Look at this. One of the contrasts in the tour to France here. Just a few hundred meters away from the start podium. We have a beach. Not a lot of people. And they are basically just enjoying the French summer. And these people, they don’t really care about the race at all. And this silence that you can feel here in Salo, the starting area of stage seven in the tour to France, is actually very typical for any kind of race that happens in the world. These people are here for another reason that is not the tour to France. And just if you walk out just those few hundred meters outside of the area where all the energy is, you can feel the serenity of this beautiful landscape that we have here in this side of France. Luckily, even in Salo, there are signs that are so hard to deny. So hard to deny even for tourists who do not care about the tour of France. On this beautiful morning in July, there are flags, there are shops selling specific tour to France and cycling related things. And that is ultimately what makes the tour the tour.
