This video is the 7th in a series of 8 that follows our journey this past summer along the Rhine River from its source in the Swiss Alps near Andermatt to the North Sea in Amsterdam. These videos are made in a POV style to allow the viewer to preview the riding along this route.
This 1000km+ journey makes its way through six countries Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France and the Netherlands. It follows mostly dedicated bike lanes and trails on the Eurovelo 15.
This 7th Episode covers a long section of the Eurovelo 15 from Duisburg, Germany to Arnhem/Oosterbeek, Holland. This ride takes you through the borderlands between Germany and Holland along dykes and dedicated bike pathways. One highlight was Xanten, Germany, which had a beautiful central square. We also enjoyed cycling through Arnhem and over ‘The Bridge Too Far’ and camping at Oosterbeek, which has a beautiful spot along the Rhine.
We rented our bikes through racefeitstehuur.nl and had our bikes delivered to Andermatt and outfitted us with bikepacking gear and a chariot to carry our camping gear. We highly recommend his services.
