sides of the stories. I’m not picking sides here. Vout looks at it uh if he wanted to do the right thing, he should have just slowed down and went back and waited for the pelaton because Vo is saying that him and Camparts already had a plan to go out hard that day. Um they weren’t going to be with Yonas. So they were like we’re just doing our race and as the same as the other 25 guys in that group. So, they’re saying if he really respected, and I’m paraphrasing phrasing here, guys, if he really respected what was going on and I guess Yonas and Vizma, he would have just like sat up and waited. Uh, Pogy saying, “I don’t even know what they’re doing with their race strategy.” I They’re going for stage wins. That’s what they’re doing. They’re going for stage wins. I can see why they did that. Uh, 4 minutes 13 seconds behind overall. Yona still has Seep Cous back there. He still has Matteo Jorgensson. Uh Simon Yates still had still got the rest of the team back there. Gashinard looks like he’s at the medical car. So maybe he did have a little bit of a bump, but Tatty’s just saying I don’t understand what Vizma is doing. Guys, what do you think Vizma should be doing right now? What do you think they should be doing? Uh yeah, Don saying your vote isn’t good at interviews. Uh, Don saying is Richard Quinn Simmons related to Richard Simmons. Yeah. Well, hopefully not, but or maybe so. Maybe that’s where he gets all his incredible V2 Mac and Max and aerobic conditioning. Shocks in the mix here. Good morning, uh, Inside Cycle World. Riders rested. The giant ahead is going to be a brutally good day. Oh, yeah. Oh, yes. Don saying, “Wow, isn’t good at interviews.” Yeah, he did like an 8minute interview there and he was not thrilled with Tatty at all. Basically, he thought Tatty should have just sat up and waited for Yonas. Okay, I agree with that. Tatty’s saying that Vout and Campernart should have went back to rescue Yonas. However, they’re saying we were already in the break for the day. We were already going hard. That was our plan. So, it’s the war of words, folks. It’s the war of words. But I don’t know what else Vizma can do right now. Um, Fred Vice, do we have an ETA to the finish? I hope I can stay on the whole way. Thanks again. Uh, Fred, I can look that up for you. Let’s take a look here. Uh, we’ll use this one here just so I don’t have to bounce around too much. Mont Pelier to Montu. You can jump over here and look at the time schedule. They know what this is going to take. And I’ll have to figure this out. So mom pelier start was at 12:40 c EST. That’s 4:40 in the morning for me. Uh I think this is about a 4 hour stage. So you can see we’re going to be the sprint point at 1507 c minus 8 hours. What’s that? I think that’s 8:07 in the morning for me. No, that’s 7:07 in the morning for me. Uh, so from the sprint, so 16:44. So that’s going to be 8:44 a.m. for me. I’m Mountain Standard Time. So these times are all uh estimates based on the speed. You can see here they estimate it all out. 16:44 is the fastest. Uh, se 1712 is the slowest. So that would be 8:44 a.m. to 912 a.m. for me. That makes sense. Uh, looks like we still have our little group out front. Three riders out front here. Ben Tomas trying to chase. This is the guy that had the polka dot jersey on day one. Day one, 3 hours and 37 minutes behind. Okay, just trying to catch up, guys. Uh, yeah, Fred, just pop back in when you can. If you got stuff to do, just pop back in or or even watch the video later. So guys, that’s all you got to do. Like later on I I try to do the playlists and actually Joey does all that. I used to do it um when my videos are a lot shorter, but now I’m just like to do a 5 hour video probably takes me six, seven hours of my life. Like only because I got to wake up and I got to get ready. And then afterwards I got to like decompress a bit. Uh then I actually do a little bit later in the day too. I set the stream up. I do a bit of research. I want to know where we are. try look at some maps, things like that. Speaking of which, I did want to do this today, too. Let’s take a look at the map for this one. Uh, let’s have a quick look at the map here. You guys can see it. So, we start here on the southwest corner of the map. Melier, again, this reminds me of the coast of Texas right here. All this stuff. And this would be this is more like Louisiana right here. All marshy. Uh, just a giant flood plane here. probably like this area is probably all like wildlife areas, marshes, swamps, weird birds that come in and nest and then they leave. These islands are changing over times. And then people will say things like, well, the islands are going No, they’re always going to change here. They’re always going to change. Uh the input of this water, whatever this river is here, I don’t know what this is. Uh what river is this, guys? Oh, Lrand Rome. Okay. It’s going to change over time. And I bet you it floods down here all the time, too. And then people are uh right here. Here’s a natural park right here. Here’s a here’s another nature reserve here. Yeah, cuz you shouldn’t be building stuff there. It’s going to go underwater. Uh people still build there. Anyways, uh we head northerly start heading to uh an easterly direction to our Sprint Point. Uh we’re just north of Avol and then we pass by Carpentress. I’ve seen that town before and then we head up to uh the Giant of Provence Malvonu. Things looking pretty static at the moment, guys. These three riders just out front by themselves. Three riders up front. Oo, here’s the sprint team. Sprint team’s coming, folks. Uh, even more pressure on Jonathan Milan now because he’s thinking, “Yeah, Tatty’s going to steal my points at the top.” Really has been the Sprinters jersey for a long time. Look, when you think about all the past Green Jersey winners, Robbie Mchuan, Eric Zabel, uh, Caendish, uh, all the sprint guns, right? Sagan, uh, yeah, they’re sprinters now. Yeah, I guess maybe they’re trying to make it more back of what it was where it’s more of a best overall riders jersey maybe. Uh oh. Okay, good, good, good, good. I got it here. Uh, Swoosh Kid. Colobby Simmons races for EF. Quinn’s dad talked about it a few stages ago. Okay, awesome. Swoosh kid. So, it is Quinn’s younger brother. I did did see him racing for EF. Uh, where did I see him? Oh, there was a one day Oh, yeah. More breaking news for you guys. There was, not that you guys probably know this already, but there was a one-day race somewhere in Spain yesterday. Guess who won? Isaac Del Toro. Uh, just a one-day race. It is a uh what is it? A 1.1 race. So, when you look at the numbers, a one means it’s a one-day race, a two means it’s a stage race of any of any distance. And then they have like a 0.1 or a 2.2 would be like the next step down. point one would be like a world tour race. So, the world tour teams are there. I need to go back and take a look and see if they were all there. I don’t think they were. Uh, I’ll take a look at that. I got really deep into the all the UCI points classifications yesterday. How you earn points throughout the season. Every standing is important. Cuz sometimes people say, “Well, who cares about fourth?” Uh, UCI points. UCI points are critical. Uh it it helps determine where your team stands and whether you’re going to be promoted or relegated. Uh someone who always points it out and I love this too. The uh the Red Bull jersey, the red pinstripes, that is super classy to me. Who said that? Someone pointed out a couple times. Primos looks good here. Come on, Primos. I’d love to see Primos vault up the standings a little bit. Uh, unfortunately that would mean either Oscar only or Kevin Vocalon are going to have to be bumped down, but I think Red Bull could get two guys in the top five. Let’s see about that. Um, yeah, MVDP is out with pneumonia. Uh, ABCD, dude, I love your name. I love your name. You, this guy was like, I got to think. Yeah, just ABCD. 1 2 3 4. Uh, where can I see the standings live, dude? Um, well, if you watch the screen, you’re pretty much seeing it live. Uh, so this is where we’re going live right now. Do you want to see the GC live? Is that what you’re talking about? Uh, do you want to know the virtual standings? Holler, tutor, sorry, hauler for tutor. Hershey and the oppos rider. Uh, grabbing quick bottles here. Looks hot out there. Let’s see what the temperatures. 26 degrees right now. 26 degrees out there. Just going to bounce back a bit here. Here they’re saying Tomas tried it again. I did see him go again. They’re trying to get out there. Keeping the pressure high. This is a good question here. Yeah. Has someone lost the yellow jersey in the last age? Yes. And I remember it. 1989. Uh Lauron Fol. It was a time I did. Okay, so this is good to know because I wasn’t sure when I said it. I thought was it the last stage? But I remember being on Cobble, so I thought that had to be the Sham. Uh he had a lead, I think, of 58 seconds. He ended up losing by 8 seconds to Greg Lamond in 1989. Greg went full arrow, Lon Fenol. He had a time trial bike, but he had a ponytail out. Didn’t wear a helmet. He had the uh the headband on for the sweat system you right there for the supermarket. Uh yeah, he lost in the final stage. And it’s a good question too. This guy’s asking here, Sylvia Morero de Carvalo. Uh I wanted to see like the most catastrophic catastrophic la losses like someone that had an eight-minute lead, something happened. They lost it all like a a day or two before the finish. Okay. Uh, let me catch up. Thanks again. Any anticipated weather issues during the climb or clear sailing? It looks like clear sailing to me, but guys, Vontu totally is windy. Um, I think some of the it’s all affected by the mistrol. The mistral kind of comes across uh and I did know this from the past. I’m I am kind of fascinated by winds. uh these geographical uh named winds. So out here we have shnook winds. They blow off the mountains. Uh and it’s a wind that warms as it descends. So the winds come off the mountains. There’s all the snow is out there. All of our ski hills are an hour and a half from here. Like when you go out there, there’ll be like 2 meters of snow just sitting on the ground all winter. Uh you can come out here an hour and a half away. There won’t be one speck of snow on the ground. Uh we have some of the craziest and everywhere says that just wait five minutes and the weather will change. That is the actual truth here. I think the fastest uh temperature change ever recorded in the world uh is not Alberta, but it’s just down in Montana. They experience the same shinook winds. You know what, guys? I’m gonna look that up for you. Uh I’ll get back to that. I’ll get to it. uh like a crazy temperature change and some of the fastest temperature changes either from hot to cold or cold to hot are they always happen here. So as the winds come over the mountains and they descend they naturally warm and they lose all the moisture in the mountains. So when they get out here shook means snow eater. So we’ll have no snow. You drive an hour away and there’s just feet and feet and feet of snow. Uh and it can be bone dry here. It’s a very dry part of the world here. So, of course, we have the Chinooks. Then you have uh the Santa Anas off the coast of California uh which aggravate all the fire conditions there. Uh we’ve got the Mistral in France. We got the Shurocco. I think that’s northern Africa. Uh so the Mistral comes I think from the northwest across that to the southeast of France right across the top of the Vonto making its way out to the Mediterranean. Uh they’ve recorded wind speeds on the top of the Von two over 200 miles an hour. It did say also as well, I think a quick thing I read was over 200 days a year. So 200 days out of 365 they record winds at the top over 90k an hour. So they must obviously obviously July is a good time to go up here where the winds kind of die down seasonal winds. Uh Don’s asking, “Did Del Toro win the tour?” Yes, he did. Uh Don, he won I think he I think it was five stages uh the tour of Austria. Uh he won stages 2, three, and four. Uh didn’t win stage five. I think he finished like 19th, but he’d already had it sewn up at that point. Uh so he won that and then just yesterday it was a one-day race in Spain. And so yeah, coming full circle now. That’s why I asked that question about uh Colby Simmons, I think is his name. He was at the race. So, I look at these races and go, “Where is he racing?” It’s a just a one-day race in Spain. Uh, that video is on YouTube and there is no commentary. So, I’m sitting there watching it going, “Huh, what could I do with this? What could I do with this?” So, those are the kind of videos I want to go back and see if I can do something like, can I do it and not get in trouble for using their video? I don’t know. Uh, and by get in trouble, you don’t get in trouble. You just can’t do nothing with it really. Sometimes they’ll block it even. Um, but yeah, there’s zero commentary. So, for me, it’s like why can’t I wonder if I can watch that and try to throw some commentary on. But anyways, EF was there and that’s where I saw Kobe Simmons and I’m like, American Simmons, there can’t be that many of them out there uh racing at world tour level. Yeah. So, Del Toro did win the tour of Austria the other week and no doubt Don Stain too, the green jersey. I just seen something going on here for uh Israel Premier Tech Rider. Just put his foot down really quick. Probably just pulling over the car. Okay, let me get back here, guys. Uh question question time. Isaac Del Toro is only 21 years old. Is he only 21? I’ll have to look into that. Yeah, that guy’s a superstar of the future there. That’s how jam-packed UAE is with talent. It’s insane. Uh okay, Becky’s got a question. Love the questions, Becky. Uh, hey, any of you lurkers that are in the chat? Yeah, you know who you are, lurkers. Oh, sorry guys. I got top chat again. Okay, let’s go back here because I screwed this up. If I missed anyone, uh, okay, Becky, question. How long after taking a gel does it have an effect? So, for a power boost, do you plan ahead or is it immediates? I imagine it’s got to be pretty quick. Uh Becky, I know you’re brand new here. Uh I was saying in a few streams before, I’ve never actually used a gel. Uh I do all my cycling inside now and even outside my rides would be like 2 hours. I just eat conventional food. I’m not racing at a level that I I I know a lot of people that take gels inside. I’m like, just eat some M&M’s. I don’t know, whatever. Just fuel. You got all this. You could have a donut um like riding inside. Just jam a donut in your face. Get some sugars into you. drink a Coke. Uh, obviously these are the elite athletes, so they’re going to use gels. I think they’re pretty effective. Uh, all carbs. Uh, I think they get into them pretty quick, but they’re taking them all the time. They’re probably consuming a gel per hour, I would assume. So, think about that. When you go buy your energy gels that are like 250, three bucks a crack, these guys are probably taking one per hour minimum. Uh I think a lot of these riders will say at their output levels, they’re probably consuming like 100 to 150 grams of carbs per hour. So they’re trying to get it in the form of gels or in uh get their nutrition in the form of a water bottle. So they’ll take it in that way as well. So yeah, uh Alpus and Done here down to six riders. Matu out and Philipsson out. That’s their two big guns. Uh Kaden Groves is still left for sprint points. Uh he’s quite a ways down in the standings though. If anyone else has an answer for Becky here, uh, guys, this is the community. This is why we’re here. Share your questions. Share your knowledge. 119 slowly building, guys. And guess what? My coffee is still nice and hot. See a Total Energies rider going off the front here in this little bit of a delayed feed of mine. 131. Yeah. So, it’s about a kilometer behind there. I think I backed it up for that radio feed. Actually, there’s two Total Energy riders there going off the front. Wonder if they got a plan here. They might I And it looked like it was right before a huge roundabout. Total. Oh, and another white jersey. Looks like a really tall rider. I wonder if that’s a UAE rider. Let me have a look at this. Uh, looking at the feed here, it is a UAE rider. And if you’ll notice here, I said it’s a really tall rider. It’s Neils Plet. And like the camera bikes aren’t I wonder if they’ve been told stay away from the the riders. Wonder if there was a little bit. I bet you there was a lot of complaining uh about Tim Wells because he did he surfed the motorbike a little bit but the motor bike was there. It’s not his fault. Uh so this total rider is trying to get away and Neil’s Paul sitting right on him. The total rider looks back and there’s this like giant of a man sitting on his wheel. So UAE is controlling everything today. Uh obviously UAE wants a stage win. Hey, what do you think? Maybe Pog is going to say, “Hey guys, why don’t you win it? Why don’t you that I like seeing that? I like when the teams in the past, uh, any of the teams, but I’ll use Lance for example, when he’d want one of his teammates to go for stage one.” Uh, Dawn, the best climate difference was when my friend moved to Reno, Nevada, skiing in the mountains that morning and hang on the beach. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Lake Tahoe. hot. I love that part of the world. Um, my daughter was born July 13th in Calgary and it was snowing. Next day it was plus 28. Yeah, Calgary. I think you’ve you can see snow any month of the year. Uh, and you know what? I kind of leave the door. My house has a bunch. Check this out. My house has one, two, three, four, five. I have five doors to my house if you can believe that. There would have been three originally and we added two on to this crazy room on the side. But anyways, uh we have one of those like magnetic things for the dogs to go in and out so the doors wide open. Like I wake up now and it’s like I got a cold it’s getting cold already. Um it’s a bit rainy out but we’re getting days already that are probably 5° overnight. Um it is raining. So right now it’s 7° C. So, it’s probably like 45 Fahrenheit. It’s not cold, but you can Yeah, it feels like fall. It feels like fall already. Um, Robert’s in the mix. Hey, Robert. Thanks for coming back, dude. And thank you so much for your support of the channel. Andrew’s here. Okay, upgrade your mind. Her joking yesterday that no riders were eating Snickers bars. Dude, I saw that one. I saw that one. So, I guess Chris her used to always eat Snickers bars. I would too. I would too. I heard when Greg Lamond raced. He had the worst diet, too. When he would train with riders, uh, they’d be riding with them and he’d pull over, pick up a slurpee and a Hogy at the 7-Eleven. Uh, I mean, back then, too, the diets were probably nowhere near what they are now, but some riders just can can do it. Race day, drink up. Oh, what’s this? Chat Naru de Pepe. I have no idea. It sounds like something really fancy. What is that, Jeff? Uh, Don saying, “Becky, I used to take those shots that were like frosting. They used to take effect in three to five minutes.” Wow. Fast to digest. I didn’t know it was that quick. So, it’s like a turbo boost. Almost. Taddyy did a great interview with Peter Adia where they talk about training and nutrition. Oh, okay. Yeah, I know Peter Adia. That’s that doctor who’s all about nutrition and uh longevity of your life. I didn’t know he did that. I’m look for that. Was he good in the interview? Actually, sometimes I find Tatty to be quite stiff and I think it’s just his language. I don’t think I think Tatty obviously he speaks English well, but he doesn’t use it all the time. I think I think when he’s away he speak whatever Sylvanian is. Uh, I think that’s his primary language. So, sometimes I think he has a hard time breaking back into English and that’s not his fault. Uh, that’s us not understanding him. Okay, Jeff. Uh, they have the rule that you cannot hold on to team car. I think the only exception is if the mechanic is doing something. Is that a rule? Yeah, they’ll bust people for holding on to the car too long. Uh, a few years ago, I forget which tour it was. Uh, Vincenzo Nibbi. I know they like to say Nibali. It’s always been nibbly to me. Uh, he got ejected from the tour. I don’t know if it was the Jirro. He held on to the car and supposedly the car accelerated to 100k an hour. Um, and I and I think he had a mechan Yeah, he said he had I just heard it in that book, too. He had a mechanical, so that was his reasoning for being allowed back on. Well, I had a mechanical and they didn’t wait for me, so I’m allowed to be back there. Well, yeah, but not really. Uh, so you can only hold on so long. Uh, you’re supposed to actually keep pedaling, I think, too, if possible. Like, you can’t just surf the car. Um, if your mechanics working on, you know, your handlebars or your tape or something, I think they want you pedaling the whole time, whether it’s soft pedaling or not. You can’t just get a free ride. Obviously, don’t pedal while the guy’s working on your derailure, but Okay. Okay. So, Robert’s agreeing, too. So, guys, I haven’t even heard that podcast. I’m I’m going to download that today. Not your normal Pogy interview. Okay. Okay. I’ll get on that, guys. That’ll be today. Uh I’ll try to listen on my bike ride. Let’s take a look at the race. See what’s going on here. Still three riders are front. So, these three have been allowed to go. Uh we’ve got our chasing group. Uh Delatree, Elbar, and Vandenbrook. So they Neil’s Paul’s gone back and they’re letting the French rider and two other riders go up front. Probably looking at their times, these guys are like two hours behind. Uh but I still think UAE is trying to set up for the win today. And just my gut tells me, let’s let someone else win. Can’t have your GC guy win everything. you know, uh they’re here to help him win, but it sure is nice if you can give one of your uh domestics, one of your road captains, your lieutenants something as well. Uh looks like there’s quite a bit of big bunch coming up here now. I’m not sure if they’re going to pull that back right away. Just seeing this evolve as we speak. Uh so here we go, guys. Yeah, there’s a bunch trying to go, but they’re right. There’s 11 riders there. They’re sitting off the front. They’re just going to get absorbed back in. We’ve got our three up front. So, I think UAE is only comfortable with three riders being up there. There’s no one in between. Um, okay. It was back when I used to get dizzy on rides. So, for a 50 mile, I would need to pack food with me. Goo shots. Okay. Would be lighter. Yeah. So, I think riding outside, I would 100% use them. But, you know, in the time I’ve been back in Sudal rider here calling for assistance, uh, looks like or he was waving at someone on the side of the road. That was kind of funny. Uh, my outside rides would be like an hour, two hours. I’m not going as fast as these guys. My energy reserves can get me through that. Uh, inside though, I find I have everything here. Uh there is times when I ride with like a real sickly sweet drink and then my water bottle just to get some calories into me. Uh virtually impossible to eat much inside though. I find if you’ve tried to eat whilst you’re riding working hard, you can see the benefits of uh energy gels because you just can’t get them in. It’s pretty windy out here, too. It’s looking windy out here to me. Uh I could see a chance of echelons forming if they’re not smart. And that’s what I’m kind of seeing on screen now. Uh, how delayed is this? This 123. Hang on, guys. I want to see what’s going on here. I think Yeah, the Pelaton split up. There’s actually like a good 20 m split uh between about 30 40 riders off the front and the back. So, it looks windy enough that we could see some echelons forming. Uh, it depends on where the word which way the road goes, how the riders react. According to this, we’ve only got three riders out front. Ah, okay. This here is a rider trying to get back on using the uh race director’s car to get right back on. Pelaton is quite stretched out. It’s already heating up, guys. Average speed right now. Take a look at this. Haven’t really mentioned this. 51.9 km an hour into the first hour of racing. So, get on your bike today and go ride at 51.9 km an hour. That’s like 32 miles an hour. see how long you last. Uh, okay. Orte Guerreras Ju. Hey, Colin. How you doing, dude? I’m doing great. Thanks for seeing for you being here. Yeah, seeing Paul go berserk up front is always a mustwatch. Yeah, definitely. Definitely. And you can always see him. Uh, that white smile of his, you can see from a mile away. Or just look for the tallest guy out there, it seems. So, when I saw those two riders going, I saw I just saw two white jerseys. Uh, it was from the motorbike and I’m like, “Okay, that guy behind looks huge. That’s got to be a UAE rider.” Uh, in the name of Plet. Yeah. And you can’t tell if he’s smiling or riding in absolute pain. You can never tell. Eric, uh, friend here, dude, you’re brand new. Brand new. Say hi to everyone. 