Join us for our FIRST EVER RACE VLOG!
It doesn’t get any bigger in cycling – heck, the world of sport – than the Tour de France, and guess what? We were leading the damn thing! Come along for a BTS with myself (regrettably nicknamed Harry the truck) and Jacob on our first day leading the general classification with our Irish superstar, Ben the Butcher!
TDF Skinsuit draw will be done August 15, 2025

Look back and I’m better than ever. I think I got a vendetta. Oh, now they call me Iena. All of those times getting I told them all of Let’s go. Welcome back. We’re at the tour to France. It’s been a minute. Oh my god. Here we are. And what’s that? What’s that over there? That’s it. The the the yellow jersey bike. We’re actually leading the tour to France if you’ve uh had your TV off and uh there’s thousands of fans here. So, hope you have a nice day watching. Yeah, I’m going to be living the dream, man. Yeah, I’m living my dream as well. Palace today. I’m Neilson. Does that mean that you can go around the course today? Means I can ride. Yeah. What do we got here? Cafe for breakfast. few hundred kjs today. I think today actually won’t be a crazy hard stage. It’ll be like a hard breakaway formation maybe. Um I feel like a lot of teams are going to try and us over. Uh you can beat that out. And uh yeah, the last climb is going to be like 2 minutes 700 W if I can stay there. What do you reckon of the Ben Healey fan? This is Can I show you? I sent Ben I sent Ben a photo. Did he show you? How was the stage the other day? like how apart from being hard, how was it? Did you have fun out there? I did have fun out there. I the directors told me to calm down about 20 times on the radio. Uh but, you know, it’s one of those things where like a perfect storm came together and uh we had four riders in the break and possibility to take yellow. So, yeah, I pretty much uh just rode as hard as I could for the whole day until I blew and uh yeah, Ben finished it off and we have yellow. Yeah, you can’t ask for much more really. Like, no, I actually I’m just happy that the first episode that we’ve ever done at a race is just leading the tour to France. Like, it just doesn’t get any higher than this, you know? No, you would. You honestly can’t dream this really. As we were saying, like 5 years ago, never would have thought. Never would have happened. But no, do you want to give an insight to the numbers that you did because you told me pretty ridiculous? Yeah. Now I did uh I did 10 minutes about 470 480 to kick off the break and then uh I did 3 hours 400 normalized and I think I had I think in total 30 minutes above 530 for the day. Solid. So it was a hard and and what did you eat? How many? Well, I ate 160 an hour and I had 600 mg of caffeine plus my morning coffee. Every every time I felt the legs, I just banged it. Yeah. Yeah. Every time I felt my legs, I just banged another one. And uh yeah, I didn’t sleep until like 1:00 a.m. But it’s all right. Rest day. You didn’t even have to worry about it. That’s the price of things, isn’t it? Yeah. But look what we got now. Not so bad, eh? And Ben, nickname Ben. Ben the butcher. What do we think, chat? Ben the butcher and Harry the truck. I’m all I’m on Jamie and Harry the truck. I’m back inside. I don’t I don’t know if it really works, but bro, there’s this guy that works at the Repzole service station in Poo Cha and he’s here to watch. That guy always say, “Yeah.” Yeah. No, dude. He He’s here to watch. But the best bit is the other day I was out on the moto with Jez and he was like, “Who is this? Is this dad?” And I was like, “No, bro. He’s my coach. Yeah, exactly. So, yeah, going to going to fight for this jersey now. Typical chilled out or he’s got a hot head on him. Bit of both, you know. depends on the day you bump into him, but he’s he’s an awesome guy. He’s my roommate this tour, so he’s keeping well entertained, that’s for sure. Two, stage 11. We’re already halfway through. That’s crazy. It’s crazy in Paris. The This morning we was funny yesterday and today were the first days where I woke up and I was like, this is what I remember the tour to France feeling like. Because until now it’s sort of been like sprint day, hard day, sprint day in between, like never really all out, all out. And now it’s really begun, you know. Now it’s a little bit like fatigue in the way to the stage. Yeah, it’s about to get really good, you know. Let’s go. [Music] I think that can probably be the hook for the YouTube video. Clickbait right here, you know. It’s actually a fake yellow jersey. Yeah, I’m just dreaming right now. [Music] The engine, mate. He’s got 98 diesel. It’s like good quality diesel in that thing. Your best numbers? Uh, I did 400 normalized for 3 hours. Okay, cool. Um, and checks out. Checks out. Yeah, it was pretty. My power meter was not rating high. No, it was But when I was pulling like most of the time was like 550. Yeah. No, it was 500 on the wheel. That’s why I got ejected. That’s why I got dropped. Yeah. Thank you. [Music] I’ll see you after the stage. All right. Hopefully she’s a good one. Yeah, hold on to that jersey. [Music] All right, that was aer of a day. Oh, I