In Limone on Lake Garda, the first section of the Garda cycle path was inaugurated in 2018, along the slope of Lake Garda, a project that will connect with a long and unique cycle path touching 19 locations in Lake Garda, giving life to the longest cycle path in Europe.
The Garda cycle path starts in Limone and can be traveled both by bike and on foot, paying close attention.
This promenade overlooking Lake Garda is a real cycle path, although for now, for its short length, it is recommended to do more on foot than by bicycle, in this case at a maximum speed of ten kilometers per hour. In addition, precisely because of the amount of people who walk around it every day, it is difficult to maintain a fast ride.
The cycle path that remains suspended on the waters of Lake Garda for about two and a half kilometers can be traveled starting from Limone center because there are no parking near the promenade, or rather there are only ten parking spaces on the western gardesana, so very few compared to the number of people each day reach this cycle path.
The road nestled between the mountain close to the waters of Lake Garda is really very suggestive to travel and the whole complex built is a beautiful example of engineering.
The width of the road is 2.5 metres and the floor is made with concrete panels lined with a slatted finish.
The Limone cycle path can be traveled in total safety enjoying a unique spectacle overlooking the waters of Lake Garda and on the other side with the rock.