30 seconds for the gel. Holy crap. Are you serious? Uh, guys, people ask me all the time. I actually had one of my uh friends over on Ruby say, “Dude, I want to sponsor your channel. I’m going to send you a box of gels.” We never got I I never took them up on the offer. I’m like, “Dude, just don’t worry about it. Like, it’s okay.” Um, I’ve just never used them. Uh, so listen to this. This is from Eric. Eric, great uh input here. I love this kind of stuff. Uh, this is important for everyone. Even like me, I’ve been riding bikes a long time. I just don’t use them. Uh maybe it’s for people that are just thinking about getting Oh, hopping the road furniture, guys. Hopping the road furniture. Time that hop wrong and you’re down. Tour could be over. Uh I was bonking on a double century. That’s 200 miles, guys. And my buddy, a Catwan Pro handed me a power bar and said, “Eat and drink half your bottle within minutes.” And I was back on his wheel pushing 25 miles an hour. Okay. So, yeah, that they’re designed to give you an instant energy shot. Aunt Debbiosi’s back again. Uh, Mr. Debbiosi, I like to call him. Good morning everyone. Ray Phillips Regis, I think Ray Phillips is UAE or visibly not trying to win, dude. I think uh UAE is setting this up for a stage win today. Uh, they’re actually showing a replay right now. Neil’s pallet went to the front. Here it is. UAE. Okay, then I’ll come back. Close the road. I come back. I let him go. So Neil’s pilot reacted to the Total Energy Riders going up the road that was Delatree. He grabbed his radio and it just showed the uh the radio broadcast there and you know probably like English is not his first language. I come back I come back close the road. So close the road means line up across the road and shut it down so no one else can go. So UAE is totally trying to control this today. I’m seeing Bingum for the first time today. Bingum is at the front of the Pelaton today. Maybe he’s going to go for green jersey points today. He’s got to get something. Hasn’t had like a stellar tour yet. Uh Quinn Simmons, Team Simmons riding on the back here. Uh yeah. So, I think UAE is going for a stage win. And I’m thinking it may not be Pogy today. I think it might be someone else. Robert, weirdest thing I used to eat on the bike was little red potato. Now that’s weird. That is weird. Robert, pre-cooked, stuffed in Jersey. Tasted like sugar. Tasted like sugar. Bad idea. Really, dude. All carbs. Maybe soft. You get them down easy. I find when I eat like a Cliff Bar, I can’t even chew them. I’m like gagging on them cuz I’m losing breath. Uh, you can’t get them down. Looks like Julian Alan Philipe is on the front here. And another twod dooror rider in the forms of store it looks like to me. And we see Tim Wellins, Neil Plet sitting on the front right now with one other UAE rider there. Poggy pulling up too. UE is controlling, guys. Adia interview uh is very good. Get the long version though, not the shorts. Yeah, dudes. I’m all about long long stream content, as you can tell. Uh and and to be honest, I’ve told people that before, if I if I’m on YouTube and I see an 8minute video, I don’t even want to watch it. Like I there’s not going to be enough there for me to be entertained. It’s just going to be edited down, cut up junk, dumb little highlights. I want the three-hour version and I’ll take it in when I want to. Um, so yeah, dude, thanks for that. Uh, Fred saying, “Get there.” So, there’s a longer version. That’s the one I’m looking for. Bonjour, guys. Tequila here. Tula, uh, hope everyone’s doing we’re doing great. Thank you very much. Andrew Moss again. Tatty was very good. Zone two for up to five. Yeah, I know. His zone two is just insane. Zone two is insane. Uh, new dude here, OJ JK21. Hello everyone. Wishing everyone a nice day. You too, Neil. Neil Rushby. Cheers, dude. Cheers, Neil. Uh, dinner time. I’m here for 30 minutes. Cheers. Thanks a lot, Neil. Uh, Neil just picked me up my first coffee of the day. Love it. And guys, the coffee still warm. Uh, I’m going to show it again just so you guys can see it. I got to put my coffee on something else now. Uh, if you can see it, you might be able to see it here. donations from the channel, guys. Right here, uh Joey went and picked up a little uh coffee warmer for me. Oh, now you can see it better right here. It’s one of those little hot plates cuz I keep complaining about having a a cold coffee. I guess I talk too much. Uh Neil, thank you so much, dude. Uh Neil is someone I know extremely well. Uh over from Muckers Worldwide, I started covering their races. Oh, probably like, wow, in January, it’ll be two years ago, I started doing their races for them. Uh, it’s probably the biggest race community on Ruvie. They race Tuesday races. They race, their big races are Thursdays. They do a Sunday morning hill climb, mountain climb. Uh, I think they did the Mon 2 yesterday, I’m pretty sure. Uh, I haven’t done much for race coverage for them because I’ve been doing all this. Uh, but I still keep tabs on what’s going on and I would like to do their hill climbs, but it’s a 2 AM start for me. I did it once and I think I took about a year and a half off my life. I did uh Mount Lemon at 2:00 in the morning with them. They’re all waking up. What’s early to them is like death’s door to me, guys. Average speed still 51.7 km an hour. And currently we have still have our group of three UAE controlling everything. Neil’s Pollock going up after solo breaks by one dude from a team that’s got nothing yet this tour. Uh they are covering every move outside of the three they let go early. Uh Neil, thanks again. Uh Neil, my bucket list climb today. Can’t wait to watch it tonight on the rerun. Yes, Neil. Neil was saying this. This is uh his like bucket list. I got to do this in real life climb. Me too, man. If I live closer to Europe, I would be Yeah, like if you live in the UK or Yeah, let’s just say I still live in the UK. Was born there, guys. Um, I would be making trips all the time to France and Italy and Spain and Portugal. Uh, I really like to go to Spain a lot. That’s where I think I’d be all the time. So many good climbs there. Hey guys, tour Spain coming up next month. I think it starts August 23rd. Be here. I’m doing it. Um, okay. If anyone gets ahead on the flat part of this route, they will get caught going up the climb. Yep, they will. Pogy and Yonas will be the only two reaching the top first. I agree. The two strongest ones in the bunch. Yeah, this should be a Yonas Pogy duel to the top. I don’t think this is the day that anything’s going to really change. Like, I don’t think Von 2 is one where Yonas can take time out of him. I think that could happen later in the week. Uh if there’s any cracks in Pogy this year, it’s stage 18 and 19 coming up on Thursday and Friday. I think those are going to be the two best stages of the tour. Uh Becky, you’re saying, “Are Visma drafting UAE? Is Vout still up there or noodling around the back?” Uh yeah, right now I’m looking at it. UAE is on the front and Vizma’s just sitting in behind them. There’s two Vizma riders then Yonas. Looks like three UAE riders there. I didn’t see Pogy. He must have just drifted back. Yeah, Vout’s in the main group, too. Brandon, I climb mountains and run run trail run. Used to race as a cyclist when younger, but I love cliff bars for sustained fast energy, especially in the mountains and quick energy bursts like like bomba candies. What’s a bomba candy? Fit in my pockets when I run. Yeah. So, I really like Cliff Bars. I just can’t digest. I can’t eat them. Uh, when I’m riding, it feels like I have to take a bite and then drink water to kind of soak them down. It’s probably my favorite bar to eat, though. Energy mostly work within minutes, but absorb fast. If you let absorb in the mouth, they also uh sustain energy over some time. Okay, maybe someday I’ll try out some energy gels. Hey, Energy Providers, why don’t you send me three pack of three? I’ll try them out. Uh, Belgian TV showing lots of guys running on bike cameras. Oh, they’re streaming their cameras. Maybe I want each guy. Yeah, I wonder if that’ll ever be a rule where they have to all carry cameras and then you can pay. Okay, I’m seeing a JC Alula rider here side of the road like stand still, not stop, like barely pedaling. I wonder if he’s having trouble with the shifting. Um, dancing. I I hooked up to a semi-pro club once while my club was on a ride and I was doing 27 miles an hour without trying. It was cool. Drafting is a real thing. Oh, absolutely. Mamba type candy. Lol. Uh, oh, Mamba, not Bomba. Uh, energy are also great. Yeah, guys, if 30 50% you can save drafting it if a if someone’s smashing and they actually talked about it. I think it was Chris her talked about it. If a guy’s pushing like 3 400 watts down a hill, like kind of a steep hill, Chris her says you could save 70% of your energy just sitting in behind him. Uh I think that’s when he talked about eating a Snickers bar in that video, actually. Uh yeah, Cliff Bars, power bars are awesome. Yeah. No longer increases your jaw strength. Oh yeah, yeah. Oh, I see what you’re saying there, Don. Power bars are no longer available inre. I could barely chew a power bar. I don’t know how people could digest those uh on a bike ride. 51.3 km an hour, guys. Rocking it. 113.4 km still remaining in the stage. Going to just fly back here a little bit. Uh okay, so that’s why Tatty disappeared. He had a quick uh natural break on the side of the road. So UAE was pushing the Pelaton. Tatty was there, disappeared. Breakaway Group riding slightly quicker than the Pelaton. 51.4 compared to 50.6K an hour. I’m going to jump back here, guys, for a second. Uh, what I want to show you here. See if we got any near live videos that we can use today. Let’s just look at this here quickly. This was the start today, guys. I wonder if this is going to show. So, here’s the flag drop, guys. Here’s the flag drop. And race time. kilometer zero race time. That’s how quick it happens. Off they go. That’s what racing is like these days. There’s no slow starts. There’s none of that going on anymore. Uh it’s right off the rip. And I think I’m going to try to show you something here. Maybe we can do this now. Uh hang on a second. We’re going to do this quickly here. We’re going to exit that and we’re going to sign back in again. Okay, that’s the Tatty group. Here’s the leading group. Really not that far ahead of them. Okay, and what I want to show you here too is we’re going to take a look at the Von two itself. And I’m just going to talk about that for a little bit here. Find it to be fascinating. So, let’s have a quick look. Got to do this guys. Sorry about this. Uh, Climbinder. So, here we are, guys. This is Climbinder again. Uh, really like this app here. Let me jump into itself. So, this is the Monvon 2 from Bedawin. It’s 20.8 km. Average gradient is 7.7%. What are you looking at? Okay, so here’s Bedawin right here. It’s down there. You’re going to head out of town this way. This is an HT climb. Mvon 2 from Bedawin. you connect on. So, it’s out in the open at first, then you tuck into the forest here, and there’s a lot of steep stuff through here. Uh, I think there’s sections here where it’s like basically 3 kilometers near 10%. Uh, this is the important junction here. This is Shalley Renard. This is the huge coffee stop. I imagine everything is overpriced here. Everything. Uh, and then you pop out of the forest right at Shalai Renard and you start going through just the desolate landscape at the top of Montu here. Uh, you will pass the Tommy Simpson Memorial. It’s in this area right here. Um, and something else that’s really cool up there, you you might be able to see it on the screen right now. Yeah, I I do have it open. Uh there’s another memorial up there and it’s it’s right here. I found this today. So what I did is I pulled up Google Maps, too, so you can see what it looks like. What’s all this white stuff, guys? It’s just all white limestone. It’s just rubble. There’s nothing left up there. Uh and I knew this from the past. I did look it up again yesterday. It was just all deforested way back. So I guess in the 12th century uh this was a prime area to come up here cut lumber uh for ship building uh down at the port wherever they did the ship building right here. So here’s Shalley Renard right here. You can see it now. I mean look at all these picnic tables sitting outside. I mean it looks like the place is ba basically built on the road. Uh so you can imagine you’re a cyclist. You get to this point you want to take it all in. You’re not tatty. You’re not uh a a superstar climber. You you stop here. You grab your coffee, your quason, your bon bonss, uh maybe some bomba candies, uh and uh just take it all in. So yeah, they they just deforested this way back when and it’s so windy. Uh who knows like just that the trees never got a chance to get reforested. They said they have reforested parts of it though. If you look back at climb finder here again, I’m just watching the race too. Everything’s still sitting static right now. Uh so Bedawin here is the main climb. It’s highlighted here in red. We’re going to work our way up. Uh there’s also this climb here. This is the climb from Mllysine up the backside. You can see it connects on right here. So this would be the descent into Molly’s or you can climb up the backside. Uh almost as hard. You can see it gets a 1313 rating. And then when you come to the Bedawin climb, I think it gets a 1352 1352 climb. The climb from Sue, we have a place in Canada. It’s called Sue Staint. Marie, spelled the same way. So, I’m just sticking with Sue. Uh, they only give that one a 748, which I kind of find hard to believe. They’re calling it a catwan climb there versus an HC over here. A lot steeper. Uh, I wonder if this is just this chunk of it and they didn’t factor that part in. Yeah, they say it’s all the way. Anyway, so there’s three different ways to climb. Uh, there’s something here you should know about, too. There’s an event they put on every year. Is it every year or can you do it anytime? Uh, it’s the song Glaze, C I N G L E S, where you do all three climbs in one day. So, how does that work? This is what you do. You could start from any of the towns, Sue, Bedawin or Mosine. Let’s say you start in the traditional B bedawin. You would go up to Bedawin, climb up to the top of the vontto. Then you would descend down into either Molysine or Sue. I’m going to descend into Molysine. Then I would go I would turn around to Mosine and immediately climb back up to the top of the Vonto. Then you need to descend again. Uh I would descend down into Sue. Then I need to climb all the way up from Sue again to the top and then I need to finish uh back in my starting town in Bedawin. So it’s a very elite club. People do this. Uh it’s a ton of climbing. It’s it’s quite the ride. And there’s even another thing you can do here. I think there’s a mountain bike trail that comes summer up this backside. Uh you can add that on top. There’s people that have done double song glaze. So, they’ve done six ascents of the Von two in one day. Just insanity. Uh, love learning about that kind of stuff. I made a video about that way back when. Uh, trying to use Ruby to do that. Okay guys, I’m going to jump back to the chat here. I want to see what’s going on in the race. All looks static right now. Okay, so our group of three is still up front. Then we’ve got our Pelaton of 161 riders and we got gashard. So, that means we only got 164 riders. Did we lose anyone else? Uh oh, that was right. That was yesterday. Yeah, that was yesterday. Uh Alfalipe crashed pretty hard at the very beginning. If we go to withdrawals here from yesterday, did anyone withdraw on the rest day? Sometimes they do that. Uh outside of Machu Vanderpool. Uh ooh, right there. Uh I didn’t see this one uh when Van Eatvelt did not start stage 15. I didn’t even know about that. So, our numbers are just slowly dwindling downwards. Stage 16 here. Let’s take a look at the map again. I I am seeing the one rider. This I think this is Gashinard off the back. Yeah, this is Gashinard here. I’m worried about Gashard right now. This guy uh I would say he looks pretty emotional right now. I think he’s hurt really bad. And I saw him earlier, too. He is just at the very beginning of the state. this Gashinard guy for is it gashard? Uh, he’s for Total Energies. It is Gashinard. Uh, it looked like he was struggling at the beginning. So, I think he’s riding through something that’s just killing him. He’s grimacing riding and looks like he’s probably crying a little bit knowing he’s going to pull out soon. So, poor dude. Uh, okay. Let’s get back to it, guys. I’m sorry. Uh, yeah, Robert’s laughing here. Yeah, power bars. Yeah, just break your jaw. Dentists must have hated those old power bars. Rip filling is right, too. Yeah, exactly. That’s what I used to think. Uh, Fred Rice that What was Lance eating back in the day? Is nutrition more fine-tuned? Yeah, absolutely. More fine-tuned. Yeah, I think it’s gone light years. Uh, the guys were mentioning that there’s a really good interview with Pogy and Peter Adia. I’ve never listened to it. I’m sure he talks about there. And actually, I know over on Inside the Ride, that’s the uh the My Whoosh podcast. I’ll just call it that. The My Whoosh podcast. Uh Sai Bradley, not Bradley, Bradley. Uh he does an interview with UAE’s head of performance, whatever his title is. Uh so, you might learn something there. But yeah, I think those are the things that have all been changed. And I like to joke about it. uh just how good the performance enhancements were in the past, if you get what I’m saying. Because even with all the the new stuff, the tech, the nutrition, the training, the better equipment, the better clothing, uh some of these clims still stand from the older days when it was just baggy jerseys, bandanas, dangly earrings, uh things that just no one would ever do anymore. But the supplements were so good, those records still stand. Well, maybe they don’t stand because I know if you go on Strava, you won’t see the records. They’re eliminated now. Uh, but we know what they are. Uh, Neil, I struggle to digest them as well. Chewing forever to try and get small enough to attempt swall. Yeah, Neil, I’m gushing water down my throat, half drowning, trying to get a bite down. I feel like almost I would do better like if you guys know what a Boston cream uh donut is, it’s like chocolate on top and it’s stuffed with like a cream, pure sugar. Pure sugar. I could wolf that down no problem. Obviously that’s inside, guys. I’m talking inside where I got a table. Okay. Uh Neil’s Polllet looking back here at the crew. A lot of riders are looking back. So something’s just happened offcreen there. Uh and then they’re right back into it. Trying to figure out what happened there. Let me have a quick peek. See if I can get something from race radio here. Schmid and Plapp have been caught but otherwise try their chances despite Neil’s Plet trying to. So we saw that earlier Jacob not happy with the situation. So they’re trying but it seems Neil Pa keeps pulling everyone back. Yeah, I’m watching right now. We have Kodus on the front. a Yuno X rider, I I believe. Okay, then the camera cuts away. Okay, let me go out of here. Uh, June Basada, hi everyone. Good day cycling to all. Neil saying the KMC Neil, I think you’ve told me about those before. The KMC gels and bars are amazing. Minty. Oh, I like that. Minty. Uh, Jeff Pangubatan uh does the race. Yeah, dude. It’s already underway. I’ll keep you updated as quick as I can what’s going on out there. Anything I’m allowed to show you, I will. I know Joey Jojo even put a disclaimer in the YouTube thing. Like, I can’t show you the race. If I’m showing you the race, I’m ripping them off. Uh I’m doing everything I can here that I’m allowed to do. There’s lots of ripoff channels out there. Uh they all get shut down midstream. Uh Eric, Eric, uh I think this is Eric’s. I raced when I was attending Calpali. uh university and once raced with cat one and two pros in a criterium. I stayed in the front group. I lasted 15 minutes before my Azer got me. Those guys are fast. Oh, absolutely, dude. Like when you think you’re good, like dude, there’s times when I think I’m good. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m pretty good. I’m pretty good.” Yeah. Yeah. I tell I go tell Joey Jo, “Oh, I killed it. I’m nowhere like I’m terrible compared to good cyclists.” Becky, there’s illness in the Pelon for sure. Arg. They need to take immune boosters. Yeah, they said like half the Pelaton says they’re feeling sick. Uh, a flu. They’re probably going to brand it as COVID 2025 now. They’ll probably be taking COVID tests. Please don’t cancel any more bike racing for me. Please don’t do that. Uh, June’s asking, “What team is leading the tour of France?” I think it’s still Vizma. We can look at that. I think it’s still Vizma at this point. Team rankings after stage 15 general ranking team. It’s still Vizma. So team Vizma Lisa Bike. I don’t know. I think they rank it on a few of the riders, not all of them. Uh UAE’s in second place. Uh Vizma has a lower elapse time by 16 minutes and 51 seconds. Red Bull Tathlon Arga B&B hotels. So, Vizma. Uh, okay. Gotta, okay, so that’s Neil again. Okay, Neil’s got to get back to work. Yeah, Neil. No, no slacking at work, dude. Uh, okay. I got to get So, he was on his lunch, I think. Okay, got to get back to work, so won’t be there when you read this. Enjoy the chat coverage, guys. Hopefully back tomorrow, dinner time. Uh, PS. Cheers for the segment about doing the climb three ways. Yeah, Neil, you got to do them all. Got to do them all. just go to uh Provence, hang out, pick a town as your home base, and spend Yeah. three glorious days climbing the Mong 2. That sounds like a dream trip to me. We should hook that up, Neil. Meetup in in real life meetup. Uh yeah, Jeff here. Dude, you’re right about this. This year’s number one tech is shorter cranks. The longest cranks are Grant Thomas Oldchooler 172.5. Is there any confirmation of short cranks here in the chat? We haven’t discussed it yet, but I think some of them are using like 160 mil cranks now and they’re going shorter even. I don’t know what the benefit is really. Just I guess quicker turnover of the pedals. I guess maybe it increases your RPM naturally. That’s all I can think of. Uh Robert, thinking about getting a a CGM continuous glucose monitor just because I’m interested. Would want to see what a donut would do. Yeah, me too. Uh, I watch a lot of triathlon guys. I love Lionel Sanders. Uh, let’s have a look here. Poor Gashinard. He’s slipping back now. 220. So, this is the guy that was they showed him now. He’s in agony. Something’s bothering him. He was in agony earlier. Uh, so I think I I hate to say it, but there could be a withdrawal coming up at the rate he’s drifting back. So, you can see here, guys, uh, UAE is serious about taking the stage today. The three riders up front who’ve been away all day, they’ve got a six-second lead. It’s 6 seconds to the Pelaton. So, basically, if I was these guys, I would just shut her down. You’re caught. Why just throttle yourself up front any longer? Um, yeah, Jeff. Sorry. Uh, Robert, it would be cool to see that, wouldn’t it? So when I watch Lionyl, he stops and does all that lactic testing, too, where they take a little pin, drop of blood from your ear, read it, and they can look at it and go, “Okay, this is how you’re reacting to that.” I I love that kind of data. I think it’s like a lactic test. How’s your lactic buildup in your body? How quick are you clearing it out? A donut would just absolutely spike it. I can see the vonu in the background already. It’s looming. It’s waiting. Uh Fred saying, “Does the turf franchise do this particular climb every three years?” So, so the last time they climbed it would have been 2021. 2020. I’m going to double check for you here. Uh I think that is the last time they climbed it. Yeah, 2021 they climbed it. They didn’t finish at the top though. The last time they finished at the top was 2016. So, they’ll either just whip right over it or they’ll stop at the top. So it’s been, you know, nine years since they finished at the top. Before that was 2013, 2009, 2000. So guys like Rishar Veron, uh Chris Froom went up here in 2013. Marco Pontani in 2000 showing Lance’s name there uh with a little cross through it. Jean Francois Bernard in 1987. I love that guy. That was an individual time trial. a 36.5 kilometer individual time trial up the MVO 2. That’s the kind of stuff I want to see. And they’ve done that before way way back when in 56 Charlie Gaul uh won it. Uh it was a 21.5. So it’s would have start Yeah, it started in Bedawin. I was just going to say that would have started just a further bit down the road. Uh the 36.5 km time trial was from Carpontra which is just a bit south of Bedawin. So much cool history of the tour. Uh, okay. I’ve lost my stream. There we go. I’m back. Uh, okay. Yeah. So, they did it four years ago. They finished here 9 years ago. It is a cool climb. Uh, okay. I love guys who just are who are just going to like randomly stomp in here. So, and stomp in. And I just, dude, I’m looking at your name as I said that out loud. Waffle stomp Oz. So I’m thinking maybe he’s an Australian. You’ll see no discernable difference on a CGM if you have eaten. Your body, unlike people with type 1 diabetes, still releases both insulin from the pancreas and uh gluccogen from the liver. Dude, this guy knows what he’s talking about, I think. So basically, so waffle stomp, if I had one of those meters hooked up and I just want uh I wolf down like a Snickers bar and a donut, it’s not going to spike or my body just knows what to do and levels it out. Whereas someone with type 1 diabetes who doesn’t have that system working at peak performance, you would see rapid spikes in theirs. Uh Brandon, I use Boost Oxygen in the high mountains. It’s an amazing high altitude. Vingo used it. Uh, dude, I don’t know what boost oxygen is. What is that? Uh, Brandon legal though, but just oxygen 95%. So, like you’re actually like putting the mask on and using oxygen. Uh, the cyclist today maintain their traditional nutrition throughout the year. That’s right. It may not be as intense as before a tour race, but they measure out all of the food all the time. No cheat days. Yeah, it seems now like they don’t take any time off. Like I’m looking at the schedule, guys. It’s like they’re racing like till late October. Uh then a lot of guys will go do other stuff like cyclacross, mountain bike racing, and then the tour down under starts in January. It’s probably got to be I’m going to say it’s probably the toughest race, toughest sport out there, the most time spent on the road. Uh, and even the top guys, like I think what they say, Tatty makes 8 million euros a year. And yeah, I know he’s got contracts and stuff on top of that, but for being the very best in your sport uh with this kind of like public exposure, I think he’s underpaid. I really think he is. I heard uh way way back when when Greg Lamond was like the first guy to like fight for a contract. Uh, I think it was a three-year contract and over three years he made close to a million dollars, but that was in the 80s. So, like really good money. Like his first year he made like 210,000 uh US racing as like pretty much one of the best cyclists in the world. Uh, Don, I am not racing. I love donuts. Yeah, I’m bad for donuts. Pick up a six-ack of donuts and I’ll eat them all before I get home. Uh, Eric here, my old Chinelli. I like those. 