Following-up to this post we got the pedals and accessories and got to release my Grizl into the wild for a ride along the Moselle. It was a super fun ride on both tarmac and gravel.
A few thoughts on the cockpit and accessrories after the ride:
- The full-mount cockpit is super practical: I was able to attach multiple mounts, so I had my light, GoPro and Snack Pouch set up without any issue.
- I’m a bit unsure about the proprietary cockpit bag. It has a pretty small capacity, but I can fit my iPhone 15 inside, which is convenient. On top, it also serves as a mount for my Garmin computer, which is practical. That said, anything larger than the iPhone 15 probably wouldn’t fit inside the bag.
- I’m having a bit of trouble with the "LOAD FidLock QuickLoader" (the downtube bag made for the Grizl) the rear of the bag keeps popping loose even after adjusting the connection points. It doesn’t fall off completely, but it’s a bit annoying.
We took the train back, and I was super anxious the whole time that someone might lay their giant e-bike on top of her and cause damage (has happened to me before with my other bike😬).
Already planning our next adventure: a multi-day trip through the Black Forest. Can’t wait to see how she performs fully loaded!
