In a chaotic climax to stage 11 of the Tour de France in Toulouse, Tadej Pogacar crashed at speed before remounting to finish.
Pogačar’s crash came with 6km to race after he touched the rear wheel of Abrahamsen’s teammate Tobias Johannessen and crashed on his left side, before sliding into the kerb. “I’m a bit beaten up, but we’ve been through worse days,” Pogačar said after the finish.

[Music] Everybody. Oh, there’s a big crash. Oh, huge crash. And the world champion is down. Pagatcha hits the deck. A massive crash of the world champion. Now he needs some help. The neutral service is there. There’s a little bit of P everybody. Oh, there’s a big crash. Oh, huge crash. And the world champion is down. Pagatcha hits the deck. A massive crash of the world champion. Now he needs some help. The neutral service is there. There’s a little bit of panic in Pagacha right now. He’s not inside. There’s no sprint zone. Pagatcha gets going now. He’s got Narv waiting for him there, but he needs to come back. He’s going to use these riders. He’s got another rider in that group as well. And the race is on. And they won’t wait for the world champion. Look at the scars on Pagotaa. You don’t see him crash very often. Number one, the defending champion now in a race against time. I don’t know what happened, Nico. Let’s have a look. Oh, touched Jorgensson’s wheel. Big crash. Oh, and he hit the curb not too hard. This race is so on right now. There is going to be mistakes and that’s a massive massive problem there for the world. Off him on the right hand side and on the left hand side, Johannes. You see they’re moving across to the right to follow the move of Onley Vocal and Van Wa and Pagatcha. He goes down crashing on his left side pretty hard. Uh and we’ll see the overhead shows a bit more clearly. Pagatcha is on the radio or something and he’s going left because his teammate Navas is left. So his mind is going left, not to the right with that jumping phase. He’s going to expect Narvias to close it. But because he doesn’t have both hands on the handlebars when Johannes hits his hand. So Johannes does chop him. He clo there was no need to go that close to his front wheel and it’s a race incident. Pagata said that himself on social media after the race. Uh it was just but it was a few factors you know him being on the radio. Navvice maybe stuffing up the control. The GC group waits ahead and Pagata does come back but how will this crash impact the rest of the race and we’ve got three big mountain stages coming not what he would have wanted. Abrahamson wins ahead of Schmidt and Vulnerable Dean Laurance right Burgo Simmons Ballerini rounding out the top 10 in terms of GC Healey keeps the yellow jersey 29 seconds ahead of Pagatcha Vingard still 1 minute 20 a drift of Pagatcha so how to camp tomorrow big stage Agent.