1980s race bike came standard with 165 millimeter made pedaling through corners. My Yeah. Yeah. So, that’s so one thing, shorter cranks, you can go through the corners easier. You’re not going to like clip your pedal on the pavement. I like my long cranks to grind up mountains though. Smaller circles keep your RPMs higher. Okay. Uh, MG, greetings from Colombia. Colombia’s in the house, folks. Colombia is in the mix today. Let’s get it. Colombians, high altitude climbers. Uh, Robert, fighting the war against visceral fat from a lifetime of bad eating alcohol. The last 25. Oh, dude, it’s hard to lose weight now, isn’t it? It is hard to lose weight now. And guys, the coffee is still warm. Thank you for the donations. I now have a coffee warmer. Uh, actually, the the very bottom is quite hot. Okay, so let’s take a look here. See what’s going on. We’ve seen I’m watching a break develop now. uh 23 riders off the front. So, UAE decided, okay, let’s back off a little bit or the pace has been increased with the sprint point coming up. Uh EF riders there. Ben Healey’s in this very front group. We got a chasing group of six here. Arnold Dele, Gronovan, maybe they want to at least get involved in a sprint. Then we got the Pelon 135 riders and Gashinard just slipping out the back. Slipping out the back, folks. He might just withdraw today. Hopefully not. I’m hoping he doesn’t. So, here’s the situation on the road right now. This group’s been allowed to to go. I wonder if UAE saying enough controlling. Uh it’s not a huge gap, though. 13 seconds to those guys. This is just a bunch of riders smashing it at the front. Uh they’ve got a 13-second gap over a group of six. Those guys will all be trying to get to that front group. And they are only 10 seconds ahead of the Pelaton. So it’s about 25 to 30 seconds from the Ben Healey group. So who’s in? I wonder if Carlos Rodriguez got into this group. Ben Healey, Enrich Mass. Uh Carlos Rodriguez is not in this group because if you look at the top of this group here, you’ll see it shows the standings. the highest placed rider will always be at the very top. Ben Hilly’s 10th. Carlos Rodriguez for Anos is in ninth. And I think there’s going to be a battle between them all the way to uh uh Paris, but lots of riders want to get There’s Mike Woods. I said today might be a day that Mike Woods wants to do something. Velasco, Enkhorn, Mark Solair could be something. Henrik Mass, a climber. Might want to maybe uh take his chances today. Uh back in the chat. Uh so Fred’s saying, “So Lance won this climb maybe only once. Pontani I Dude, let me let me just check for you. Uh Lance won the tour of those years. I don’t know if Lance has ever won this climb.” So the years when they summit finished it this and I don’t know if this is the definitive uh source Lance never has never won climbing uh and finishing at the top of the uh Momo 2 and yeah no Blance has never won this one. This Marco Pontani in 1998 uh they Okay, hang on. Oh, Aeros Poly. Guys, if you want to see something really cool, I posted in my Discord. Aeros Paulie in 1994 went over the top first. He’s like the biggest guy in the Pelaton. He went like on a half hour attack and they let him go. Uh, and he hung on. Take a look on YouTube. I don’t want to give it all away to you. Um, yeah. So, in 2000, it was Marco Pontani here. Lance won the tour that year which was taken away. Okay. Uh see if this gonna stabilize. Now it’s 20 seconds to that group. The group’s grown a little bit bigger. It was 23. Now it’s 26 riders. Only a 20 second gap to the Pelaton. And I want to see if UAE sitting on the front. Let me see what I can see, guys. Uh this looks like the breakaway group. 20 seconds up the road. Lots of looking back here. I can see an Israel Premier Tech right on the front. call for disrupt. No, intermar rather. They’re all like looking back like are we are we getting a break? Are we getting are we going to get to go really forested area here? Let’s see where they are. Like yeah, it’s like just looks like just forced everywhere here that we’re riding through. So I’m looking at this group here right now. Uh they’re only showing one rider. That’s not correct. that front group again showing one rider. There should be 20. It said there was 26 riders there unless it’s all changed again. Yeah, I don’t think I’m getting all the gaps here properly. There was 26 riders in that group that had a 30 second lead. Now they’re saying there’s one. So just hang on with it here to catch up. Uh what are they doing here? So here’s Gashinard out the back again. They haven’t. Yeah, there’s still a gap. There’s still a gap. They’re just getting bad data here. I think one rider out front is saying let’s just let that figure out. I’ll do I’ll go back to the chat here, guys. Um Dawn looks like they are about 45k to the base of on two. Yeah. And we got that sprint point coming first. Climbing basically starts about 35k from the finish. I mean, look at this. It just looks like a wall. It really is. Now, I am watching uh Lewis Baret here. He is trying to go off the front on my replay. Uh he’s 98 eighth place overall and that group’s letting him go unless they totally there’s riders trying to get across to him. So I think there’s more riders up there. Here it is. Yeah, there’s three riders there. I can see two chasing. So I don’t know if that whole group went back and they just merged into the pelon. Uh Brett Van Moore and Elbare Lewis Baret. There it’s now saying we got three out front. with the Pelaton. I think there’s still people in between, though. I’m sure there’s people in between. Yeah. So, here’s the group that was packed with climbers. That was earlier. Um, that was 2 minutes ago. Ben Healey, Mass Woods, Van Wilder, Pavlov, Mark Solair. So, there was a 20 second gap. Unless it just disappeared. Uh, there might be more riders in between here. And again, finally, we’re getting the data here, guys. Now, it’s saying we’re back to a group of 34. So, yeah, there’s 34 riders in this break. They’re going to go for it. Probably attacking right now because, as you can see on the profile, there’s a little bit of a climb here. They’re hoping to get over the top and get away. 26° C. Uh, okay. Brandon, it is a canister of oxygen in a can. You can Okay. I didn’t know you can actually purchase that. So, it’s meant to be used like at high altitude. Just take a quick blast off it and like portable tutor rider trying to go out the front here too. Going to guess this is store. Let’s just see what happens here. Uh, waffle stomp. You might see a very small immediate spike, but regulation immediately. Okay. Uh, T1Ds, I don’t know what that means, are limited by the speed of insulin. The fastest insulins are about 15 minutes to onset, 35 minutes to peak action. Okay, so obviously Waffle Stomp does all this stuff. Uh, Waffle Stomp, what’s your background? Are you like into triathlons or is it just cycling? Uh, love to know more, dude. Appreciate your info. Uh, guys, if you can like the videos, how would everyone like the video just for Waffle Stomps info there? I like that. Got uh about 250 people watching now. And we’re seeing the giant of in the background. It’s kind of funny how they logged the very top. So, they basically clearcut the top. Maybe that’s where the best trees were. I’m like, why wouldn’t you start at the bottom? Because there’s trees on the bottom. Uh, there have been reforestation efforts on it. Why would you go to the top? Uh, Becky, she got another question here. Has the physique of riders changed in the last 50 years? Absolutely. Absolutely, Becky. Looking back at old black and white footage, the winners don’t look that skinny and small. Yeah. Small and skinny. Yeah. No, they’re totally different. Uh they were bigger riders, probably carried a bit more fat percentage on their bodies. Now they’re so lean. Uh it’s insane. Huge difference. Robertson, I want to ride with Brandon. He brings the good drugs. Yeah. 95% O2. Uh waffles. So whereas someone with T1D can Oh, type 1 diabetes. Sorry, dude. I’m understanding. can perfectly manage naturally through the body. A type 1D has to either predict or react with calculations. Hence why CGM is invaluable to them. Okay, I gotcha. So basically, continuous glucose monitor is critical for someone with type 1 diabetes as an athlete. Is that what you’re saying? Whereas someone like myself, uh, non-diabetic, it’s kind of just a waste of time. Uh Brandon saying oh lots invas uh you squeeze lever it blows out pure auction. Okay. The fluctuations of a non T1D are so small they would barely register. And then that question is how would you use that data? The body will do the same thing. Okay, I got you. It’s making sense. Robert, good uh info. Wafflo, thank you. Wafflo, let us know where you’re from, dude. Fasting must matter. Okay, that’s a good question, Robert. Uh, Brandon, donuts are my favorite. One, of course, limit. Not for me. Uh, I ate part of a doughnut before. The energy is real. Yeah, it is real. Oh, yeah. I pick up a six-pack. They’re they’re showing when you say running, they’re showing Chris Fume running up the MON 2 in 2016. What a crazy situation that was. He’s running, he’s stopping, he’s looking. There’s no way for the car to get to him, guys. Who watched that? That was absolutely insane. Insane. Oh, then he Yeah, that’s right. I think he took a a neutral service bike from Mavic back then. It was Mavic doing neutral service. Uh they gave him a bike. It was too small, so he could ride a little bit. Then he gets back on his bike and starts pedaling at about 180 RPM in that very weird Chris Froom. Elbows out style with his headcocked to the side like that. Always looking at his power meter. Uh fasting will matter if it’s an endurance, right? You may actually see blood glucose levels spike during intense exercise like lifting weights due to Oh, as your glycogen’s coming out of the muscles, blood sugars can spike. Okay. Uh, check this dude out here. Uh, I’m just going to call him Rowey. Roy. Yeah, Rorowey. Uh, hello from Israel, dude. Welcome aboard. I don’t think we’ve had anyone from Israel yet. Todd’s back. Costa Rica mountain biking. Yeah, buddy. I can take down six crispy creams in no time. Oh, me too, man. I just like uh went to town yesterday. I need a cat litter for the kitties cuz we have these three little kittens. And uh it was at like a dollar store, cheapo store. bought up a pack of cookies. Peanut butter cookies. You know, they got like the map they’re a cookie. They’re peanut butter and they got like a like a maple leaf on them. I don’t know if they only sell them here. I ate twothirds of the box before I got home and the shame kicked in. I left the box in the car. I don’t I don’t even want to bring them in the house. Uh, okay. And germs will have the worst the reverse effect, albeit a normal person will manage as well as long as there’s a baseline of carbs. Okay. So, uh, Waffle Stomp is highly educated on this stuff, guys. One of the reasons people get hungry when someone mentions food or we think of food is because the body primes itself by starting to release insulin. So, if someone talks about food, like Pavlov’s dog reaction, uh, doesn’t happen if you’ve got type 1 diabetes. Oh, that’s right. Team Novo Nordisk. That’s right. Now, think about those total legends in team Nova Nordisk, the pro cycling team who all have type 1 diabetes. Dude, I didn’t know that. I knew that’s what they uh the team was uh named after. I didn’t know they all raced with type 1 diabetes. Yeah, that’s right. Ivard saying he gifted the win to Pontani. Pontani was pissed. Yeah, but dude, it was common in the past. And guys, this is how it used to be. Um, basically if you were the overall GC rider and someone helps you increase your lead, you would let them win that stage. I think in that case, Lance just said, “I gave him the win just to tick him off.” And he did tick him off. Uh, but that was the tradition back then. It was like, “Oh, you’re going to help me increase my lead over the other guys, dude. You’re going to help me work, then you can have the stage win.” They don’t do that anymore. They do not do that anymore. It’s like those rule. Certain of the old traditions have been thrown out. Uh so we’re at a weird time. I’m watching two Alpison riders here. Let me get caught up, guys. I’m I’ve been in the chat a lot. 34 riders in the front group. Lot of big names there. Uh 10th place is the best place rider, Ben Healey. Aaron’s men for Anos. This guy’s really good. I like this guy a lot. Enrich Mass can climb. Uh then we’ve got a chasing group of two riders. Here’s the Albison boys right here. Rickert who went on the huge breakaway of Machu Vanderpool. Oh, what was that? Stage six or seven or something. Uh with Ver String uh Green Jersey Group. Oo, look at this guys. This is fun. Benium Germay and Jonathan Milan are riding together in their own little group. Uh so they’re probably frantically trying to get to the green jersey points before they all get stormed away. There’s only 15 uh places down to uh 15th place here. So by the time they get there, they’ll all be gone. So they’re chasing probably for no reason. Uh then the Pelaton is 222 behind. Yonas is there. Lipoitz, Pogy, they’re all going to stick together. Uh will we see a breakaway go today, guys? They’ll all be absorbed on the climb. That’s my guess. Uh, Robert, I try to stay in ketosis. Changes the hunger situ equation for sure. Don, they all get caught. Yeah, I think so too, Don. They all got caught. I think there may be some points at the base uh of the M too. Lance pulled back at the line and let Pontani cross first. It was a gesture of brotherhood, but ultimately contour. That’s what I think too, Jeff. That was what you did back then. Uh I just heard about it in uh I think it was Schleidor like basically and he let him win because he helped him increase his lead. That was the way it was done back then. Now I’m just going to bring this up because a few days ago we saw Pogy race for 4 seconds over Yonas even though Yonas and Yonas helped him work up that mountain together. Now people are going to say well Pogy doesn’t need his help. Well in the past there was riders that didn’t need help either. But if there was a dude there working with them the entire way, working together, I like to call them frenemies. They’re friends for a while. It was tradition. Okay, guys, there’s your instead of the the odds on favorite to win everything. You let other riders have a win so they can walk away from the tour with something. Uh, riding on the front right now, guys, I can see UAE and Vizma side by side. So yeah, it was very controversial because Lance probably didn’t even he didn’t need to say, “Oh, I gifted it to him.” Uh, that just set Pontani off. That was what you should have done, Lance. You should have done that. Uh, when the guy helped you all day. Uh, anyone else think anything different about that? Uh, Andrew Moss, it would be nice to see Woodsy have a great stage. Yeah. Uh Woodsy, he was trying to go earlier. Let’s see. I’m not even sure if he’s in this group. Uh we got Camparts up there. We’ve got Bonoot up there. Here’s Mike Woods. Mike Woods is in this group of 34 riders on the front. So Woodsy is a Mark Solair’s there. Anorn’s there. Velasco Alfalipe Parch Lechnes for Unoex Civic. Tomcoins, Mark Hershey, uh is Hershey and uh Mark O’Haler who were on the early break today. Funny here now I’m just seeing the Pelaton catching up with the uh with Bingham Germay and Jonathan Milan who were in a twoman breakaway trying to bring back about 40 riders who are going to steal all the sprint points. Jonathan Milan just waves the Pelaton through. I think they’ve realized what are we doing this for? We have no chance of getting points unless we hang out with the Pelaton. Uh Neil Polllet on the front grimacing as usual. He’s got a really high cadence this guy. I I would, you know, just in my head I think bigger guy, slower cadence, but no, he is hammering away. Uh that’s where the nickname Elephantino came from. That’s right. His ear stuck out. And I guess that’s something that always bothered him his entire life. So, Lance knew how to get out of them. Okay. Uh, ketosis is just another way to describe a carb or really calorific deficit. Bang. Bang. Nailed it. It will mean, however, you’re less efficient in zone 3 plus where carbs, generally glucose, is the main fuel source. Okay. Uh oh, I just saw a new guy here. Paul Salon or Pogy. Let me go. Yep, they’re riding side by side, dude. They’re right together. There’s a couple of Vizma guys up the road. Bonoot and Camponarts are up the road in a 35 rider breakaway. There’s a couple of riders hanging in between. Uh Estrenji and Rickert. So, the two Alison riders are up the road trying to bridge on to a big group. Trying to think of what the strategy is here for them. I don’t know, maybe trying to get up the road for Kaden Groves. Uh I think Kaden’s pretty far down in the green jersey standings though. Uh then we got the Pelaton at 246 behind the breakaway. Gashinard just slipping even more. Uh he’s now seven minutes behind. So I hate to say guys and I hate to jinx him, but I think he’ll be pulling out unless he can just survive through this. Who knows what’s bothering him. Uh ESG Legacy, dude, welcome aboard. You’re brand new. You are brand new, everyone. Welcome, ESG Legacy. You think Pogy will win the tour? Uh 99.9% chance he’ll win the tour today. He could win. Uh I think maybe I’d like to see him be the uh the real GC leader, the real yellow jersey leader, and allow or help one of his teammates to win. Guys used to do it in the past. uh for all the work that their teammates are doing. You got you got to help them out a little bit. If if they’re capable, if they’re capable, if they can’t win, there’s no point giving the stage to another team. Then you go for the win. I’d love to see that, Brandon. The great thing about them longing the trees at the top is that there’s a view for the CL. That’s right. Uh Robert, nobody liked that Pantani win. Not Marco, not Lance. Even Pogy referenced it this year. Yeah, that’s true. Uh, we got Oliver Marachic. I think he’s been here before. Dude’s in the mix here. Fred Rice, uh, CGM for advice is the best for testing to see how individual foods affect your particular glucose system. Helps to fine-tune diet and avoid getting diabetes. Jeff Le’s here. Froom was an unlikely champion. That was back when the doping was so good that your legs turned into a dishwasher and your head just fell off at an ankle. Oh, dude. Hilarious. Hilarious. Actually, uh something that just popped up yesterday. I know someone popped in and talked about uh all the runners out of Treya and Kenya. And I was talking about it. That’s their sport. Dopen is rampant with those guys. Rampant. Uh and I don’t mean just those guys. I mean, I think at the highest levels of levels of running, it’s pretty bad, too, right now. So, what the thing now is they’re using uh I guess they’re using drugs. This is how I figured it out. They’re using drugs that are meant for something else that they would normally never take, but they’re really really good uh diuretics or would it be an antid-iuretic? So basically all the stuff that you’re trying to not pass into your urine sample sticks in your body and they never see it. Uh so it’s being masked. But what the uh anti-doping guys are finding out is why are you taking that when you don’t need it? It happened to a cyclist way back when way back when probably late before 2010. There was a cyclist. They were like this is a drug that as a healthy normal young individual you would never take this drug. it has an incredible side effect of masking other stuff. So that’s kind of what I think is lurking. So there’s been some incredible breakthroughs in marathoning times. So they’re masking it. It just came out. It just came out in uh on YouTube a couple days ago. Uh okay, Waffles, great for having you. Uh anyway, have to bail. Happy to talk anytime. Hit me up on Discord. Aussie, but based in Switzerland. Loving the stream, dude. Thanks so much. Thanks for being here. Uh Fred Weiss saying, “So no lance moment today between the two leaders.” Grin. Well, yeah. Like I mean if if let’s say it becomes two riders at the finish. I’m just keeping an eye on the front here guys. We got 35 riders in the front group. Uh they’ve got a 39 second lead over two riders the opposite to coin riders. Uh jumping back 2 minutes and 15 seconds. So guys, they they’ve let this go now. Uh we’ve got the Pelaton and then Gashinard riding solo 4 minutes and 39 seconds behind the Pelon. So he’s really struggling back there. Mvon 2, guys. This is where we head through all the uh the lavender fields. The fields are all purple. U I do want to jump down a bit here. Yeah, Plet is doing a lot of work still, but we got 36 riders in that group up front. We’ve climbed 848 m. Uh, still 2100 meters of climb to go. 1,500 meters of that alone will be on the MVON, too. So, it’s basically 20 km at 7 and a half%. There’s your 1500 m. Um, yeah. Imagine if Yonas and Tatty go up there and they ride together and then Tatty says, “Here, take the win.” And then afterwards he says, “Yeah, but I gifted it to him.” Well, yeah. No wonder everyone was ticked off about it. You just don’t say that. But Lance would say that. Uh oh, Arvar is saying, “I don’t think Lance said anything until Marco showed him he was pissed.” Okay, I You know what? I’m going to go back and watch that. Lance’s gift was unexpected. Like, they hadn’t talked about it before. No negotiation would have been different if they had settled who would win early on the climb. Yeah. A lot of times, guys, if you don’t know, if you don’t follow a lot of cycling, they’ll talk about it like, “Dude, help me get there.” and and you could have a stage win. You can see that happening in races. Uh Troy Silver Fox, did the Yates brothers decide? Troy, which uh Troy, first off, thanks for being here. Thanks for joining up with us. Did the Yates brother decide? Uh are you talking about a particular stage? So, we got Simon Yates and Adam Yates here, guys. Uh where are they today? I think they’re both in the Pelaton right now. Let’s have a quick look. So, I think they’re both in the 20th position. So, we’re going to find them right away here. Okay, there’s Seep Cous at 17th, Carlos Rodriguez. Oh, that’s Christian Rodriguez at at 18th place. There’s Simon Yates in 23rd. And Adam Yates, actually, he lost a lot of time at the beginning. He’s in 28th. So, they are pretty close together. They’re in the Pelon. Uh, okay. Becky saying, “Interesting TV piece last uh maybe last night. Total Energies Edinburghough has a no advertisement policy for big oil companies. So, Total Energies would have to hide their sponsorship. Wow. Interesting for you. For you US guys. Okay. So, Scotland won’t allow big oil companies to advertise. Okay. That’s sure. Weird. Becky saying, “I mean, interesting because you wouldn’t have seen it that.” Yeah, we wouldn’t have seen it. That’s right. Because we’re seeing the sponsorship here. Okay. Thanks, Becky. Uh, Brandon, if I sat on possibly strong crime all the way up a climb and he let me I’d probably let him take the sprint or I’d feel bad. Yeah, if you sat on, but generally when this happened in the past and I and I just listened to that was the tradition. If another rider helps you get up there and it helps your position and you are the uh the yellow jersey, the leader of the GC, the patron, the patron of the the Pelaton, you you give him the win. Whether or not you could outspread him or not, you would just say, “Yeah, it’s your win, dude, because let’s let’s share the wealth, spread the love around.” Uh, one guy winning everything every year. People, it gets it gets old. Uh, teams are all here to compete for sponsorship, for TV time. Uh, ooh, looking at this here, I’m not This is the Pelaton. I’m seeing a bunch of Total Energy guys here on the front. Like the entire team is there. Uh, looks like I think that’s still Neil’s pallet on the front. Then all all total energies. So, what are they setting up here, guys? What are they setting up? Why is Total Energy’s got the entire team there? Uh, I’m just going to see what team radio is saying here. Yeah. So, we already got the breakaway. We