thought it would be bad that [ __ ] sprint stage my ass. [ __ ] Yeah. What’s sprint be? Pretty fast. No, that’s how they what what what they normally like. Oh, you know what’s amazing to me is when project car crashes and then he’s back in the bunch in like 1 minute. They set up. Hey, they set up at the front. Yeah, they stop riding. How are you? How do you control a stage like this one? But the question is not uh not answer is not very easily. Uh yeah, you know, I think uh we did our best to control in the beginning, but then to be honest, I think guys just wanted to race the whole day. It wasn’t even when there was control, guys were attacking in the dirt. They were going up the gutters and yeah, I think we did everything that we could, but in the end it was just one of those days where you just ride as hard as you can and hope that it’s enough, you know, and uh yeah, I don’t think we I think to be honest, I think we did quite a good job. Like as a team, we were there when we needed to be and often there was times where Remco and Tad were both isolated in groups behind. So yeah, we we did just enough. How was it to be in a yellow jersey in a team of a yellow jersey on this stage? I think I enjoyed it more in the beginning before the racing started. After that, it was uh it was hard day. One more day though. One more day in yellow tomorrow. Yeah. And maybe more. It depends how good he is. Uh I think they’re not limiting him and uh yeah, also the white jerseys there as well, but yeah, I think uh we can be pretty happy with how we’ve done so far. Going to the bridge. Yeah, thank you. Thanks. Yeah, it was uh Did you drop him to the bottom of that climb like you said you were going to or I T and I nearly crashed into each other. Did you see that on the live? No, I missed it. I looked back to swing off cuz I was like about to leg walk and I turned around. I turned this way to look. He came around the outside and I was doing my [Applause] [Music] Great. Good to know. Yeah. Oh, good. Hey, this is for you, huh? He needs to give it to Who? You got one for the one for she, one for the dog. One for him. Like this. They are jealous. Exactly. And you’re the white one. Thank you. You’re welcome, man. I died a thousand deaths coming back from that punisher today. Like the group split in half and Ben was behind. Did you see it on TV? No, I missed it. So, we’re like riding flat out up this climb and I was like, “Well, we’re a bit far back here and then over the top I was with Ben and it split and it was just like the Pelaton in half like 10 seconds. Started riding flat out. Then I called the boys back and we were like chopping off. Tad was behind, Vanderpool behind. So, we were riding with UA like rolling through like 600 700 miles. We get Ben back. As soon as we get back, rear wheel puncture and then I’m standing on the side of the road cuz obviously it’s single file and I reckon I waited like 30 seconds for the car and then paced all the way back like flat out and then I got back and then it it started attacking again. I was just like what’s in the burrito? We got a bit of chicken rice. Looks pretty good. Nice. Done you solid. And then what’s this? What’s this book here? It’s from a fan. The main protagonist named Harry Sweeney apparently. There you go. Take a load off, Mr. Sweeney, and sit yourself down. My t. I was like, I’m always going to be safe here. And then I didn’t think we went that hard up it. But you see, there was boys that were just pinned, you know? Yeah. That’s that was a problem cuz I was like just behind Yonas and Yonas jumped across and I was like, “Oh, I’ll be fine.” [ __ ] it, man. Yonas was following you around all day today. Yeah, I was following him. Ben whacked it in the crosses and Yonas was looking around for his team and he had no one. So, he’s like, “Got to make him squirt while I can.” So, I’ll be squirting in the mountains. Yeah. It’s all good fun, is it? What’s tomorrow like? Big what? I didn’t even check. Yeah, cam though. Flat for like I don’t know. I want to say like 60k. Big mountain. Little descent. Little mountain. Big descent. Hard cam. Yeah. Right. Have a look toward France. Now Tad’s crashed. I reckon you are going to go full gas tomorrow. Yeah, man. He was That was a big Have you seen the video of it? His [ __ ] hard crack. I was looking at him after. He ising cut up as well, you know? Like really bad. Yeah. Oh, left eye. 3,850. Sleep in the bed after sleeping. There we go. 13k at something something ridiculous. It’s actually a step descent as well. Oh, that one. Yeah. Pinned to his C today. He dropped the wheel and Ben had to close the gap back to the boys. He was like like 10 bins in there and he’s like, “Go on, go on, go on, go.” Bang. Are we rolling? Yeah, we’re rolling. Thanks for watching everyone. Uh, that’s a wrap on a day in the life of the tour to France. Hope you enjoyed. Jacob and I have a a skin suit with some race numbers on it to give away from the tour to France. So, drop us a comment down below. I don’t know. Just anything. It doesn’t matter. It’s always random. So, drop a comment and you might win a skin suit. Thank you. Ciao. Nice [Music] healing.