know about that. Pa pulls the bunch. They’re not talking about total energies yet here. I’m looking at it. So, pallet on the front. Three, four, five, six, seven. There’s seven total energy riders right behind them. Oh, guys, I can’t believe this coffee is warmer than when I come down. came down here. Thank you so much for the gift everyone and Joey Jojo. Uh Brendon, sometimes Pogy could probably pull more more with you. Vingo makes you wonder if he’s hurting a lot more than we think. Yeah, you know, when he’s riding with Vingo, they’re both encouraging each other. Like Pogy doesn’t want to let him get away, but overall he’s helping him increase his overall lead over everyone else. That’s why as the leader you would kind of like magically just drift back a little bit to let that rider take the win. Okay guys, uh Robert seems the biological passport should make a big difference with that baseline. Must be hard to use something that doesn’t show up somehow in modern tests. Uh Robert, dang, those Red Bull blue shorts look sharp. Yeah, I love the uh I love the the jerseys with the pin striping and just watching Alpison Ryder grab a drink. Oh, caught it, dropped it, had it pinned against his hip and he managed to get it. They love showing this stuff. Um picking up the Museettes, the feed bags. This is where Ryers wipe out. There’s got to be a better way to do this. Yeah. Insane. Uh, Scotty Mack live from Denver. Live from Denver. Uh, let me just smack the June here. Athletes, writers should be honest to themselves. Being gifted with talent, strength, physique, etc. should compete honestly. Uh, Scotty Mack. Hey Scotty, how’s it going? Just watched some Denver videos of our Metallica concert a couple nights ago. I think we were watching the uh the Limp Biscuit stuff though. Uh, hey Colin. Great stream buddy. Thanks, dude. Appreciate all your support, man. Kim Lasell. Kim looks like a new commenter here. So anyway, Kim Lasell is saying Pogy will win all but the young jersey because he can’t. Uh he’s too old for the young jersey. Now, this is due to the other teams not working together. Milan can’t win green due to too many uphills for him. That’s right. The scoring system. Okay, so Kim saying the scoring system makes for boring racing. Yeah, I wouldn’t have Oh, hang on. I’m just going to back up a second here, guys, because I see race radio here. Okay, I’m trying to catch this. Who is it from? This race radio is from Just Give me a second. So, yeah, Total Energies sitting on the front with one UAE rider pulling team radio barring victorious. See what they got to say. Remember after the sprint that we go to an open area and that the wind will pick up. So we have to make sure that we are in good position there for the moment. So they’re worried about the winds after the sprint point. Remember to eat and drink. Eat and drink. Okay, good to know. So I think Totel Energies is getting to the front right now. Uh worried about the sprint point coming up and the winds that are going to follow after it. Sprint point is coming soon. Sprint point is at I thought it would show here after the sprint point there’s still 60k to go but yeah so one rot UAE I’m looking for the big white teeth Neil’s pal it’s on the front and then it’s a string uh actually is that to actually it’s red bull on the front guys total mistake by me the entire red bull team is on the front I just saw the jersey from a distance. And now that we’re in closer, Jonathan Milan back at his car getting a really nice sticky bottle here. Oh, that might have been a real cheeky sticky bottle. I’m going to I guys, I got to replay this for you. He grabs from the DS and whatever he had in his hand, he threw it right back at the guy. Like, come on, dude. Yeah, busted. Absolutely busted there. He gave him something in his hand, did the sticky, then threw that exact same thing back at him. And he now he’s getting another sticky pull. Now he puts it in his back pocket. So two stickies to get one thing in his back pocket. Shady. And grabs another one. Takes it quickly. Okay, so that last one he did good. So guys, we have 35 riders up front. Still have our two opposent guys chasing. We have the Pelaton being driven by one UAE rider and the entire Red Bull team which I thought was Total Energies just from a distance. Uh it kind of looks the same the colors on the jersey and uh Jonathan Milan really struggling now I think folks. So he’s back behind the medical car. He’s back to his team car again. Hm. Jonathan Milan really struggling back there. Uh yeah, Kim, good comments. Will he’s back. Hope Healey wins takes the win today. Uh if he can get away and stay away on the climb, I think the the Poggy train will be coming through later and the other climbers. Uh Kim saying Vizma waste their energy again and not for their number one. They’re I think they’re doing a good job today. Uh, it’s been mostly UAE working and now Red Bull, this is the most work I’ve seen them do this entire tour. So, they’re probably trying to solidify uh, Lipoitz’s position in third, like podium for that dude. And I think they want to move Primos up even. Uh, Don saying, “Sorry, Healey can’t climb like the real climbers,” I think is what he’s saying there. June Pogy has one carrier from the rest. Pogy has a big heart. Yeah, definitely number one rider in the world right now. White Fun Art was for me the best Fontu winner. Yeah, dude. That was 2021. That’s from Tony Cabaradu. Uh when Vout went over the top in 2021 and then descended into Molysine. I don’t think anyone saw that coming. I didn’t. Uh Don saying, “Oh, I didn’t know this. Don saying this will be the second time Pogy takes three jerseys at this tour. Uh, last time was white, yellow, and polka dots, but it’s time to It is exciting to see him take the yellow, green, and polka dots. First time since 69. I was going to say just there, Don. I was thinking about that last night. I’m sure Eddie Morris has won three jerseys at once. Uh, and 69 sounds like right around Eddie’s first. Would that be his first or second tour to France? Robert, that is crazy dominance. Uh, but again, I think Yeah. So yeah, Don’s saying it right here. Someone did it in ‘ 69. So 56 years ago, guys, someone had already done this. Uh, and you guys know, but I think a lot of the younger people watching aren’t aware of these old older oldtime greats. Uh, yeah, they didn’t have all the tech. Yeah, they didn’t this, but that probably made it harder. They didn’t have the nutrition figured out. They were probably finishing a a stage and then having beers afterwards. They didn’t have nutrition figured out. They didn’t have uh glucose monitoring. They didn’t have lactate testing. They didn’t have wind tunnels. Uh they rode the same mountains though on worse conditions on worse bikes. Uh if anything, these mountains are probably easier to climb now than they were back then. What do you guys think? Ian Holmes is here. Uh Ian is saying, “Hey buddy, keep it up. Climbs are epic.” Hey Ian, dude, what time is it where you are right now? I’m trying to figure out your time zone. Are you tomorrow? Like I have no idea. So Ian’s in the Philippines. Is it tomorrow in the Philippines or is it very very late tonight because me and Ian are trying to uh set up a group ride between me and him on a meetup on Zift and I’m like, how are we going to do this? We got to get this figured out. Ian, uh Cole’s back. Hoping for a real battle on the climb today. Yeah, me too. I think it’ll be a good battle, but I don’t think anything will be decided. Oh, I’m going to look at the poll. Uh let’s see what you guys said in the poll. Uh so I asked when will the tour be decided on the slopes of the vontto 20%. I was kind of expecting a lower number stages in 18/19 mountain. So the stages stage 18 and 19 coming up on Thursday and Friday are the two single hardest days at this tour to France backto back. Uh I think the one day is like 120 km. It’s got three HC climbs in one day and they both it’s climbing immediately. You don’t get to warm up. You have to go hard immediately. And then the last one, you can hear it in my voice. Dude, Pogy has already won. 54% of you think Pogy’s already won. Uh, for me, it’ll be decided Friday. Then I’ll know for sure. I think anything can still happen. JWTW 2021, watching from Texas. Thank you for all your great streams. Still hoping Yonas V can have a comeback. Dude, perfect timing on your comment there. I’m thinking that’s when something can happen. Thursday, Friday. It just takes one little crack. Uh, and I’m looking here. Okay. Uh, it just takes one little crack from Tatty. Maybe his sickness gets worse. Maybe his team falls apart. Maybe Vizma can finally piece it all together and crack him. They got to hope for him to crack, though. I don’t think they can actually beat him when he’s in his best. Uh, but it just takes one bad day. One bad day. Uh, one bad day on those climbs. You could lose 5 minutes on any one of those climbs. Um, so yeah, great comment there from JWTW2021 from Texas. Dude, where you at in Texas? Uh, Evard Eddie68, Bernardino was the last to have the yellow, green, and polka dot. Oh, I should have thought of that name, too. Okay. Uh, Ian Holmes 2042 at night. So, it’s 8:42 at night. So, you are Wow. You’re 14 hours ahead of me, dude. So, we got to figure out a ride. I think Ian, when we ride, it’s going to have to be a weekend. Uh, I’m going to have to ride early in the morning, like early, and you’re going to have to ride uh early evening. So, if I ride at 6:00 a.m., you’ll be riding at 8, I think. 8:00 p.m. We’ll we can figure that out. Yeah, Freddy, you’re 14 hours ahead of you uh from Mountain to Manila. Okay. So, we’ll figure that out. It all depends how late you can ride or how early I can ride. Uh looks like the front’s breaking apart a bit. We got Aaron. We know Aaronman went on a huge break a few days ago and one up uh Super Banyanet. So he’s on the move again. And Rick Mass is there. Anorn Velasco Julian Ala Phipe Yonas Abramson. Uh this dude here one stage 11. Uh saw a little thing about this guy a few days ago too. It was less they said just a few weeks ago he broke his collarbone. Uh I don’t know the exact date, but just a few weeks ago he broke his collarbone and the first day after the rest day he wins a stage probably by about a quarter of a second. So awesome. So they got a stage win and they have a guy that’s eighth place overall. Uh Fred Wright there for team Bahrain and Matteo Trenton for Tudor. So two two door riders in this front group. Now, must be just a little bit of a break cuz the group was huge. Although, it is 13 seconds they’re showing here. Uh, this is the majority of the group here. I thought they would have all stayed together. Got riders in between. These are the Albus and Donic riders. They’ve been together all day just riding here. I’m not really sure what this is going on for. Like, why are these two riders just sitting out there by themselves? From the very very front to the Pelon, it’s almost 4 minutes. 127 riders. Let’s see where Gashinard is. Gashinard is now 6 minutes behind the Pelaton. So, he’s probably just trying to battle through whatever he’s going through. Looking at the overhead here, I can see the difference here. UAE’s on the front, one rider, the entire Red Bull team, Tim Wellins, Pogy, uh, and then the rest of the UA team is behind him. So, Red Bull, Bora Hansor on the front, Van Dyke, Van Pppppel, Velasoff, Py, Mosone, uh, Jordi, Muse, and Lipawitz and Raglitch. So, they are on a mission today, guys. They’ve obviously set this up. Planning something here. Sprint points coming right away. Greg, uh, oh, sorry, Oregon Bond. organ bond. Is today’s stage tougher than stage 18, which was considered the queen stage in the previous draw? Uh, no. Today is not tougher than that. Uh, what we can do here quickly, guys, is let me do this cuz I’m the the hardest stuff is still coming. We haven’t had the hardest stuff in the tour. I mean, the last mountain stage we did, uh, Super Ban years was very, very hard. I think I said it might have been the toughest day, but take a look. This was stage 14. Uh, and you can kind of rank it right away. Two HC’s, a one and a two. Okay, pretty hard. Then we’re going to go to this guy right here. This is Thursday. It’s I think it’s 600 meters more climbing. Cortchal called Deal Loz. Uh, take a look at this baby right here. It’s climbing from the very start. The sprint points early. So, it’s going to be going nuts for the sprint teams. the the pace is going to be incredibly hard. They won’t be able to like just basically warm up into the stage where the climbing starts. Uh these HC’s are harder than the other HC’s. I was joking about making a new category and HC plus three HC’s are 21.7 km at 5%, 19.2 at almost 8% and then the final climb is 26.4 at 6.5%. This is probably the queen stage right here. Uh if we go back the next day though, this is Friday. This is the short stage. 1,000 meters less climbing, but it’s only 130 km in length. So it’s all been smashed down to a little tiny space. Uh let’s look at this one. Category 2. Category 1 HC. Category 2 finish on an HC upla. Uh this is a good one. 20 km at 7.2. Uh that’s really getting along. Uh, the Call to Prey, not so tough as the last one. 12.6 is 7.7. So, I do want to just jump back here for a second. Uh, we’ll go back to 14 again. Let’s have one more look at it. It is right here. Super Baners. So, if you look at the HC climb here, 12.4 km at 7. It’s not as hard as as uh Thursday called the terminal. I would say is hard. That’s 19 km at 7.4. There’s a big difference between that and 12 at 7.3. It’s 7 km longer. Um, yeah. So, good question. Uh, from Oregon Bond. Is today’s stage tougher than stage 18, which was considered the queen of the stages? Stage 18 is way harder than this. This one’s one climb. Uh, it’s a tough one. It’s it is a good HC, but I think uh Thursday’s climb have three versions of the Mambon 2 in one. Uh they’re all like those 20 km, 6 7%. We got one of those today. Uh and I did see riders yesterday saying, “Okay, yeah, it’s the MON 2, but it’s only one climb. Uh I’m not worried about it.” Were some of the comments there. And that was Marco Holler for Tudor. He says, “I’m more worried about later in the week.” Okay, so what’s going on here? We’re looking at now two doors doing a lot of work at the front. Where is Red Bull? Ah, guys, they’re now showing a map with the winds. The winds are blowing at 24 km an hour. That’s perfect for echelons to form. So, let’s take a look here. See what’s going on. Uh, seven riders on the front. Aaron, this guy’s This guy knows he can do it. He’s done it once this tour. He’s won a stage already up an HC climb up to Super Banar Ski Station. Uh then we’ve got the Healy Group. 30 riders here. From the Healy Group, it’s four minutes back to the Pelon of the Top Guns. They’re all here. Uh the only rider that’s not here of the top 10 looks like Ben Healey. That’s the only one I’m thinking is not here. Uh we’ve got uh who’s missing it? 1 2 3 4 5 six. Yeah, they’re all here outside of Ben Healey. Nine of the top 10 riders are in this group. And gashion art still drip drifting backwards. 6 minutes 15 seconds back now. And the coffee is still hot. Might be getting hotter by the second. In fact, I can probably turn the Oh, you can turn it down. I didn’t know that it actually has different temperature settings, guys. Uh, okay. Catching up. Uh, Ian saying we’ll meet up on a a weekend. So, guys, just so you don’t know, myself and Ian Holmes here in the mix. Uh we’re going to meet up and have a Zift ride inside together virtually riding together. Uh doing something on Zift Evard, we cyclists are massochists. Yes, we are. We love pain and we seek it out. Tougher than most other sports combined for our pain tolerance. Yeah. Uh being a cyclist, I always tell people you have to get comfortable being very uncomfortable pushing right to that limit and just staying there as long as you can. Uh and there’s other sports, I mean triathlons like that, too. Uh there’s probably a lot of endurance sports where you just get right to the limit and you got to learn how to stay there. So I am watching this group of seven up front uh four. Yeah, looks like seven riders up front. Best place rider here would be Aaron who had a fantastic win. Uh that was the day that Tatty and Yonas rode up together. Tatty out sprinted him at the very end uh for 4 seconds. Uh Tatty even said he goes, “I didn’t have anything left to counterattack that dude up the road.” That’s why you saw Pogy afterwards congratulating him so much. Uh, and that’s one thing I will say about uh, Pogy is that he’s really good about that. Uh, he probably know in the world he lives in, he probably hears all the comments. Oh, he wins too much. He wins everything. Oh, okay. They’re showing the sprint now. So, this is the sprint. It’s They’ve actually gone through it for the seven riders. Uno X rider sprinting against looks like an Aana rider here. The other five didn’t even bother. So, the UNOX rider will pick up the points. Let’s see who that is if they’re going to show it to us. Abrahamson. So, that’s Yonis Abrahamson. That’s the guy that broke his collarbone just a few weeks back. It was Velasco. Uh see if we can see those points here. Here we go. Here’s your one little picture you get to see, guys. Uh Abrahamson, Velasco, Trenton, Arenssman, and Rick Mass. Those five positions there. And then the rest of the sprint points come through. This is why Jonathan Milan and Binyam Germay just after a while just drifted back to the Pelaton. Milan was actually calling the Pelaton up like get ahead of me. I don’t want to work anymore. Um, okay. Got 300 people here watching now. Guys, smash the like button if you can. Hit the bell thing. Subscribe. Uh, I think as of this morning I was 52 53 subscriptions away from hitting 30,000. Just a little bit of a milestone. Trying to figure out what I can do for that. People like, “What are you going to do?” I’m like, “I don’t know. I don’t know. What do you want me to do?” Uh, yeah. Ian, it would be really cool if he could. I would love to see Big G, that’s Grant Thomas, win a stage as it is his last year in the tour to France. Yeah, let’s take a look at him right now. Going to do that, guys. Let’s have a little team preview here. uh Inas Grenaders and see where he is. So here’s Grant Thomas, oldtimer now. He’s currently 47th overall at the tour. So still well placed. Uh nowhere where he was before. Uh I think he’s 39. Yeah, he’s 39 years old. Uh done a lot of racing. The team’s not the same as it used to be either. So, what I want to do here is look, take a look at Erinman, though. Uh, Erin Smith is 13 years younger than uh Grant Thomas, 16th overall, and just been slowly working his way up. Wow, I didn’t know this. I forgot about the stage. Uh, stage 10. What was stage 10? Oh, that. Hang on a second. Stage 14 was Oh, I’ve completely lost my mind here. What was stage 10, guys? I got to look at this. Uh, route Station. Was that Super Baners? I think it was. Oh, no. It was this one. Puans. Okay. So, stage 10. He got second place on Super Baners. He got first place. Uh, so he’s going to fly up the rankings. Stage 15 into carcass on sprint finish. You know, rolling really fast into the finish. Winds are 25 km an hour right now, guys. Uh I’m going to try to get the graphics up here and see if I can see where it’s coming from. And once we start the climb, I’m going to slip into a little bit of bike terra action so we can see what’s going on there. Oh yeah, hair is crazy right now. Hair is crazy. Get this lighting down a bit, I think, too. Um, no, we don’t want to do that. Okay, so we’re going back here. Seven riders still out front. Aaronman, Mass, Velasco, Alfa, Philippe, Abrahamson, Fred Wright, and Matteo Trenton. They’ve got a 32 second gap over 30 riders that are chasing. I’m sure they’re going to try to get back on. Camparts had a really good finish yesterday, too. He basically just time trial away from everyone. Uh yeah, Quinn Simmons wasn’t happy about the finish with Tim Wellins, but stuff happens. Uh 4 minutes 21 seconds back to the main Pelaton. And you know, if you look at the map here, it’s not very long until we start climbing. Uh I’m thinking, you know, we’re going to slowly start working our way up. Maybe right around here. The climb starts where Bedawin is. So, if we look at the map once we get to Bedawin here, uh, where’s Bedawin? Going to find it right now. Here’s Bedawin. Just down the road. The climb essentially starts right here. It’s 21 km up. 20.9 I believe it is. Uh, to the top. So, here’s their locations. Here’s poor Gashinard riding by himself. Ooh. Uh, yeah. I was trying to show you how close the broom wagon is to him. So, that broom wagon powered by Vel. What does Velx do? Uh, here’s Gashinard. He’s been struggling back there all day. Currently, he is 12 minutes and 30 seconds behind the leaders. He’s 7 minutes behind the Pelaton. I have no idea what the time cut off is today, but if he survives, he’ll be struggling to make it, I think. Um, okay, more comments coming in. Tony, I think anything under eight minutes for the break, Pogy will win, but he doesn’t need to win. Just be ahead of the GC and top 10. Exactly. Uh if they can get it a little bit bigger, they’re out to 510 now. So, this is from the front group to the Pelaton. They know they need a massive lead before they get to the top. Here’s one you guys should know. If go back uh 1994 Aeros Pauli tour to France this stage I think he was 6’4 6’5 weighed over 200 lb he went on a huge breakaway and they let him at the base of the vonou he had a 27minute lead at the top he’d lost it all but three minutes to Marco Pontani uh he did get over the top first so he lost 24 minutes against one of the best climbers up the same climb. So yeah, uh these guys need a big gap to stay away from Pogy if Pogy goes full assault. Uh okay, Marcella. Marcella looks like a new name here to me. 308 people watching. Thank you so much, guys. Let’s grow this every day. Uh Thursday and Friday, you need to book those days off. You need to book those days off from work. um and sit here and watch the tour cuz those are going to be banger days at the tour. Uh those are the days that I guarantee you if you think Pogy’s not worried about them, you’re wrong. Uh he said in lots of things, he goes, “Yon can still win the tour. Jonas can still win the tour. I have to do everything I can to watch what he does. Uh, it just takes one break on any of those three HC climbs and it could be 10 minutes. Okay. Uh, anyway, Marcel is saying I think Aeron will take the win today. I would like to see him do it again. I’d love to see him move up even more for Inos. Uh, he’s proven he can do it. He’s got a first and second place finish this year at the Tour to France. So, uh, that guy may be the guy for the future. I’d have to look back. You know, that’s a good idea. Thank you for uh saying that about Aaron here. Makes me think back. Okay, his time triing stage five was the time trial. He finished 32nd. That’s pretty good. Like when I first saw that there, I thought it was 83rd. That was his yellow jersey placing, but 32nd on that time trial is pretty decent. Like that’s in the better guys. Uh, and then to get a second place and a first place, win a stage at the Tour to France. Team leader, future team leader right here. I know Vakalon’s heading over there. So, uh, yeah, that could be interesting. They can work together. So, seven riders up front still. Ben Healey Group still chasing uh minute gap in between. And it is currently 5 minutes and 20 seconds. So, I think Avard was saying he’d like to see a gap of 8 minutes. Yeah, under eight minutes. Oh, sorry, that was Tony. Tony says, “I think anything under eight minutes for the break, Pogy will win.” Yeah. So, if they can be eight, nine minutes ahead at the base of the climb, maybe they can hold him off. Uh, okay. I think Moistar needs to do something otherwise it’s a flop tour. Yeah, they all need to do something, right? Uh I think there is a MOA star right there. Enrich Mass was up there earlier. Eric Mass is in this first group. I saw him in the big group earlier. He has survived. He’s got into it and I guarantee you uh who said that? Tony, that’s exactly what they’re saying to their riders. If we if we don’t do something, guys, this tour is a flop. Uh so he’s probably their best place rider at 20th overall for a pretty big team. Not really the best tour for them. Um, Velox tires and rim tape. Yeah, I’m not sure. I wasn’t sure if it was Velox or Velux. See if I can find them. I may have to use the map. Velux. Vlux. Uh, head of the course right here. Two tutor riders there. Alfip’s on an adventure, folks. Alfa Phippe is on an adventure. Actually, I didn’t even see his name in this group. Yeah, there it is. 52nd overall. They need a huge gap. They need a huge gap to stay away once Yonas and Tatty start turning things up. Yeah. Oh, wow. Looking at it here, it’s like 13 minutes and 30 seconds from these guys, the seven riders up front to uh Gashinard at the back. So, he’s going to be fighting all day just to avoid elimination and also survive what he’s going through right now. Uh the way he was grimacing, he was in a lot of pain. So, I’m thinking it’s something mechanical. As he moves, it sets off more pain. Um Becky saying, “Thanks for the answers.” So, I was probably got a a comment here. Today is my credit agricultural day for me at work. What is credit agro day? I know they were a bank. Uh, but I don’t know what that means. Tony again, uh, I would think stages and maintain will be very dangerous for Bogy, but he will handle. Yeah, they are very dangerous for him. No doubt. Anyone that thinks that they’re not dangerous is not watching racing enough because Taddyy is saying, “Those are the days I’m most worried about.” Uh the times when Yonas has beaten him. Remember guys, Yonas has beaten him twice before. It’s been in the third week. Take time out of Tatty. Can he do it this year? We’ll see that on Thursday and Friday. It might be that Tatty just holds it all the way. We might see that lead disappear on the the 0.001% chance. We might see Yonas jump into the lead. It doesn’t look like it right now. Uh, but those days are beasts. Those days are beasts. So, yeah, if there’s any days you’re going to watch the tour to France, it’s stages 18 and 19. Actually, you know what I heard them talking about too with the way the stage finishes this year? Uh, they expect to see GC guys, I’m not saying tatty, but they expect to see GC guys racing for positions on the last stage. Um, if you’re brand new to the tour to France, it’s 21 stages. the way it’s been done in the past, not all the time, but most of the time at the end of Saturday, the last day before uh stage 21, whatever the positions are, they stay that way. You you don’t race on the last day. It’s a parade. It’s a celebration of the tour to France. Ooh, there’s the Vontu. It’s getting closer, folks. It’s getting closer. Uh the only racing that would happen on a Saturday, not all because we have seen a a time trial on the very last stage before, uh would be between the sprinters. They kind of hang out in the back. They do a sprint finish. A sprinter, it’s been tradition for I don’t know how long that a sprinter wins the final stage of the tour to France. It usually the race 99.9% of the time it’s not decided on that last day. Greg Lamont did it in 1989. Otherwise, it’s just a ceremonial progre. It’s different this year. So, there might be riders fighting uh over positions on that last day. I don’t think be tatty. It’ll either be decided on 18 and 19. By then, by the end of Friday, you’ll know who the winner of the tour of France is. I think for sure. Uh Robert, uh Belgian TV is showing the very forgettable Veronquin in 2002. He was so French. Love him or hate him, I guess. Yeah, he was very French. Always had K back then. So, 2002, uh, did he win up? Was there a Von 2 win? 2002. Yes, there was. 2002, we finished up here. I’m looking at it right now. Uh, longer stage. It was 221 kilometers long, but Rashard Veron did win back then. I think he used to blow kisses, too. I think Rashard Veron used to blow kisses. So Rashard Veron and Yonas, they are in the uh the kiss blowing club to the fans. Still waiting to see that today. Um looks like this front group, this looks like the Ben Healey group, the second group on the road. Looks like some disorganization there. One Israel Premier Techch rider off the front. And this looks like Gashar just coming through the sprint point now. Yeah, he’s just went through the sprint point now. struggle fest for him. Uh 14 minutes behind the leaders. Okay. Um Okay, that’s just that. So, he’s 14 minutes behind. I don’t know what the cuto off’s going to be. Seven riders up front. They they’re actually working hard. They pulled their gap from under a minute to now to a minute and a half. And now they’ve they got a 5m minute 45se second lead over Tatty and the boys. So, someone earlier were saying he’d like to see eight minutes for them to escape. Uncle Mattiey’s back. Good day, fine sir. If you were a young Canadian who wanted to train to win the tour of France, knowing what you know now, what places in Canada would you practice? Uh, I think most of the best cyclists in Canada would come from probably the Montreal, Toronto area, and probably Vancouver as well. Uh, they’ve got good terrain there, bigger cities. uh more racing as to where they train. Yeah, I mean I mean there’s probably enough hill climbing and stuff out there. They can slip across the US border there. There’s lots of hilly stuff there, too. Uh the big mountains out here like there is a climb. It’s called Mount Rebel Stoke. Uh I’ve never done it. They used to have a yearly hill climb up it. It’s 25 km at 5%. So that I think that’s the longest paved road climb in Canada. Uh, and there’s some other stuff down in the Okonogan Valley. Apex Mountains, a big climb. Uh, but I think the majority of the cycles would come from Vancouver or the Toronto Montreal area there. And I mean, it could be a couple hours on either side of it. Uh, Canada’s so huge. Uh, Ian Stain Vontu epic ride up it. New rider on station. I think Pogy’s ahead, so he has no worry till the last days. Yeah, Pogy might be just resting up now. Uh, so yeah, you’ve got a 4-minute lead. You know, the two most dangerous days of the tour are coming up. Maybe you’re a little bit sick, maybe you’re a little tired, just a little bit. Would you go out and blow yourself up today? Uh, and then be kind of worn out for stages 18 to 19. I wouldn’t. I would be protecting my lead right now. I would just Vizma has to beat him. Um, just trying to get a look back here and see who’s leading the pelaton. It’s kind of split up right now, so they’re not getting a lot of camera time. I want to see if Red Bull’s still driving the front. Uh, June, everything is very possible until the end. We only have predictions percentage- wise. I bet with Pogy. Yeah, at this point, you have to bet with Pogy before the race started. You had to bet with Pogy. Uh, odds down, hands-on favorite to win the tour. So when he does win, it’s like, yeah, that’s kind of what we expected. Uh, it’s just what can the other riders do? Having a quick peek here. Pelaton is pretty stretched out. And it does look like that’s mostly Red Bull on the front here. Yeah, whitish jerseys from a distance. Remember, I’m in the helicopter view here. Uh, blue shorts and then I can see Pogy riding right behind them in yellow. Might be a couple of UAE riders there. So basically, and then Visma Boys. So, it’s Red Bull, Pogy, and UAE plus Vizma working. The rest of the Pelton’s just a big blob behind them. No one else is working. They’re trying to get in the draft. Uh, Robert Maddie, I know Derek G trains on Vancouver Island. I think Ryder Hedall came from Vancouver Island, too. Maybe Victoria. I believe he did. Uh, Vancouver Island is actually really mountainous. Uh, it’s really pretty, too. If you guys get a chance to go to Vancorell and go there, it’s a huge island. It’s not like just a little island you go to because people think, well, how it probably takes I bet you if you were to drive highway speed, it’s probably an 8 hour drive from top to end. Um, rains all the time there, too. What? Not sure what happened to Gashinard yet. Uh, way off the back. Started the day and I saw he was in pain. They cut to the camera again. He was in more pain and then he’s just been drifting all day. The golf podcast is back. Um, oh, Evvar is wearing the teen kit today at the bank. That’s I think that’s what he was saying. Uh, it’s cruddy agricultural day. Um, the golf podcast it’s not decided on the last day and unless it’s Greg Lamond in 1989. Epic. Yeah, that was the last time guys where there was a time trial on the last day. The leader went in leading with just under one minute. That was Lauren. Greg came out and smoked him. Ended up winning by 8 seconds overall. Smallest victory of margin in the tour to France ever. Wow, that coffee warmer is fantastic. Uh Jonathan Vandenberg, 30,000 subscriber wins the bike behind the chair. No way. No. I need some prizes. I need sponsors to come on board. And uh yeah, I got to figure out something. Someone said I need to do an FD FTP test live and I’m like I have not been riding enough lately. Not at all. Cole saying Yonas should go today. Yeah, he should he should try something. Like I don’t know what Vizma can do right now because I’ve seen a lot of comments like Vizma’s doing this race completely wrong. This is not I don’t know what else they can do. Uh they’ve got a plan. The plan just hasn’t worked yet. Uh yep. This guy here T1 looks like uh LNZ Pogy going to let the break win. It’s stretching out now. And yeah, there’s no one up front that he has to worry about. Highest place rider. Well, I think the Ben Healey group will probably get back some. Maybe not. It’s a minute and 40. The Ben Healey group. So, even Ben Healey 10th place overall, uh, he’s almost 19 minutes behind Pogy on the road, and they’ve only got a 4-minute lead back to Pogy. So, even if the race ended right now, Ben Healey would still be 14 minutes behind Pogy. Aaron’s the only threat up there. And he’s actually 43 minutes behind Pogy. So, I can see this being a conservative day for them. If the attacks go off, I would like to see Pogy let a teammate go for the victory. I think that’d be really cool. Spread the love around. Uh, Brandon, guarantee Pogy will be attempting to win the stage, not a stage to say. Okay, so Brandon is opposite of me. He thinks Pogy’s going to win it. Okay. Um, Hubert Hubert, brand new commenter here. Uh, I’m going to think he’s Polish, maybe. So, I don’t understand what he’s saying. Someone can translate that. Uh, yeah, June’s got it. Stage 21 is a respected stage for the rider holding the yellow jersey as a tradition, drinking wine, champagne. Yeah, that’s where they like put on each other’s hats. They uh trade bikes. The tallest guy in the race and the shortest guy in the race will change bikes and it’s like a comedy show and they line up across the road and they take pictures. I think they’re trying to get away from that. Uh maybe they’ll still follow tradition. Maybe they’ll do that in the first 30 kilometers and then race on. There are three ascents. Uh I’m going to show you this guys right here on the final stage. This is why it’s different this year. So it’s this the K de la but Mount Mart. So this is taken from the Olympic Games. Uh usually would just be like a flat sprinter at the end. So, it’s 132K. There will be racing here 100%. This racing alone is enough to probably throw most of the sprinters out. So, again, anyone who loved the parade and watching the sprint finish is a little bit disappointed that they have this because now it’s not going to be like a Cavendish style sprint finish or, you know, a Jonathan Milan sprint finish. This climb here at the end of the stage after the end of three weeks, three times up this, I think it’s cobbled as well, will probably be enough to shed all those sprinters out. Uh, makes me think that a breakaway is going to want to try to get ahead to survive. It’s kind of my guess. Okay, seven riders up front, 135 gaps came down a little bit here. It is coming down. We are getting close to Bedawin now. Uh, Bedawin should be getting very close. It’s just down the road here. This is Bedawin right here. Maybe I can show you. Okay, I’m just going to leave it here for now. Watch these little dots. See what’s going Yeah, the broom wagon is just hovering behind Gashinard here. I wonder what we’re going to hear from the tour here. Yeah, Gashinard’s in trouble. Here it is, guys. So, here’s the time cut. I was thinking about this. I’ll read from this directly. With the current pace of the race, we can anticipate the winner to at least match the fastest scheduled time. Based on an average speed of 42k an hour, the time cut would then be set at 4139. At the moment, Thomas Gasher’s tracker indicates he is 15 minutes behind the front of the race. He has lost more than 6 minutes in the last half hour of racing. Oh, his team says he is suffering from stomach issues. So, someone asked what’s wrong with him. Stomach issues, you know, upset stomach. Uh, like I said, one bad burrito, one bad could be anything. One bad sandwich, one bad glass of milk. Uh, this is the 10th finish at the top of Molvantu. Yeah, Charlie G. I did read that this morning. Charlie Gaul won it in 1958. And there was a year too, it is saying here, one year they did finish at Shaler Rinard in the modern times. Uh, oh, that was the time with uh Thomas Dant. It was so windy they wouldn’t allow them to go out into the open. Uh, if you heard the the video earlier, I think I read there’s over 200 days out of the year that wind speeds are recorded at 90k an hour. So that’s like 55 miles an hour. That’s that’s a strong wind. That’s the kind of wind that starts damaging things around your property. So they can’t have these guys out in the wind facing that. Um, okay. Yeah, Ian’s getting excited for the start here on the Von 2. The fun is about to start. Yeah, it’s just been kind of a gradual build today. Uh gradual build though. Listen to this. Average speed still 50.3k an hour. When I do my ride today where I’m going to ride inside with no winds, uh no one cutting in front of team radio here. Uh okay, let me just check this out, guys. I want to see what they’re saying here. This is from Israel Premier Techch, I think. Steve. Steve. No one wants to ride. When I ride, no one follows me. Who’s saying this? Yeah. Oh, I see. There is an Israel premier tech rider on the front of the Pelon right now. He’s sitting out front by himself. He’s now he’s radioing back and when it cuts to the live stream, he’s flicking like crazy. No one wants to go with him. Oh, this is this is the second group. This is the second group on the road. This is the Healy group. It’s smaller. So, this I think this might be Woodsy. Oh, it is Woodsy. And you know what? When he says Steve, well, it could be this Neand guy, too. Steve Bower, DS for uh Israel Premier Techch. Greatest Canadian cyclist of all time. So, that’s really cool to see that. So, they want to go and no one’s helping them. Looking back at um Oh, that’s cool. They got a BMX course out here, like a pump track. Bunch of dudes riding BMX’s. The guy out front is all in yellow. Wow, that’s a cool track. Um, so they’re trying to chase uh and no one wants to help. So Israel Permitex trying to get after that group of seven out front and Steve being Steve Bower. Uh, Evard, so many innovations in that Leond when clipless pedals, arrow bars, arrow helmet. Exactly. He went full arrow. He he pulled out everything he could to win it and he did it. Uh oh, Robert saying, “The champagne tradition is a relatively new one. It could go away and I wouldn’t miss it.” Yeah. To me, it’s like they’re not even And that’s what they’re trying Oh, sorry. I’ve got this uh just hovering on there. The tour was trying to make it the organizers are trying to make it a race to the last day because guys, I’ll admit it. Stage 21, if I was just watching, I’m not going to get up to watch the whole thing. It does start later. I did see uh because it’s a shortened stage, stage 21, I think it doesn’t start till after 8:00 in the morning for me. So, obviously, I would have been awake before that, but I might be doing stuff outside. I’m not concerned about the champagnes and the the parade that they do uh the golf podcast live. If Jonas cannot stay with Tatty or does not finish ahead, then the tour may be over for Yonas. Yeah, I mean if if Tattio is on the attack today and thrashes Yonas again that it’s kind of proven that he just can’t beat him. Uh but I think at this point too, we know yo uh Tatty’s better at this tour. Uh Vizma is just probably praying that Tatty unfolds a little bit. They got to hope that maybe he doesn’t feel great, that the team doesn’t work well. It’s still Red Bull at the front. Looks like one two UEE riders. I’m seeing the Belgian jersey here. So, it looks like Tim Wellins has just taken a turn at the front. He’s coming back down now. Um, yeah, that seems right. We’re right at the front here. And then it’s all Red Bull still working. Okay. Uh, okay. Yeah, you’re right. Golf podcast. Good call on that one. Jonas has to be with Tatty all the way today. Robert saying so much arrogance in the final loss. He had access to the technology but chose to fly his Parisian ponytail. Yeah, I was just reading about too. He I think they were even offered bars to use and he said, “No, I don’t need it.” Marcella, poor Gashinar still has the climb to go. Yeah, think about it. He’s probably like feeling like throwing up on the bike. He’s dying out there. Who knows what else? Uh even if he finishes the climb, he may be eliminated by the time cut. Uh, he’s losing time so fast. So, he’s 1637 behind right now. Uh, yeah. What do you do? Some guys will just finish and say, “I did it.” Uh, it does show mental toughness. Uh, Ian says, “I think a video link in Swift would be great to chat, then no messaging while riding.” Uh, yeah, Ian, that’s that’s doable. That’s doable. Uh, how would I? Yeah, Ian, I could do like a Dude, I could do a private or a public stream. I used to do that all the time. So, Ian, the way I used to do a lot of my rides in Ruby is the bike that’s behind me here. Uh, I’d have my camera set up, my fan on that way, and I would do a live stream of that entire ride. I would talk to all the people that are around me or just say what’s going on. Uh, chat wasn’t as busy as this one. People would jump in the chat, ask me questions. What are you riding? some of the people would be messaging me from the ride. Uh, and then I would just throw it up online somewhere later. So, yeah, we can do that. Maybe it’ll get me going back into that again. Uh, and then maybe other people want to join. Uh, Fred Weiss here, earlier you mentioned three trails up the Vontu Summit. Does the True to France use the same route each time the stage is held? Uh, the key, the classic one is the Bedawin one. Uh, I would have to go back here and look to see the other ones. And again, it would be kind of hard for me to tell only because it gives me a start town and a finish town. Uh, but Bedawin is kind of like the one they like to use. It’s the hardest one. Molysine from the west is almost as hard. Why don’t we go back to that for a second, guys? Uh, I’ll show you that again. Turn this on. Turn that off. There we go. So if we look at this here, this is the Bedawin climb up here. You pass by Shalet Renard. I think that’s why they take it because that’s such a cool spot. Uh you break out of the forest into uh this desolate zone. Obviously, if you come from Alson, you don’t pass by a shallow render. This is virtually just as hard as the other climb. They seem to use the Bedin one all the time. Uh the Sue one is a lot easier. Uh it’s this bottom section that’s really steep up through the forest. So this one is stretched out more uh lowers the average gradient down. And uh what else can I do here? Okay, I’m going to go back to this now. But yeah, so Betterawin’s the main one that they like to use. If anyone can remember the last time they used Molysine, I I don’t remember offh hand. Here’s our groups. Seven, six riders up front. We’ve lost someone out of the front group. So, they must be just dangling out the back. Looking at the video feed. Yeah, I just see six riders here. Who have we lost? Alfa, Philip, Sarah, Arens, Mass., there was a seventh rider. So, I would imagine they’re in between here somewhere. They’re they’re in here somewhere, just not popping on yet. Uh, the Ben Healey group is 2 minutes down. I’m I’m shocked they haven’t brought them back. It is 31 riders now. So maybe someone just pulled the pin. Uh I am seeing a Bahrain victorious rider here just being picked up by the Ben Healey group. And it looks like the Ben Healey group is being led by uh Sudal. So oh that might be Fred Wright I think it is that’s gone back to that group. There are two Vizma riders in this group. Okay let’s see who they are. It’s probably Camparts. Yeah Camparts is there and I think it was Bonoot. Got Tonuts there. So just two of them there. Haven’t seen much of out today. He must be riding right with Yonas today. Let’s get back to the time gaps again. Gashinard now 17 minutes back guys. It’s going to be tough. Yeah. So Fred, good good really good question. They always go better when it seems. Um, I can’t remember the last time they went for Mollisene and and an assault up Sue would be kind of like I think a let down for most people. It’s like, well, if you’re going to go von too, why not go up the hardest side? Why go up the easier side? Uncle Maddie saying, “I have Yonas winning today on my list with Pog in second. This your fantasy uh pool. Uh, I do not expect any breaker to do the climb well enough to stay away.” Okay, so he you think it’s all going to come back on the climb, guys. We got over 400 people in the mix right now. Thank you so much. Uh channel appreciates it. I appreciate it. Joey Jojo appreciates it. Uh some of you are like, “Who’s this dude?” My name is Colin. Uh this is my channel, Inside Cycling World. I’m going to lower that camera down here pretty soon, I think. Uh I know I’m looking down a lot all the time. Maybe I need to raise this desk up. Joey, I need a new desk. Um Tony Leapitz can possibly get second if any weakness in Jonas. Yeah, that’s right. I mean, Lipoitz is right there. Lipoitz is right there. Good time to do that. Let’s go back to the rankings again. I’ll lean back a bit so I’m not blinded. Individual after stage 15 general ranking. Okay, there’s Tatty. Uh, it’s three minutes, but yeah, one bad climb. If if Philipp if Fippoitz I wanted to say Falippo. If Florian Lipoitz can have a good climb and not lose contact and Yonas has a bad day on any one of those climbs. The same thing I said about Tatty earlier. Uh you could see Yonas use t lose tons of climb. Like when you crack on a climb, it’s going to be five six minutes you’re going to lose uh if you crack really bad. So they are going to be protecting that position and that’s probably why Red Bull’s working so hard. There actually is very strong crosswinds right now. English flag, the UK, United Kingdom flag on top and one in the middle. Not sure what that is. Strong winds here. Everyone’s going to have to be on high alert. Oh, and it looks like the Yeah, the Alpas and Dona guys did get into this break. Remember the two riders are riding solo uh just as a duo trying to catch on. They’re with the Ben Healey group now. That would be Maruse here and I think it was Rickerts. Oh, over String. It was stringing. So, they’re all back together there now. And I think we’re through Bedawin. We’re very close now. The lead group is just through Bedawin. That should be it right there. Oh, is it? Uh, no. We’re still getting there. Sorry. Better is just a Bedawin’s probably got about 5 6 km up the road at this point. Uh we can tell right away by the distance. 29.3 to the finish. It’s a 21 km climb from Bedawin. Uh we’re 8 km to the uh start of the climb. Where’s Julian? Is Julian going to work some magic today, guys? Julian Alfipe. Aaron’s time in Aaronman’s there. The gap now it’s 6:30. So, some people have said that they need at least 8 minutes to stay away from the Pogster. Um, Cole saying, “I feel like any of us could manage this Vizma team better. I like that. I don’t know if I could. I like the way Bore is working themselves back into the story.” Yeah, me too. I like seeing the other team show up and start doing stuff. Tony saying, “Visma shooting themselves in the foot. Bad tactics. Oo, watch for uh Primos leading up Lipoitz. Okay, see Nabala Rain Rider going out the back here. This is the front. This is the Healey group. Santiago Braago. So he should have been in that group right there. Let’s see if he’s still showing up. We got Fred right there. There he is right there. Santiago Bog. So now you know where you are. Uh that’s the second group on the road. He was just falling back and actually he’s behind the race officials car. He’s letting himself drift back pretty far. I don’t know if he’s just going to start heading back. Okay, that’s a flashback. I thought there was a huge attack going on there. Okay, see what the race is saying into the last 30k. Uh oh, Fred Wright. He’s the guy that fell out of the front group of seven. Got caught by the Ben Healey group. And it says he shared water with Brago. So, Betrago obviously wasn’t getting his drinks in. Maybe that’s why he’s falling back now to go get a real drink. Oh, the coffee is still warm. So good. Uh, Apache RCL. Hey, we got a new dude here. Apache RCL, where you from, dude? Uh, we are leaving like two, my friend. Okay, I don’t understand that exactly, but we’ll figure it out. Oh, we are leaving likes, too. Thank you so much, dude. Thank you much, Apache. I understand now. Got it. Just a quick typo there. Understandable. Uh, Uncle Maddie, not fantasy. I looked at the stages then through the names. I expected to win and do well per stage of a breakaway like Okay, gotcha. Wow. Geology, geography here is just stunning. Like even looking at this here, uh this would be like a rock climbers paradise. And guys, we’re already climbing here the whole time. The yellow jersey group’s climbing right now. The sprinters are climbing right now. It’s a slow ascent uh before we get to bed and then it starts kicking. I’ll tell you some gradients if they’re going to start showing for me. Uh UAE still on the front. Neil’s Plet still grinding away with uh the Red Bull team sitting right behind him. Vizma is lurking on one side. Tatty’s over on the other. And average speed still 49.7 km an hour. When I do my ride today, I’ll probably average 32. Uh and I’m going to ride for 25 km inside. No wind. So simple compared to what these guys are doing. Okay. Uh Oliver Marachic. Aaron might pull it off again. I I’d love to see that. I just don’t know if he has a big enough lead yet. Uh I guess if Tatty really wants to win, I think he actually has a lot of respect for Aaron. It sure showed after that stage that he won on. I think Tatty’s going to have to start or UAE is going to have to start controlling the break now. because he is a threat to for the win. He’s got the confidence. Okay. Uh Tony, too much drama with Mrs. Yonas. Jonas is not thinking straight, not himself. Yeah, there’s so much drama and speculation and stress on that dude. People are already talking about him this being his last year. He’s going to get a new contract. I’ve heard people say he’s going to retire. Uh I have no clue. like none. We’ve all joked about it. Do they stay on their air brakes or they switch to climb bikes before the climb? Absolutely not. They’re gonna stick on these bikes. Done. Uh so that would have been 2020 way back when. I forget the climb. Anyone remember where uh they switched bikes at the base of the climb? It was an individual time trial and they rode their TT bikes and the majority of them switched to road bikes at the base of the climb. Movar getting a fix here. Uh, and that’s where Taddyy passed Primos on the TT and Primos just cratered uh, and lost the tour to France that day. Uh, Vizma’s only tactic is hope. Hope that Pogy cracks, but it’s not happening. Exactly. That’s what I think, too. Uh, I like to say anything can happen, but the chances of it happening, I think, are extremely low. Vizma’s hope right now is that Tatty just tires himself out. Tatty kind of starts breaking apart in the third week. And the only thing I can say towards that is that’s how it’s happened before. Uh it’s been in the third week that Yonas has secured it. But I also believe in those two wins before Yonas had a better team. Basically the same team, but they were just better that those couple years. on the green jersey. Okay, so this is uh Jerry Arumba on the green jersey is the winner. Quite career. Jonathan Milan any chance Benny right now Jonathan Milan is the green jersey winner. I think Bingham was fourth but with Math Chu Vanderpool withdrawing. Bignyam now sits third. The problem is uh Tatty might get the green jersey because there’s green jersey points on all the climbs uh when they finish at the end. So Jonathan Milan can’t get them. Bingan can’t get them. Tatty’s probably going to get them and and take that jersey as well. Oo, look at this uh prediction here. Dixon Maui, another brand new commenter here. Abronson to win today or top three. Oo, nice one. Let’s see where he is. This is uh Yonas Abrahamson won stage 10. No, he won stage 11. Uh yeah, I’d love to see that. I was cheering for him hard. Matu Vanderpool was chasing all the way. My favorite cyclist is MV MVDP. Yeah, MVDP. And I was cheering for the Xax guy all the way to win. Come on, Yonas. Come on. Uh that’s from Marcela. Mark Listister also no draft. So I think what Mark’s saying here is uh with the slower speeds going up the hill there’ll be less draft going up uh in the steepest parts. Maybe where it shallows out a bit. I don’t know how fast they’re going to climb this. What do you guys think? What is it like a 22 23k an hour climb? Something like that. I know some of the other ones have been climbing really fast like 24 25 km an hour. Actually, they’re showing uh Jonas Abrahamson right now. We’re cheering for the other Yonas today, Marcella. Not the Yonas, the other one. I am too. Uh okay, Donner 2022 Tatty is not 2025 Tatty. Pogy has learned and is better. Yeah, you can also say that too. uh that this probably the double strike against Vizma right now is that old Tatty, new Tatty, modern Tatty is better than the Tatty from 2022 and 2023 when he lost Vizma. Uh the team itself worked better in 2022 and 23 when they won. Uh the guys are just not all on peak at the right time right now. Like Vout had already won stages. Vout was on the attacks all the time. Uh Seep Cous was out there all the time. We’re just not seeing it this year. So, they have a plan, but the plan’s just kind of unraveling. The guys are all older, too. So, they’re not going to be the same. Uh oh, ABCD. Nice one. He does not get tired. He will not lose. I see what you’re saying there. Uh Robert, first sighting of Diddy the Devil. He’s kind of the original crazy roadside fan. Yeah, exactly. Uh I actually I’ve only seen him I think on one stage so far. The other crazy dude was um Oh, the guy that was cheering cheering on Derek G for a couple of tours. Uh I think he was first spotted at the Jirro a couple years ago and it was pouring rain and Derek G was on one of his, you know, multiple days of in the breakaway. Uh and there was a Canadian fan there saying, “Dude, this is nothing. This is just like Vancouver Island. Like it rains a lot there. So I think Derek G does a lot of training out there, too. If you guys remember that, let me know. Um, Destiny Ortiz is new here. When does this race finish? Uh, I think today we’re going to finish on the schedule. Let me just try to figure this out quickly. We are on the fastest pace time. Um, I think we’re going to finish about an hour and 15 minutes from now for the majority of the riders. Here’s the sign for the Mon 2. Oh my. So, they should have just passed. They should be through Bedawin now, I would imagine. Oh, they’re just pulling into it because there was a roundabout that said Bedawin Monu. So, they’re going to go through town here. Hang a hard right and they’re heading out of town. So, basically, I think the climb starts right when you leave town. The official climb that’s on straa race radio. I think I missed it. Here we go. Aana Vela, make sure Velasco, make sure you do just as much as Abraham Sim. Okay. And force Abraham Sim to work also. Okay. Force Abrahamson to work also. So they’re talking to Velasco up front. So let’s have a little peek at that. What’s going on there? Um here’s Velasco. Okay, so he’s 49th overall. Abrahamson’s 83rd. I wonder why they’re picking on Abrahamson there. Maybe they think he’s the best guy up here and they think Velasco has a chance against him. Here’s Velasco here. Simony Velasco, 49th overall. So, kind of an interesting radio feed there. Make sure he does as much work as you do. Maybe they’re just watching it and seeing that Abramson’s taking a lot of uh pulls off the back, not make uh going through. Uh Jay Taylor, Jay’s back. Hey Jay, good morning y’all. Sorry to hear about MVDP, but glad he’s attending to his health. How is Yonas? How is Benny? Yonas is in the main group. Uh the main group is 7 minutes back almost right now. 127 riders. We got one poor dude that’s 20 minutes off uh from the front who may not make the time cut. Six riders are off the front with a minute and a half gap over 31 riders including Ben Healey. So we’ve got basically three big groups on the road road and one warrior trying to survive the whole day. Like he’s been out the back forever. Uh suffering with stomach issues. May not even make the time cut. Uh, okay. Don saying, “No real drafting on uphill climb, but having someone to focus on in front of you makes CL.” Yeah, I call that the mental draft. If I see someone ahead of me, I’m like, “Okay, I got someone to shoot for. It’s the carrot out in front.” Um, Robert agreed, Don, he could still get better. Yeah, Pogy still improving. This is Anna from the Niagara region. Memories of being a spectator on Mavonu stage watching Cavendish, Sagon, Canana, Froom, climbing a switchback. Exciting time. So, wow. Anna, I didn’t know you went there. Awesome stuff. Uh, so Sagan, Cavendish, Canana. So, this would have been, I don’t know, 2015, maybe 16. What year was that, Anna? Uh, Oliver Madachic drafting starts to be efficient 1820. Yeah, guys, they’re going to climb probably over that speed in most places, I think. So, they will be drafting off each other. Uh Don, the last day of the tour is July 27th, which is Sunday. Tour to France, Tour to France FEM starts on Saturday. Yeah. So, we got some overlap there. So, guys, I am doing uh the entire tour to France fems. There’s a two-day overlap with the men. They run at virtually the same time. So, what I’m going to do there is start on the Monday, bright and early, stage three for the ladies. Uh, I’ll do like a I’ll jump on super early and do like a stage one and two review of what’s happened, who the teams are. Let’s go through the route together, talk about the riders, what you guys know, get me up to speed on them, and then we’ll kick off with stage three on the Monday for the women’s tour to France, the fec. So, that’s what it’s called. It’s called the tour to France fec Swift. Uh, Ivard here, today’s tatty is not the tatty visma beat. That’s right. Uh they Don said that earlier. He’s going to he’s not going to waste energy chasing when he doesn’t have to and he will attack when it hurts them the most. Yeah, he’s definitely matured. He’s not as uh reckless as he used to be. Okay, so six riders in the group. They’ve started the climb now. I just want to have a quick look at this. Uh they should be on the climb now. Yeah, so they’re on the climb. So is group two. They’re already climbing away. I’m looking for some gradients here. Um and the chasing group, the Pelaton has a ways to go. Let’s see how this comes down. Um so they’re on the climb with almost a 7-minute lead over the Pelaton. Pelon has not started the climb yet. Gashinard 20 minutes behind now. Um okay, Robert saying Fams will be very interesting this year. Robert, you going to be around for it? So yeah, uh it probably starts at the same time. I think the first I’ll take a look at the stages and see what they are. Uh they’re a little bit shorter, but yeah, I’m thinking day one. So day one will actually be stage three for them. I’ll jump on at least an hour before and go through everything that’s happened in the first two days. Unless I can figure out a different way how to do it. Uh I could watch the whole stage live that way and do the call as I’m seeing it here. Possibly. I could possibly do that, too. thinking about that. Uh but then it’s going to be so starting today guys I’m streaming 13 days straight. So just mark if you want to watch some cycling every day I’ve got 13 days straight between the men’s tour to France and the tour to France feswift which starts on Saturday. Uh and it goes for nine days past that. Uh swoosh kid Borah hands grower should not be pulling the pelaton. Come on UAE Visma do your job. Okay so swish kid doesn’t want Bora up front doing the work. Um, I think maybe Bora is trying to put some pressure on UAE, sorry, on Vizma. Uh, because maybe deep down they think Yonas is hurting. Like Yonas could be suffering too, guys. Yonas could be sick. Uh, Yonas could crack at any point. And with a little bit of hard work, we could see Florian Lipowitz into second place overall. Uh, we’ve got a dude here named Mike Marin just saying, “Hi.” Hey, Mike. Welcome to the chat. Glad to have you here. Uh, introduce yourself. Let us know where you’re from. David Gistler, good morning, my Canadian brother. What are your thoughts on Primos and goals for the tour of France? Dude, I think Primos is going to help Florian work his way up. Um maybe have a chance of fighting for second place overall. Uh I’m actually thinking Red Bull’s goals will be to have two riders in the top five. Uh which means Oscar only or Kevin Bakalon will get bumped out. Um, Primos is looking pretty good. He’s looked strong to me. Uh, he had a good time trial. Uh, I think Primos can move up. Okay, looking at the front here right now, still six riders there. Now it’s showing five riders. Someone’s just been pipped out there. We got one drop rider. Okay, Matteo Trenton’s dropped. That makes sense to me. Uh, he’s a bigger rider for Tutor just dropped. And I’m watching it right now on the replay. Matteo Trenton just gets dropped out. Let’s see if the tour is talking about it yet. Okay, Trenton is done. That was at um 46. Same minute as mine. So, they’re right on it right now. The Italian worked hard to give Alfa Phipe a head start. Here we go, folks. Uh ooh. And I can already see Time and Aaron moving to the front. He’s already pushing the front. Time and Aaron, Abraham, Velasco, Enrique Mass, and Alfipe sitting on the back here. So, Alfalipe older. Come on, guys. Already a super day today. You’re going to do everything to make it even. Oh, even bigger in today. Come on, guys. So, this is Tudor cheering on uh Alfalipe now, who I think will be probably the next rider out of this group here. Watch him go on a huge attack now. And he and you know what? He’s attacking right now. I’m watching it on camera. He just puts in a huge dig and jumps back on. He goes right past Aaron. So he heard the radio. Boom. He just responded and he goes on a huge attack. Enrich Mass uh is the first to react. Velasco goes. Abrahamson goes and actually Arensman finds himself off the back now. Kind of slowly getting up to power. I think he’s under control here. Can Alfalipe really drop all these guys with 17.4 km of climbing remaining? I don’t think so. But re that was a strong attack. Very strong attack. Aaronman looks under control here. He’s grabbing a bottle, but he’s probably a 100 meters behind them right now. So Aaron’s been dropped out of that group. Velasco just hanging on. Okay, they’ve all pulled up. Actually, Abramson goes on an attack over the top. So Abramson puts a counterattack in. Uh Marcella Yonas, the other Yonas uh is on the move. Alfalip now reacting. Enrich Mass just sitting his wheel. Velasco struggling to hang on to Mass’s wheel here. Mass actually, you know what? Looks super smooth on the bike. He’s like rock solid. Velasco is all over the place trying to generate the power. Mass moves to the front. Only 4% gradient here, guys. Wow. This is cool to see. Uh, and I’m looking at it. Abramson’s being dropped out the back now. uh the Healey group. So there’s going to be riders in between. I think we had seven there. Uh there’s only four left in this front group right now. Four riders. Arenssman, Mass, Velasco, Alfalipe, Abramson’s going out the back. And he’s grinding to a halt. Abramson actually. Uh yeah, just watching this replay here. Aaron just incredible job here winding his power back up and coming back on. He’s slowly dialing them back. It says he’s in the group with him, but he’s just bringing them back now. So, Abrahamson put his attack in and I think he just blew himself up. Hopefully, he recovers. We’re in about a 7% zone right now. Uh from the very front riders, we got four Aaron, Mass, Velasco, and Alfalipe. Uh it’s 6 and a half minutes back to the Pelaton. Pogy and crew. Just call him that for now. Let’s see how poor Gashinar is doing. He’s 21 minutes back from the front. Looks like uh Lenny Martinez is under some uh he’s having some struggles here. A little bit of discomfort. Oo, up through that forest is brutal. I’ll tell you that right now. So, drop rider. We got Abrahamson here. Dropped uh like hard 40 seconds behind that front four now. Uh Matteo Trenton would have been there somewhere. And there was one other rider. Velasco is still there. Arensman’s still there. Alfalipe Mass. Alfalipe is the one that lit it up and started doing all the damage. Okay, back to the chat, guys. Um, Al, okay, I’m just seeing your house. Alpha Loop’s great right now. Okay, so David’s from Canada, too. Uh, I think Ben Healey over five minutes up over the ahead of the yellow group. He could move up the GC. Uh, let’s take a look if that holds. Overall classification general Ben Healey five minutes ahead of the Pelaton. Yeah. So Ben Healey right now he’s riding with Carlos Rodriguez though. Uh yeah, you’re right. He could he could pull back a lot of time on even on uh Johansson here. Like a lot of time cuz he’s got like a six-minute gap on him. So, if it was to end right now, he’d be getting a lot closer. Uh, let me get caught up. Yeah. And yeah, so I hear what you’re saying. Tatty’s better. Vizma team is not as strong. Is this the same Yonas as the past? I think he looks really good right now, but still, he survived a horrible crash. And we don’t see many riders coming back from crashes like that to this level. So, give him props for that, right? to come back to this level. Other riders have never made it back like Chris Froom never made it back. Uh Egon Egon Bernell never made it back. He’s getting there now after three years of a crash. Uh Alfip’s looking great. Four riders in the front group. Alfa Phippe was the first one to attack. They’ve got 15.4 km to go, 15.3 to go right now. Uh Abrahamson is almost a minute back and then it’s a 45se secondond back to the Healey group. From what I saw earlier, the Healey group was not chasing hard at all. There was messages from the Israel premier tech rider uh who I think was Nean saying they’re not working with us at all. No one will follow. Sitting on the front right now though, it looks like a lot of Vizma teams uh of the GC Pelaton fans everywhere here. Uh so this new segment here they say 15.7 kmters at 8.8% because they you can split the climb up into different segments and that’s the other one they use a lot. Uh and I believe that’s the one that they do the official timings for. So the record right now uh the modern record would be Tatty Pagachar. I guess you could say alltime record. They’ve kind of forgotten about Pontani’s time because of drug usage. Velasco slipping out the back. Velasco looks like he’s cracked out the back here, guys. Yeah, he’s out the back. Uh Velasco’s quickly lost 10 seconds here. Uh so, three riders back. It was really cool to see it when uh Tudor said, “Come on, dudes. Let’s go. Let’s go. You can do this.” Alfippe instantly attacked. I read the message out to you guys. Uh I want to make sure I’m fully caught up here. Yep, they’re also there. Aaron, Ala, Philippe, and Mass. Looking really good for Aaron. and Aaron got dropped hard. Uh he was at least a 100 meters behind them and slowly was calm and just worked his way back. Enrich Mass looks really good on his bike right now. He’s doing the least movement out of all of them. You know, the the bobbing back and forth. He’s really solid and planted on his bike. Can we see Enrich Mass have a great day for Moistar? Uh they really need it. They really need it. Uh Dixon Moi with seven men. I’m not sure if any of the Pogy Group can make it, provided that the hill is not that long. Dude, it’s it’s a 20 km climb in total. Uh the time segment they usually use is about 16 km. So it’s it’s a pretty long climb. Uh 6 minutes 17 from the front group to the back group right now. Uh J Taylor cheering on Florian. Love that guy. How is Woodsy of Caner? How is Primo? Uh Primo is in uh the main the GC Pelaton with it looks like Red Bull just worked for about 50 kilometers straight on the front. I’m not really sure what they were doing there and Woodsy should be in the Ben Healey group here. So let me just double check that. Yeah, Mike Woods is in the the Ben Healey group. So right now we have three groups out front. Let’s go to the map here. The MOA 2. Uh, we’ve got our front group of three. The second group is Velasco. It is Velasco. You can see them right here. The third group is Yonas Abrahamson. Oh, no. They’re saying that’s the third group now. That’s the Ben Heila group. So, Abrahamson is somewhere in between. Uh, we were cheering on Abramson earlier and he did put an attack in. Uh, but I think he just blew himself up. They’re in a 10% section now. like up through the forest there’s like 3 kilometers of 10 10 and a half% uh that are really tough. These guys are all gritting their teeth through here. Quick shot of Grant Thomas uh riding with a teammate. Looks like they’re Yeah, they’re being blown out the back of the GC pelaton. The main pelon. Wow. Arca B&B vout vanard’s up there. Dathlon’s there. Picnic. Everyone’s up there. Everyone is at the front of this group. Keep a close eye on that, guys. We’re going to keep a close eye on that. Um, so you can see our little dots here. So, now it’s group two. I think Velasco has been totally picked up by the Ben Heila group. Now, let’s see the gap now. Uh, it’s still at 142. So, the front three are holding off 32 riders. Uh, now it’s showing differently. Okay, here we go. Now, it’s showing differently. Let’s see if the live tracking shows it. I don’t think it will. It is. So, he disappeared for a while. So, Velasco is just dangling off the back there. 910 seconds back. Uh, off the front. Let me see where this is. Off the Healy group. Someone’s attacking right now. It’s Valentine Perry Ponch. So, the Healy Group is getting sick and tired of not being able to close the gap. They’re going for it. And is that Emer Mass on the attack? I think Emer Mass is attacking, too. I think Emer Mass is on the attack right now, guys. Enrich Mass has made a move. Does he have it today? He’s looking over shoulder. He’s got a huge gap on them already. Big gap. He’s got a 10-second gap already on them. And okay, I said earlier going up the climb, he was so planted and calm looking on his bike and everyone else was doing a lot of rocking. So maybe Enrich Mass is just on one of those days. Uh someone earlier here today said uh and whoever you are, put your hand up. I want to see someone put their hand up. Someone said, “Movasar needs to do something otherwise their tour is a flop.” And I agree with you 100%. Enrich Mass heard us, dude. Uh, and he’s going after it right now, dudes. 450 something people watching. Thank you so much for being here, everyone. Please like and subscribe. Smash the bell button. Do all that fun stuff. Uh, and behind the Healy group, they’re sick and tired of this. They’re going now. I can see uh Israel Premier Techch Rider coming. I think that’s uh Woodsy there. Perry Ponch is coming. And just around the corner, I saw a pink jersey. That’s going to be Ben Healey coming. Ben Healey’s coming next. Um, okay. Destiny Ortiz is cheering on Oscar only. Uh Oscar is fourth overall right now at the tour. Jim Boy. Yao. I thought Van Art Vanderpool pulled out from the rest of the tour. Yeah, he’s gone. Vanderpool’s gone. He’s got he’s got pneumonia. Uh did I say Vanderpool? I know. I saw Van Art. Uh Vanart is on camera right now pulling uh Yonas. And I can see Sepus right behind him. Poggy about seventh or eighth riders back. Oscar only sitting here comfortably on the right hand side of the screen. Uh two Uno X riders there obviously. Uh I think it’s Johansson that’s in eighth place overall doing this climber. I think we’re going to zoom in a little bit here. That still looks tough, doesn’t it? Even when I zoom in, it it doesn’t look like a wall anymore, but uh this over 20 kilometers long would just be mind sapping. Uh from the front to the back is 22 minutes now. Hang in there, Gashionard. Enrich Mass doing it. 11% gradient here, guys. It is really tough up through the forest. I think the steepest gradients are through that forest. Uh and it’s prolonged. It’s like 3 km of 10 10 12%. Okay, just so you guys know, uh even Enrich Mass, world class climber here, uh 14 15k an hour, that’s all he’s doing for speed. So further back down, you’re really not going to get much drafting. Uh there could be a bit of a mental draft. Shimano Neutral Service right beside him here. Uh just in case anything happens to him. We got the two chasers, which are Aaron’s men and Alfa Phippe. Love seeing Alfipe up here. Again, I told you guys earlier, he’s my kind of rider. So, they’re chasing at 18 seconds down. Uh we’ve got one minute to Ben Healey. I told you he was coming around the corner. Velasco, who got picked up. There’s Michael Woods, the five riders, Bago, and Valentine Perry Pont for Sudal. Then we’re going to bounce back a bit more. Uh yeah, here’s here’s the original Ben Healey group right here. Uh they’re 45 seconds down. They don’t seem too interested in trying to chase the leaders. That’s why the other guys took off. Perry Ponch went first. Woodsy went. We heard uh someone from Israel Premier complaining that the the Ben Healey group, no one wanted to work. And looking here, looks like Valentine’s maybe got a a bit of distance on the other riders. Hard to tell at this point. We’ll see with the delay what’s going on there. Yeah. So, Matu Vanderpool is out. Vout is still there though, pulling hard for Vizma. Um, okay. Okay. Uh, oh, I’m so far behind here, guys. Yeah, he’s out. Uh, SW saying a bit too early. Law. Okay. So, I’m not sure what I missed there. Marcelo. Oh, wow. Quite early for an attack. Yeah, they went right at the bottom, guys. Uh, Oliver saying they’re attacking too early. Sheila, it’s hilarious that there’s so many people saying Yonas is washed up. He’s second place people. That’s what I say, too. How can he be washed up when he’s second place at the Tour to France? Like, he’s just up against someone that’s really, really good right now. Yeah. And guys, I said before, 10 11%. Enrich Mass is still in that 10 11% stuff. Visma’s on the front. Three. Visma in the front. Vout just popped out the back like instant standstill. about just basically stopped on the road. Uh that doesn’t look like Se. Is that Se? Yeah, that’s Se on the front. Uh Simon Yates is second. Yonas is third. So I guess Vizma’s trying to put some pressure on them. Red Bull’s hanging out there, too. They’re trying to cover their positions. Uh I’m going to get through all the stuff here. Uh Jay, I saw Lenny uh blowing out the back of the GC group earlier on. I’m not sure he is right now. Uh, yep. So, Jim Jay Taylor’s uh talking to Jimbo here. Matchu withdrew from pneumonia earlier, guys. Wow. Over 500 people here with me. Thank you so much. And with us, guys, everyone jump into the chat. Tell me where you’re from. Uh, what kind of bike do you ride? What kind of cycling do you do? Uh, we got Audi Conrad here just tuning in. How is the wind weather? Uh, dude, it was windy earlier. On the climb is 25° C. I don’t think the winds are going to impact them too much here. There hasn’t been any notification of them shortening the stage at all like they did in 2016. Okay, so here’s another dude. Uh, let me get caught up. Uh, Sean Mc, hi from the mountains of North Wales. Just subscribed and left a like. Thank you so much, brother. Thank you so much, Sean Mc. Tough riding in Wales, dude. Tough riding. That place is so lumpy. Uh, I’ve only rode it virtually on Ruby. Looks like Ben O’ Conor here is up to something. Let’s just find out what’s going on with Ben here. Uh I’m trying to see where he is. Ben Oconor is 12th overall. I think he just got blown out the back. Visma still in the front. So Se is setting pace. Simon second. Uh Yonas third, Tatty fourth. Tatty’s going to mark everything. I didn’t see a lot of other UAE riders there, so Tatty might be alone, but I think he’s okay with that. the way he’s riding these days. Uh Allan Kle here. Allan’s a new guy. Allan, I saw your comment before. I’m trying to figure it out. Love your channel. Thank you, dude. No biggie, but since you will be saying it so often. Tatty, I know is not pronounced Tatty, but but fatherther. Okay, you have to explain it to me, Morg. Keep up the great work. Yeah, I someone corrected me if it is. They said Tatty is today and then I kept saying, well, today is today. Is today going to be the today that Tatty today wins? Yeah, dude. Just say I know they’re going to say today. Uh that’s why you’ll hear me a lot of times just call him Pogy. Uh so dude, give me a phonetic spelling Allan, please. And I’ll try to do that. Uh someone help me with Oxitania Oxitania or whatever it’s called. Uh the pro the the department here in France. Alfipe wants to win. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t bury himself to go for French glory. Dude, I know. That’s what I’m thinking. He’s got the class. He’s got the character. Uh, that’s what I like about guys like Alfa Phippe. They’ll just hang it all out there. Alfa Phippe will either be broken on the side of the road or we’ll be very, very close to the top. He’s not just going to take a safe leisurely ride up here. Uh, guys, I climbed the MO too. Uh, okay. Joey Jojo loves crime. She loves crime documentary. She went to Crime Con in Vegas. I was home alone. It was March. Uh, I did my double von two weekend, guys. So, Saturday I rode the the Bedawin assault and then Sunday I rode the Molysine Assault. Didn’t know about the Sue assault. Um, so I never did that one. Uh, I’m going to have to do the whole thing again, aren’t I? Let’s see that happen. Yeah. So, Allan, if you can give me more of a phonetic today is not pronounced dad, dad, daddy, but father. Okay, I got to figure that out. Uh Jay Taylor’s asking, “How is Jonathan Milan?” Dude, it was funny. Jonathan Milan and Bingham were in a chase group before the sprint points by themselves. Then they realized there was 40 riders up the road from them that they couldn’t catch them before the sprint point. They just sailed back. Uh right now they’re at the very back. Uh there’s 98 riders back here. That’s where Ben Oconor was drifting back to. Uh so from the front to green jersey it’s 10 minutes and Gashinard is a further 12 and a half minutes. He’s 23 minutes back right now. Oo seeing Jonathan Narvay is getting blown out the back here and uh Trek Rider I think that was Scoins. So I think I think Tatty is quite isolated today. Pogy I’m going to say Pog Pogster. Tadpole. I actually like Tadpole. It’s just an abbreviation. Um, I don’t think there’s any UAE riders left with them right now. I better take a look at that. So, it this group’s getting very small. There is 48 riders, so there could be still one floating around. Okay, they’re saying Narvo is there. He’s not there anymore. He’s out the back. I just watched it. Unless he’s just dangling and they’re throwing him in there. Okay, Adam Yates is there, so that’s good. They’re saying Wellins is there, too. Okay, well, let’s just let that sit for a bit. Uh from the very very front. What’s going on here? Aaron’s been in Alfa Phippe. Where is Enrich Mass? What is his gap? Enrich Mass, guys. Uh 33 second gap over the two riders chasing him. Uh Aaron and Alipe here. That’s Aeron. Then we’re uh 55 seconds to the Healy group. These guys should have done this sooner, I think. Uh, I think they were messing around too long in like a group of like 32 33 riders and they let that little breakaway sit out front the whole day. Uh, watching here now. 10% gradient through here. Uh, where are we on the map just so you guys know, still climbing. Still climbing. Uh, Shalley Renard will be right here. You can tell this is the road from Sue. this uh D164 comes across. Shalet Rainard is right on the switch back here. That’s where we’re going to pop out of the forest and start uh the exposed part. The totally exposed to the winds if there is any winds coming and they should be coming kind of like right at them. Uh there’s not there’s nothing to hide behind. There’s no trees, nothing. So that may impact the later part of the road. If there’s wind right now, it’s not really going to affect them because they’re so in the trees here. There’s lots of shelter from the wind at this point. Uh, back to our chat here. Uh, Mark Listister, what stop people in a breakaway not doing their turn on the front knowing that it isn’t good for the health of the breakaway in the long run? Yeah, dude. Like, what stops him from doing it? Uh, okay. Hang on. I’m just seeing Tim Wellins pop out the back here and I and I thought I saw another Bisma Rider pop. I think Seep Cous is already out. I’m just gonna say, yeah, Cous is already out, I believe. That must be Simon Yates still. And this looks like a UAE rider maybe floating back from uh the Ben Healey group that was up front. I think that’s who that is. Yeah, it is. I’m going to figure out who this is here. It’s a UAE rider that came back uh trying to give some support to Tatty because he’s isolated now. Uh, I don’t think that really matters to him. Oh, and it’s Sep’s still there. So, it was Simon that blew. So, I think Simon Yates just got blown out the back. Uh, won the Jirro just uh two months back. Not able to hang with these guys. Maybe they can bring it back together on the flats if these guys relent a little bit. That UAE rider that came back, looked over at Tatty, I think it was a UAE rider, looked at him and has just drifted right off the back. So, I don’t think he’s going to have any support there. Yeah, I know, Mark. That’s the question. What stops people from working together? These are your friend enemies for now. You need to work together and fight it out in the last couple hundred meters. Uh they’re just looking at the back. They’re they might be in a position where it’s like, you can’t help them get away. We’ve got a guy back here that is higher placed overall. We can’t let him lose time or you can’t let him get him get points up the road, whether it be polka dot jersey points, green jersey points, anything like that. Um Aaron here is working with uh Alfalipe really well. I think you know if it wasn’t for Mass up the road I would be like Aaron like dude help me all the way let me get time you can go for the win. That kind of stuff happens all the time between these riders. Enrich Mass is on something today folks. He is on a very good day. Uh 48 second gap now. And I’m going to say I think he still looks really comfortable with his position. And whoever it was, I haven’t seen your hand pop up yet. Someone says, uh, if Movar doesn’t win something, their tour has been a complete flop. Uh, Jay Taylor. Yeah, would love to see Alfeep win. Me, too. Aaron reminds me of Olick, a big engine that grinds slowly up to speed. Yeah, he did get dropped. totally got dropped when Alflee attacked and I’m like uh cuz I’m expecting this guy to do good today and he was gone. He was down by at least 100 meters and then slowly just built himself back up. Maybe he just felt really good and was grabbing a bottle and okay, I can get them back. He’s shown that he’s a really good climber. Uh he’s got a second place and a first place finish on two really tough stages. Sepoose out of the saddle here, guys. 10%. They’re actually riding at 17 18 km an hour. Uh little camera shot here. Looks like Alfa Phippe is just working away from Aaron a little bit. Okay. Two door. Own pace. Own pace. Own pace. He will die. He will die. That’s what they’re saying to him. So they’re telling that to Alfalipe uh who’s trying to get get a bit of a gap on Arenssman here right now. They think Aaron’s going to fall apart. Arensman’s back on his wheel now. I had a bit of a stutter there in my video. What happened there? I think I think Aeron’s almost hit the neutral service motorbike in that replay. He Yeah, Aaron. Oh, wow. So, when that all went down, Aaron must have had his head down, looked up at the last second, saw the Shimano neutral service bike parked on the side of the road, and had to swerve out of the way. Uh, looking back now, I can see Healey’s on the move. Healey is on the move. Front group 9.1 km finish. So, he’s okay. Well, he’s not halfway up the climb. He’s halfway up the the full climb, but not the time segments. He’s got a one minute gap on Aaronman and Alfalipe. Just seeing what Aaron did there, I got to think he’s kind of suffering to have his head down and then almost ride into the back of a motorcycle. Uh it is 24 degrees up here. Sepus, uh having an incredible ride here. So, I’m going to just bounce back. I wanted to let you know who’s in that. There’s only They’re saying there’s only 11 riders in this uh GC group. Okay, interesting. They are saying Yates is here. I guess he must be dangling off. He is dangling right off the back. He’s the last rider in this group of 11. They’re saying Adam is here, too. I don’t see him. Uh actually, he might be sitting right behind Pogy. So, Pogy does have some support there. Primos is here. Johansson’s here. Uh Rodriguez for Enos. Sepkous, Simon Yates, Valong, Leapitz, they’re all here. The only one that’s not here out of the top 10 would be Ben Healey. I think actually it looks like seventh place is not here. Who is seventh place? Felix Gaul. Okay, guys. I’ve just noticed Felix Gaul is not in that group there. Uh, so Felix Gaul is not in the GC contenders group. I didn’t see him. They wouldn’t let him slip away. They’re not going to let him slip away. So, this is the remnants of the Ben Healey group here. It’s 11 riders. Remnants of the Healey Group. We’re going to bounce up. Uh, then we’ve got Okay, I don’t think that bounced me up properly. And Okay, so that is 11 riders there. Then we’re going to Aeronman. Oo, look at this guys. Look at this. The Ben Healey group has caught on with Aaron and Alfalipe. So at the start of the climb, they were like about 145 down. They brought it all back. And I think that’s because that their original big group of the healer group, the big group at the beginning, they were kind of just dillydallying. They weren’t working hard. They weren’t trying to bring them back. Uh Perry Ponch went on the attack. Bago went and Healey went. Uh Mike Woods is somewhere in between, I believe. But now we got five riders working together trying to chase down Enrich Mass. Let’s take a look at Enrich Mass here. I hope the camera gets on him soon. Uh where is he? Here. He has a 1 minute 7second lead over these five riders. Uh taking a look here. Aaron Smith still at the front. It looks like Ala Phelps faded through the Healey group. We do have an Inos rider. Ooh, that’s Rodriguez. That’s Carlos Rodriguez. uh in that group. Felix Gaul, he could be the big loser today. Uh I think he’s in this group that’s further back. He’s a Decathlon rider. I just don’t know where he is right now. Haven’t seen anything on Jonathan Milan’s in this group. There’s 99 riders back here. Uh let’s see if we can confirm where he is. Perry Pon, the other Perry Pontra. Scotsson’s back here. Where is Felix Gaul? There’s Amarel. Nassen. I wonder if his transponder is not working. I don’t see him in the group either. Uh so seventh place is not in that group. Everyone else is there. Healey just up the road. Uh I’m going to have to look for him in a bit, guys. Emer gritting his teeth. Still looks really good. He looks controlled. That’s how I would describe him. Out of the saddle now, guys. 10% gradient still. It’s been like 10 11% for I don’t know 15 20 minutes here. So yeah, he is grimacing, but he looks very controlled on the bike. Ah, here’s Abrahamson from earlier. Sorry, that’s the other guy. Uh, that’s that’s Yonas from earlier. Is it Abramson? He’s just getting pulled back now. We’ve got Seep Cus on the front, Yonas second, then Tatty and Adam Yates. Adam Yates is there right behind Tatty. Simon Yates for Vizma is further back. I can see uh the Unoax rider spraying down his leader that’s in eighth place overall right now. Oh, that was cool to see. I’m gonna have a quick look at this. I think guys are really hurting in the heat. Uh they’re suffering for drinks. Really cool here. Number 42 for Interar. I don’t know who this is. Handed his bottle to Kevin Valon of Arca B&B Hotels. So obviously Kevin didn’t have a drink. They probably know each other from the past. Perry Pon’s putting an attack in on the Healy group. Wow. So, I love seeing stuff like that when guys that know each other. Maybe they knew each other as juniors. I’ll have to look and see who that is. 58 second gap Mass has. Can he hold these guys off? He’s trying to hold off Ben Healey, Santiago Braago, and Valentine Perry Ponch, who looks like a pretty decent climber. Uh Aaron and Alfalip are gone. They’ve spent all their energy, probably too long out front today. They’ve already lost 18 seconds to the Healy Group. Speed average speed’s coming way down now cuz now we’re just crawling along. Actually, the Healy Group here is anywhere between 20 24k an hour. This looks like Alfallet grabbing a drink bottle. Uh he’s just going to follow the back now. The Pelaton’s going to pick him up. Let’s see. Oh, and I’m not seeing Gashinard on screen anymore, guys. So, either it’s just misreported or he’s withdrawn. Uh, nothing’s been reported here, but he’s not showing up anymore unless Yeah, there’s no way he would have got with the green jersey group again. I don’t think. Okay. Enrich Mass 7.2 km to go. Just out over a minute. Heely group is only three riders. Heel’s 10th place overall. So Healey’s trying to get any time he can out of that group. Oh, and looking at the camera here, Yonas is on the attack. Yonas and Pogy the only two to go. Uh they’re I think they’re bridging up to Aaron right here. I think Yonas has just caught Aaron. Pogy. Yonas is going. Poggy’s on his wheel. Yonas looks really good, guys. Yonas looks really good. Pogy does look control, too. They’re riding at 28k an hour. Uh Flor and Lipoitz is on the prowl, too. Florian Lipoitz went with them and he’s bringing fighting his way back on. Kevin Boalon now at the back. I think Kevin’s suffering in the heat here. Uh I don’t think he even has a bottle on his bike right now. There’s um the number I can’t remember his name right now, guys. Sorry. I got to check this. Tobias Johansson. Is Tobias Johansson? Yes, it is Tobias Johansson. Uh, he’s falling out the back. Okay, let’s let this all settle down. It’s crazy time here what I’m seeing there on the screen. So, let’s take a look. Enrich Mass solo one minute gap over the Healey group. It’s three riders uh bouncing back. back. We got the Arenssman group which was Alfa Phippe and Arenssman. So, who are we catching there? Camparts group. Uh, here’s our front end of the Here’s our GC group. And actually, they don’t have Lipoitz back on. Wow, this is good. Okay, so this is nice. T Bonut was in the Healy group all day. Now, we got Yonas, Fingo, and Tatty up there together. Tatty Jonas put in a huge attack. Tatty just went with him. I saw I positive I saw Florian Lipoitz just off the back there and I thought he was coming back. They must have accelerated again. Uh the white jersey. There’s Leipoitz right there. Oscar only. Primos. Remember him? He should have retired, right? I’m going to say that every time I see him. Sixth place overall at the Tour of France. And Carlos Rodriguez is there too on the front. Now guys, remember this is slightly delayed. I’m going to try to get this as fresh as I can. 6.7. Okay, this is good. Wow, they’re moving fast. Lead group, uh, mass is at 6.5 km to go. It says that the chasers here, I think, are only 6.7 km to go. So, they’re they’re not that far behind him, really. Healy group still holding him. So, Mass is able to hold them off. The healing group cannot catch him right now. Uh Aaron of Alfa Phelps says they’re still together. I’m seeing attacks going off from behind too. Oh, this is Oscar only chasing up there. And that looks like Lipoitz trying to get all these numbers figured out here. This is another UAE rider trying to bridge up. They’re trying to get back on probably to support their GC riders. I’m not sure if that’s Primos or not. Let’s uh take a look at these gaps here. Trying to get this all figured out, guys. So, the green jersey is 15 minutes off the front pace. No sign of Gastro, who was 24 minutes back. He’s just disappeared. I think he’s withdrawn. And they just haven’t let us know yet. So, we’ve got three chasing three. Who’s chasing one? Actually, there’s a couple of groups in between, but they’re all going to be devoured here, I think. T-ponoot burying himself. Bandit across the node. knows. Tatty looks comfortable. Yonas looks very racy. Looks like he’s under no stress here. Keeping a high tempo. Uh let me catch up with the chat here, guys. This is nuts right now. Uh yeah, Mass is gone. He’s way up the road now. Jorgensson got dropped from the yellow group. Yeah, it all kind of splintered. Uh I’m watching here, guys. Slightly delayed. Yonas is attacking again. Bonoot just absolutely stops still. Still insane going from 25k an hour down to like two. Yonas is attacking. Tatty just sitting on his wheel in this 10% segment. Uh they just caught two riders here. So they’re riding up through the remnants. They’re just passing a Unoax rider right now. Uh that’s probably Abrahamson, I believe. Uh the Jonas guy. Jonas. It’s the other Jonas. I think that’s who that is. We got the crazies on. Oh, we got the crazies here on the side of the road uh for Daddy. Yeah. So, they’re working their way up through the remnants of the Ben Healey group right now. And if you look here, you can see here on screen, my Oojan, there’s only two of them right there. Yellow jersey group. Then they’ve got a Camparts group ahead of them. There’s three riders still surviving there. Then they’ve got the Aeronman group, which I think is only two riders, Alfalipe and Arensman. Then we’re going to bounce it to the Healy group. Three riders that went early who got sick of waiting and Emer Mass still going, guys. Did he go too soon? He’s got 5.5 kilometers to go. Uh, he’s got roughly 2 minutes lead over Tatty. I’m just I’m just saying 107. Oh, it’s 10750. So, he’s got a two minute. He’s got three minutes. It looks like uh on the yellow jersey. The yellow jersey. Uh that’s Tatty and Yonas are going to catch the Victor Camparts group here right away. Campon Arts, Mielberger, and Maurice. Just waiting to see that on screen here. Cameras are just locked in on these guys. They’re not really showing a lot of Enrich Mass at this point. Okay. Uh yeah, Grant Thomas enjoying his last ride up the MOU for this tour to France. Well, even yesterday he said that that was my last rest day breakfast ever at the tour to France. He’s going to be going through a lot of those right now. Okay, so here’s an Estana rider just being caught. Who would that have been? Who would that have been? Uh, yeah, they’re not even showing now. He’s already gone. So, Campernar Group’s down to two. Muleberger. Oh, it did show up for a second. I just missed it. Uh, I think it’s still showing the three. It’s only showing two year, but he just got passed on camera there. Uh, 78% now. Uh, not as steep as it was earlier. Bit higher speeds now. Tatty being super smart here, guys. Being super smart. Uh, just letting Yonas do all the work. But Yonas does look pretty comfortable. We’ve seen it before, though, guys. If they were both to do their hardest sprint right now, I know Tatty would pass Yonas. Like, I know that 100%. Okay, here we go. Ah, Camparts is here. Does Camparts have anything left? He’s looking back, waiting for Yonas. Looking back the whole time, waiting for Yonas. Let’s see what happens when they go by. Uh, Victor, you better get up to speed because Yonas is going to come right by you and you’re going to get provide nothing to him. Looks like we’ve got uh Mass has gone under the 5 kmter barrier. Yeah, he’s at 4.7 right now. If this is correct, uh, mass has either faded really bad or the Healey group is being pushed by the winds or something crazy. Uh, because there’s two of them chasing and it says they’re only 20 seconds. So, 40 seconds just evaporated between the Ben Healey group and the Enrich Mask uh, solo rider. Wow. I was kind of cheering for Enrich Mass, too. Uh, Evard saying, “I guess I have to fix my Moverar jersey.” Dude, don’t fix it yet because I think Mass is falling apart now. And Campon Arts is doing work for Yonas here. I just don’t know if it’s anything that’s going to really help him. At least he can get a draft because at this speed, Tatty’s just drafting Yonas all the way up the hill. 22k an hour. They’re definitely draft here. So, Victor needs to just sit there uh and let Yonas recover. I don’t think nothing’s changing today. If anything, Tatty gets a few seconds out of Yonas again. Uh, Don, I agree. Movar, Estana, Lau need to do something or their teams face relegation. Correct. Yeah, whoever said that, come on, smash the like button, guys. I’ve just completely lost track of where the chat is. There’s so much chat. Uh, yeah. Come on, everyone. Smash the like button. Yeah, thank you. Uh this is Jake. Jake’s brand new here, too, and he’s yelling for everyone to smash the like button. Thank you very much, Jake. Jake A714. 600 people are watching. Bingo bango. That’s how we do it here, folks. We’re in the cube of destruction and sorrow sometimes. Nah, I’ve never cried on my bike. I think I’ve yelled out in pain one time. 100 mile inside ride. My feet were on fire. Okay, so yeah, this is insane. Now, uh Enrich Mass is still there. He’s only got a 5second gap over the reason they’re catching cuz Ben Healey is burying himself trying to get back on. Uh I’m going to show you the map here, guys. If you hear the dogs, it’s okay. They’re all crazy. That means Joey Jojo has probably departed for work. No, it’s too early for her. Uh they’re they’re out of the trees now. Pretty soon there’ll be nothing up here but a bunch of rocks on the side of the road. Yeah, they’re coming out of it now. So Ben Healey’s leading Perry Ponch all the way. Oh, I can see Enrich Mass up the road. So the catch is like right away. I bet you they’ve made it now. Yeah, it’s done now. They’ve actually are with him now. Can Enrik Mass react at all to this? I don’t know if he can. I mean, he spent a lot of energy there. So then we’ve got Alfipe and Van Wilder. So Alfa Phalip’s still hanging in there. Aaronman’s going to be back. You’re probably with the yellow jersey now or he’s gone. Camponarts, Maurice, Muielberger, Vingigo, and Pogata. So, this is interesting here because I think uh Murice, I think they already passed him and I think he’s got back on somehow. Let’s just let this stabilize. Uh what was everyone’s opinion on the day? The car that struck the fan on the other day. The other day, fans fault, driver’s fault. Just good hard racing. Just good hard racing. He was on a breakaway. Um, I think the fan probably got in the way. The the fan the fans are way too close on the side of the road and just a little quick bump. And I mean, yeah, you don’t want to hit someone, but Marcel’s asking, can mass? Uh, yeah, Marcel, I thought he could. I thought he was gone. Uh, he’s been caught by two riders right now. So, he’s with Perry Pontra, the other brother. Uh, this is Valentine Perry Ponra and Ben Healey. In fact, they have now just shed Enrich Moss. I believe he’s not showing up with them anymore. That means he’s probably a second behind them, maybe two. He’s going to have to dig really deep for Oastar uh to try to do something special for them today. Yeah. Announcing the replay, Ben Healey attacks. Perry Ponch goes, they did like a onew combo and Mass in the middle just went straight back. It’s like they were accelerating. It looked like 50 mph and mass wasn’t even moving. Uh, so I don’t know if they said something to each other like, “Let’s go.” But watch the replay later when you can. I’ll try to show you something. Uh, Don say nothing hurts my feelings more than when I am climbing up a hill as fast as I can and folks are passing that. Don, that’s why I stay inside. Yeah, Tika. Uh, Matthew Vanderpole is out. He left. He didn’t even start today’s stage. Uh, who’s this? ECBC. You think Arensman’s going to win? I thought Aaron had a good chance today, but not anymore. He’s gone. Uh, and I’m watching the replay. Yonas putting another dig in here. I think they’re catching Aaron now. They went past him. Campon Arts is blown. Yonas is attacking like a beast. 32k an hour. Pogy just stuck to his rear wheel. Yonas stopped doing all the work. That’s all I can say. Uh, Jack Toner here. new dude. Uh, love from east coast of Canada. Love the commentary, dude. Thank you so much, brother. Jack, I don’t get to the east coast enough. I haven’t been to Newfaland. I went to Newfaland when I think I was like 19 or 20 years old. Uh, Gander, Newfaland. I hung out in Grand is Great Falls. Great Falls. Grand Falls. I worked out of a hotel room there, a motel room there for about three months fixing seismic cables when I was a kid. Um, okay. Oliver saying I I have to pronounce J at the end. Okay. I you know what? I’ll go on Google afterwards and get the full pronunciation. Yonas looking back at Tatty here. Pog. Okay. I’m just going to call him Pogy for now. Big Daddy. Daddy. Okay. Uh, Evard Sprinter ride. What do I call auto boost to the finish on these types of stages? Oh, yeah. They’re way behind. Uh so the auto boost right now the grouped 98 riders back there guys. They are 17 minutes almost 17 minutes back. I think only and Lipoitz are riding together I believe. So I think this is a replay of them the double combo attack on Enrich Mass earlier. Yeah. Replay. Perry Pont goes on the right side. Uh then Ben Healey went oh that must be that was strange. That didn’t look like a replay actually. Well it I’ll have to figure that out. Perry Pon attacking hard. Ben Healey just hanging on here. Enrich Mass riding solo. Gets a little question mark above his name. Two seconds back. Enrich Mass is right there. Oh, Ben Healey and Perry Pon are fighting like they’re going for the yellow jersey. And it’s the final stage. It’s attack after attack after attack. It’s just who can maintain it the longest. They’re currently 2.3 kilometers to the finish. Uh up ahead, guys, we will see the uh Tommy Simpson memorial on the right hand side of the road. Uh and I did want to say this earlier, there is another memorial there. Guys, you know what I should do right now? I should do this. Uh let’s see if I can do this for you. I’m going to do this here. I’m going to come over to this one. Spectate. And I shouldn’t have done that because it’s going to be very very slow probably to reload right now. Here. I’m just going to go to climb finders that reloads. Yeah, maybe there’s some data issues there. I’m just trying to So, we are currently somewhere up in here. Uh, they will pass the Tommy Simpson Memorial. There’s another memorial right there. There’s another memorial right there for a guy named It looks like his name is Pierre. This guy right here, the G Pier Kramer. This story is actually mind-blowing to me, guys. I will get back to the race here. Looks like I can’t get this loaded right now. So, I don’t want to show you that. But this Pier Kramer guy was basically an a long distance rider, an oddax rider, unsupported. They say non-competitive. These races are competitive, but they’re like 600 km, 800 km. Uh I think like what would be like Perry Tours or Perry Breast Paris, I think is the other one called. Um and that’s what he did. And he was really good at it. Uh he found, this story is going to blow your mind. He found out he was that he had terminal cancer when he was 53 years old. He’s younger than me. He’s younger than me. Uh he wanted to do one last ride. This this gets even weirder. Um he rode at the mom too. When the road stopped and there was snow, he laid down in the snow and they found him there, passed away. So they’ve erected a memorial. So uh after the Tommy Simpson memorial, which will probably be on TV and even if you don’t you can’t see it on TV. Uh I’m busy here. I’m looking at three screens. I’m I’ll probably miss it. Just up the road by like another 100 meters, there’s a memorial that no one talks about. Uh and it’s where this guy went to do his final ride. So, respect to him. They’re now inside the barriers here. And wow, Enrich Mass here is looks like he’s trying to come back up. Enrich Mass is now back, guys. Wow. Santiago Bago is flying upwards. Must have picked up Enrich Mass and they’ve all came back together now with Perry Pontra and Ben Healey. Unbelievable. Then the Alfalipe group. Alfippe still pounding out the the pedals, folks. Van Wilder and Alfa Phippe still going for it. Uh then we got Tatty and Bingo riding solo. The camera’s mostly on the front four now. The fact that Enrich Mass came back there, unbelievable. Uh, who’s the first rider behind Tatty and uh, Yonas? It’s our man Primos Rogic, the guy that everyone wanted him to retire and disappear. Look at he’s right here, guys. Uh, unbelievable. So, here we go, folks. The the probably the Tommy Simpson memorial is probably somewhere right in here. Here’s our front group. We have four riders. Second group, Wilder and Alfleap. Here is Pogy and Vingo sticking together the whole way. Group four on the road is Primos. Shout out to the old guy. Shout out to the old guy being pursued by uh Florian Lipoitz and Oscar only. Sixth group on the road, Kevin Vocalon, Tobias Johansson, Sergio Heg, Garcia Pia, and uh Lechnesend. So this is eighth place overall. Vocalon’s fifth place overall. Uh the only rider the rider that’s really uh lost position today will be the decathlon rider Felix Gaul because he’s nowhere to be seen. Um unless his transponder’s off. Guys, I’m just going to sit here with the dots on. So if you can see it on TV, look for the Tommy Simpson memorial. Look for the other dude’s memorial to uh Pierre Kramer. I’m going to try to do something else here on the sidelines if I can. Uh as we’re doing this, ah we can do it. can do it. I’m hoping it’s going to jump in here for me leading group Ben Healey. I don’t know how much we’re going to see here only because there’s one right here’s Van Wilder now. I’m not seeing Alfa Phippe uh is saying he’s there, but I’m not sure if he is. Here’s Tatty catching those guys. I’m actually in by terror right now, guys. Trying to figure this. Looks like Tatty’s taking the lead over Yonas now. And on screen, they’re just picking up uh Alfalipe here. 1.2. Let me see where we’re at on screen. In reality, uh we are currently We’re getting very close to Mort. Yeah. So, we’re 800 meters to go to the finish. Yonas attacking again. Yonas attacks again just to see what Tatty’s got left in them. Uh they must be at just about a kilometer to go. Enrich Mass couldn’t go with the front group. So there’s three of them there now. So BRGO did an incredible job to get back on here. Uh they’re through the 1 km barrier here on screen. Mass is out the back again. Uh great ride for Mass. Whatever they do today, Moistar kind of this is their redemption for the tour right here. Hion sitting on the front again with uh Pagachar here. Primos is one minute back riding solo. Then we’re going to bounce back to the white jersey. Lipowitz and Oscar only. Kevin Valon. Five riders here. Johansson Higguida Lechnesend and Garcia Perna. Uh then it’s 14 minutes back to the green jersey group. So it’s the elite of the elite at the front today guys. Uh Fel Felix Gaul is going to fall huge I think in the standings. Where was he? He just had a bad day. So this is the kind of thing that uh Vizma is hoping will happen to the tadpole himself. So Felix Gaul was seventh overall right now. I think he’s losing like 10 minutes. I think uh we’re going to figure that out as we go along here, guys. And live tracking. Let’s see if I can get right back to the map here right now, guys. Uh, you know, I’m delayed here slightly. So, I’m gonna have to just watch this coming in here as I see it. And what I’m going to do is I’m going to leave it on here so I can’t see who wins. They basically got one hard bend left. I’m watching it here now. Uh, 600 m to go. 10% grain here. Yeah, I do know. They actually call this the Tempest Pass or something. It’s right at the top. They say the winds are the worst here. Ben Healey. Who’s here? Ben Healey. Van Wilder. Oh, Van Wilder’s here, too. So, he’s been flying up the climb. He was with Alfa Phippe. He’s bridged back onto these guys, too. So, Van Wilder for Sadal. We got Perry Ponch for Sudal. Oo, Sadal’s on a mission today, aren’t they? Uh, right now, guys, they got a 50-50 chance of winning this stage. Uh, Brago and Ben Healey. I’m going to call it as I see it. I’m going to ignore that for now, guys. I’m going to catch up in the chat in a little bit. Oh, we got a Sudal right up front. Ben Healey sitting in second. Less than 500 m, less than 400 m to the summit here. I want to see this all go down. It is 10% through here again. So, we’re back in the steep stuff. We got one more big turn coming up in the future here. Um, Sudal Rider, EF, Sudal Rider, and then the uh Bin Victorious Rider. Just want to see that again. Yep. Is that Emer? That can’t be. Can’t be him. No, it’s not. It’s Brago. Bago Sudal on the front guys. I’m going to stick with this one. I’m not going to look over here. Ben Healey kicking in now. That looks like Pari Pon’s wheel. Van Wilder I think is out the back. I’m just not sure who that is. Bago just holding on in third position right now. Maybe about a 5 m gap, 10 m gap. Ben Healey goes around the final bend here. Ben Healing leading around the final curve. Can he hold all the way? Oh no. Sudal is kicking. I think Sudal is going to get another little win at this tour to France. Here we go. Perry Ponch goes over the top for the win. Almost loses control. Over the top. Ben Healey second. Bago third. And looks like Van Wilder will be fourth. Great finish for this dude. Gets over the final ramp. Coasts across the finish line. Uh further back we got Tatty sprinting now at 250 m out. Tatty sprinting. Yonas holding on. Tatty can hold the power longer than Yonas can. We’re going to see Yonas slowly slip back here. I think it’s maybe a bike length. There’s one last hard little ramp here after this bend and then it levels off on the very top. Uh Tadpole goes past Enrich Mass. Yonas goes past him. They get to the very top. Tatty powers all the way through. Yonas lets off. There’s going to be a time gap there. Probably like a second time gap. Wow, that’s insane. Let’s just bounce back here. So, here we go, guys. This is what I didn’t want to see as I called that Perry Ponch here. Sudal rocks. Great win for them. They’ve actually won a lot of stages this tour, guys. They’re right up there. Sudal. Uh remember, Remco had a win unfortunately at the leave. Tim Merier already has two wins. I believe this is the fourth stage win for Sudal at this tour to France. So, 16 stages, they’ve won 25% of the stages. Think about it that way. Uh Ben Healey gets a second place. Santiago Betrogo here. Awesome stuff. Then Vinyler just came in behind them 14 seconds back. Then it was the sprint two second gap. Yonas should have stayed on his wheel all the way. He was right there and as soon as he saw the finish line, he was like, I’m done. Whereas uh Tadpole sprinted right through. Oh yeah, here he comes guys. So they passed Enrich Mass right before the finish. Alfalipe disappeared. But I didn’t see him finish. But here’s the man himself, Primos. And again, who wanted him to retire. Uh, ninth place, finishing just ahead of Lipoitz. It looked like Primos was actually looking back for Lipoitz. They’re like, “Come on, dude. Let’s go.” Helping him out. Uh, back to the chat, guys. Sorry, I’ I’ve really avoided all this right now. I’m going to have to spin forward a little bit here. Oliver, pronounce E as in Eric and J as in Yonas. Today. Did I just say today? Today. Today. Yeah, he was on his wheel all the way. Uh, guys, 650 people watching. This might be one of the best streams I’ve ever had in my life. Thank you so much, everyone. Jun Basad again. Wait a few minutes. Pogy will spread it. Yeah, he did. What an epic view of uh the Mongol too. Epic. Uh yeah, trying to catch up because I know I’m way behind now. Trying to call it. Oh, I’m like half an hour behind in the chat. I’m sorry everyone. Yeah, Kiml, I’m so happy for Eric uh Enrich Mass. Uh and he did do good. I mean, a seventh place for Moastar on one of the hardest climbs. I mean, yeah, it was just one climb. That’s an awesome showing for them. Uh, I think we’re going to see more of Enrich Mass uh on Thursday and Friday. Oliver, thank you for the pronunciation. Unfortunately, for English speakers, that is very difficult. Yeah, me too. I just like to say daddy or pog. Poggy tadpole. I will go on Google and try to figure out the Sylvanian way to say it later. You can hear Urrisa say his name and then Okay, that’s from Jimmy Gaver. Colin Whittington’s back. He’s from Hong Kong. Sorry, guys. I’m trying to catch up with her now. I was really glued uh to the finish here. Looks like Kevin Valon is coming to the line. He’s got a teammate there right with him helping him. Uh where Felix Gaul is, I don’t know what happened to him today. I didn’t see him. His transponder is not showing up anywhere for me. Uh Wade asks, “Where’s Vanderpole?” Dude, he withdrew. He didn’t start today. He’s got pneumonia apparently. Going to skip ahead a little bit here, guys. Yeah, fantastic win for Sudal. Fantastic. Andrew Mossy saying tad. Just say Taday. Tad A. How about that? Uh yeah, 15 km up 10% gradient. I think it averages out to about like 8% gradient, but there’s huge stretches of like 10% plus. Uh oh, everyone’s having the cherry juice afterwards. Oh, I think his uh partners are on the finish for TED 8. Let’s see the next rankings on today’s stage. There’s Muleberger. He was in that mix. He was a survivor of the Ben Healey group. There’s Aaronman, who I thought had a good chance of winning today. Murice was up front. Maurice is one of the two Alpison riders that bridged all the way across uh and got back to the Ben Healey group. Oscar only looks like he faded a little bit at the end here. I think there’s going to be some changes. Oh, wow. Here he is. Felix Gaul. So, I think there was something wrong with Felix Gal’s transponder because I never saw him. his his number was he was seventh place overall and he finished 17th. I got to think that something wasn’t working right. Um, let me catch up, guys. Let me catch up. Great stuff. I’m going to look at the poll again. Still 55% saying that Pogy still already won it. That’s cool. Uh, well over 600 votes there in the poll today. Yeah, Robert here. Pogy has his girl at the summit. Oh, dude, I love it. Robert’s got the best comment of the day. Robert, Pogy has his girl at the summit. Nice. Probably no laminate floor talk. Yeah, today you got to get home and finish the flooring. I expect the kitchen to be done. Uh, yeah, Ben had a great ride, too. That’s from George Hicks here. Uh, Jacob Curly. Roglitch is riding great. I think a third place GC. Dude, that’s what I’m thinking, too. I think Florian and Primos can work together to try to get third and fourth place. Who’s going to have it? I don’t know. Uh, today I saw Primos looking back at uh, Lipoitz at the finish like looking back like guiding them like as the team, the road captain uh, right in that final ramp. So, Florian did a great job too. Here’s the final classification. I’m going to read this from here. So for today, Perry Ponch, Ben Healey, Brago, Van Wilder, Podakar, Vingigo, Enrich Mass, Julian, Primos, Rodlick, and Florian Lipoitz. Top 10 there, folks. Uh, what I will do here is let’s go to the general ranking individual. Is this today? Oh, wow. Here we go, folks. Things have changed. Uh, yeah. So, I’m going to guess that Felix Gaul’s transponder was not working at all today. Or maybe it was. Let’s have a look. So, he is finished. Felix, I’m going to go back to this one here, guys. Uh, I want to see where he says he finished 14 minutes back. That can’t be right. Next rankings. So there’s Yonas, Tatty, Florian, Primos, Muielberger. Where did Felix finish? So it’s he finished 17 minutes back. Sorry, 17th place at 333 back. So there was no way. I couldn’t even find him in the green jersey group. So I knew he was floating around somewhere. I just had no idea where. Uh Rodick has moved up and Ben Healey has moved up one. Felix actually remained same. Uh Tobias Johansson remained in eighth place. Let’s go look at that now. Now that I’m confirming that over there, here’s your general ranking individual. Tatty picked up two seconds on uh Yonas there uh because he finished just ahead of him. Florian sits in third. Oscar’s in fourth. Kevin Valon drops one and Primos moves up. So guys, impressive. Uh, Red Bull Bora has Borah’s grow has two riders in the top five. Then Kevin Vawan has fallen to sixth place. Felix Gaul did stay in seventh. So he finished three and a half minutes behind but held his position. Tobias Johansson has held eighth. Ben Healey has flipped spots with Carlos Rodriguez there. So, and he got a big lead back because at the start of the day, Carlos only led by, I think, 20 seconds over Ben. Now, Ben’s almost 3 minutes ahead of Carlos Rodriguez again. So, they’re fighting for these top 10 positions. Don’t think they aren’t. Uh, so we’re going to see Carlos and Inos come back out uh probably on stages 18 and 19 and try to take something back from him. If you look at this closely too, look at the gap between Primos in fifth and Oscar in uh fourth place. It’s 38 seconds. Do you think Primos is satisfied with fifth? I don’t. Then uh and there’s a huge gap. Look at the gap between Kevin and uh Okay, not as big as I thought. I thought it said 18 minutes at first. Uh looks like that’s 1320 back and Primos is 1142 back. So there there is something to play for there as well. Yonas, give him credit, attacked, attacked, attacked, attacked, and looked good all the way. Tatty just sat on uh and countered every move. Not saying Tatty didn’t do anything. He just sat on. Let Yonas go. I’m going to follow you all the way. Um yeah, that’s fantastic, guys. Awesome stuff here. Awesome stuff. Today or today? For today? Exactly. I’m just going to say I’m going to say today then. Uh what a great climb. And the Clims pull back five plus minutes over 15 km. Leapit stays in white for now. Yep. Brett Rogers. I’m just happy that Vizma tried. That’s all we need to be honest to see our heroes make an attempt at greatness and then the effort they achieve it. Yeah, dude. He went really hard there. They all did. Lots of great attacks today. And guys, this is the e this is the easy day out of these three days. This is the easy one. So, let me just come back here for a second. We’re going to look at the MBON 2 profile. Uh it’s 15.7 km at 8.8%. So it a good steep average 15.7 km. Now what we’ll do is let’s jump to Thursday. Look at this day longer. 21 km. So it’s 5 km longer less gradient. F. But that’s just the taste for the day. And we’ve been climbing all before that. all the way climbing before that. Remember this 21 kilometers is from probably somewhere in here. They’ve you forget about all this climb here that attacks could be going off. Then we have the call to mataline 19.2 km at almost 8%. So it’s a little bit less average but another 5 km longer. And then we’ve got uh cold deotes HC climb finish uh 26.4 4 km at 6.5%. So if you saw that carnage, you can imagine what’s going to happen on Thursday. And then we’ll bump to Friday. Another tough one. Super short stage, only 129 km. Uh again, climbing right from the get-go. Category 2, category 1, HC climb. Uh another category 2 finishing up with Lela, 19.1 km, 7.2. If you blow up on any of these, yeah, it could all be over. Um, something I want to see too withdrawals. I want to know. Okay, so they just have Vanderpull out there. I don’t know if poor Gashinard still out there. Is Gashinard still out there, guys? I really want to know what that Yeah. Here’s the broom wagon live tracking. Is anyone still there? The broom wagon’s finishing. So, is that the actual broom wagon moving there? Yeah, they didn’t actually say anything about it. Go back to the race here and see if we got any comments. Yeah, Perry Ponch. Yeah, he had a huge sprint at the finish there against Healey. Here it is. That’s how close it was. Super close. arms in the air celebrating. Uh yeah, still no word about Gashinard. Here’s some from X. Might get to see I don’t know if this is just a still shot. Yeah, it’s just a still. Nothing exciting here. That was when the two Sudal riders were there. Santiago Brago and Ben Healey all together. Guys, what an awesome stage. What an awesome stage. My coffee was warm the whole day today. Uh yeah, that was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic stage winner there. Um oh wow, Cole Kane comes in at the last second and just lights up my chat with tremendous support, dude. Thank you so much. Uh Cole, we’ve missed you. We haven’t seen you in a few days. I’m just going to finish up these chats, you guys. Uh Orta Guerreras, Yahoo, bro. I’m cheering for today and Yonas when they are chasing those in front. Yeah, me too, man. There’s always there’s always a chase going on that you can cheer for. There’s always a guy getting away that you can cheer for. Uh it doesn’t have to just be the yellow jersey. Uh I love when the chasers are getting after them. I love when the guys up front are trying to stay away. It’s so hard. Uh yeah, Brett saying the easy day. I love the tour. Yeah, guys, the two next tomorrow is going to be more of a it’s designed for sprinters. I maybe I’ll try to show you that quickly. The route tomorrow. Um, where are we tomorrow? This one. Boline to Valance here. Looks like a sprint day, but it still looks pretty hard. Sprinters are going to be going nuts for the first 50k. Breakaways are going to form over these category 4 climbs, try to escape on the downhill, jump over the final category 4 climb, and then try to race to the finish. So, that could very well be an exciting stage, too. Then Thursday and Friday are going to be even more insane than this. Gonna read through the chat. Uh Don here. If Primos gets third place and Floren gets fourth. Yeah. Uh I could see Red Bull their goal now is third and fourth place. Cole again. Thanks for the excellent commentary. Appreciate it. See you all tomorrow. Thanks again. Uh Cole, really appreciate your tremendous support of the channel. Cole’s absolutely killing it here for me. Uh Inside Cycling World. Love there and like. Thank you so much, dude. Really appreciate it. Uh, Swoosh Kid, what happened with Matteo? Uh, another awesome stream, Colin. Thanks. Uh, Matteo was in that front group and he bombed out right at the start of the climb. He actually tried to lead out Julian to give him a head start. He’s a bigger dude. He’s not expected to be on those climbs. Uh, so he pulled out, gave Julian the head start. We heard the race radio to Alfipe, and then Alfa Phippe lit it up. So, where did Ala Phalippe finish eventually? Let’s see this. Uh, okay. That’s not today. That’s not the stage rank. It’s just going to do this quick. Alfaloop got eighth place overall. Really good for tutor. All these they get points for the stages, guys, too. Like all they get UCI points. I don’t know what they pay down to, but like a stage at a big stage race might be 60 points. I think the tour to France, I think if they win it, they get I think it was,00 or maybe 1,200 UCI points. An individual stage might be 60 or 80 points. And there’s obviously going to be points for the other guys. Uh I’m just not sure what place it does pays down to. A big one day race, you might get 300 points, 400 points. Just depends which race it is. Is it a monument? Uh any predictions for stage 18 and 19? I think G has a chance to win one of those. Yeah. And I’m sorry guys, I had no idea where he was. What is funny though, I did see a Decathlon writer one time and I’m like, who is that? He just never showed up today in the transponders at all. So, I didn’t actually know where he was. I couldn’t piece it together at the time. Uh, Jacob, thanks. So much fun as usual. See you all tomorrow. Yeah, thanks, Jacob. Thanks for being here with us and hanging out. Uh, Dawn, rooting for cycling. Hoping the sports get more popular. Yeah, this should be the biggest sport in in the world to me, like the stuff. You get to see the attacks. They’re doing a replay here of an attack Tatty put in on the final stretches and I thought really good that Yonas could pull it back. But every attack that Yonas made, Tatty never let it get big. Wow. Yonas is standing and Tatty basically can sit and pull himself back on. He can develop enough power and then over the top when they passed Enrich Mass at the very end. Pretty heroic effort by Enrich Mass. As soon as they got to the flat, Yona shut her down. Tatty powered through. picked up two more seconds. Uh Kim Lel, love your commentary. I’m subscribed. Thank you so much, Kim. Everyone being here is great. Don’t forget guys, uh this continues on till Sunday. Uh the women’s tour to France FeX Swift starts Saturday. Uh no matter what happens, I will be starting the women’s coverage on Monday morning. So if you guys want to watch that, too, that’d be really fun. Lots of celebrations at the finish here. It looks like an EF rider uh you know congratulating uh Perry Ponch. They must have been teammates somewhere in the past. Uh obviously not on the same teams right now. Yeah, yellow jersey stuff. All the celebrations are going to be at the top and then they got to get off this mountain and move on with the tour. Um thank you Willie. He says great streamer. Appreciate it. Thank you too, Kim. Uh see you tomorrow calling this week. I am rooting for Pogy. Poggy Poggy. Next week I’ll be rooting for Demi. Demi Demi. Oh yeah, dude. It’s going to be so much fun next week. I can’t wait. Uh I’m really looking forward to getting like right in deep diving into women’s cycling. Uh there’s so much going on. I did watch a lot of the Jirro Don. I thought that was really exciting. Uh and I’m trying to find other stuff to watch right now. Hank Bohan here. Thanks for another great cover of the tour. You’re welcome, guys. Uh, you guys make this happen for me. I’m going to jump off now, guys, uh, and start my day. And I got to get on my bike right away or else I got a feeling I’m not going to ride at all. So, uh, again, thanks for everyone being here. I’ll get the hair even crazier tomorrow and we’ll go from there. And hot coffees all around. Okay, guys. Thanks for watching. and see you soon.
