The Great British Divide contines with day 3 and 4 riding from Oswetry on the welsh borders to littleborough. The day starts out mainly on rolling roads before hitting the bigger peaks on the Pennine way. The is the best bikepacking event in the UK

[Music] seem I made a buddy go away come back go home go on back I just started this section I’ve only been riding for maybe 10K here nice Canal we’re suddenly not going down that Toe Path okay okay what’s been happening yest afternoon was diabolical um rained all afternoon a heavy rain everything was wet everything was covered in oh jeez love GE um everything was covered in sheep excrement I just didn’t want to drink anything from my bottle I was getting dehydrated I was wet I was absolutely freezing so stayed in uh Travel Lodge overnight I’m feeling good now uh lost quite a bit of time I don’t not racing anyway I just want to get to the end um yeah it was just the last 21k yesterday I mean normally take hour hour and a bit took me 3 and 1 half hours it’s just axle deep um puddles Slippery Rock just the course was punishing but it was fun but so cold all right go left anyway we’re rolling now today should be mainly Road quite quiet back Lanes like [Music] this not great deal to see on this uh section here just roads with big Hedges can’t really even see into the uh Fields obviously I’m using world problems while I’m going along just changing gear and on my Garin I could see some water but I couldn’t see the actual water cuz the Hedge was in the way and I couldn’t work out whether it was a large pond or a small Lake and that’s bugging me now I don’t know the cut off where’s the cut off between uh you know up on the lake o gravel all right 10 to 12 and first bit of well second bit of offroad today longer bit the other one was just forward for this rickety Old Bridge here over a rather Mankey looking Pond [Applause] uh it’s been fast going today take me down this is too tricky [Music] [Music] bit of a change uh from the road fing along a nice Canal nice lock here we go [Music] after a nice gentle right down the toe path there you go I wouldn’t want to swim in there it’s a horrible Brown CL up there carry my bike up that oh this side I hope it’s not through there soz looks a little bit overgrown so after coming up those steps there there’s another Canal up here [Music] well wasn’t expecting that there another one doing gardening over there don’t know what they’re for I’ve not seen anything this hill has just gone on and I don’t know I’m whispering I don’t think they can hear me no we’re all good quite rolling today still Whispering it’s been quite rolling today nothing too bad but this last Hill don’t know it’s called The Castle I don’t actually know where we are I don’t know what these strange people are doing in me there been loads of them I haven’t filmed all of them I’m not an expert but I don’t think that’s an official speed camera could be wrong I think that’s just a bubble hat in a bush there’s another one over there another one up there um action man holding a guitar in the big man hello the has changed quite a bit uh it’s c p three these are proper Ro Hills here this last hour has been up and down the long time um all good going to a little town here that’s quite nice terrain has changed again it’s it’s become a lot more kind of ice cated here um the hills are more rolling and to get all the rocky [Music] outcrops I’m snickering just rode out of town uh where I had some uh very nice FL egg and obviously it’s got egg in it cheese and cheese onion it was an onion flying H now I just cheese rolled as well there quite a lot of cheese in the the meal it’s quite nice anyway just come up the hill now we got to go out there I’m guessing it’s an old grow way so what was on top of the bridge it’s the pen9 bridal way here we go Sun’s just about going down starting to bit chilly [Music] 609 it’s another 4 hours maybe let’s see just got to the end of the stage and all good A little cafe thing here it’s all closed but we’ve left the toilets open which is good a couple of kilos lighter now cows are on the way home very orderly right let’s crack on with the next section beautiful evening Sun’s come out people ask me why do I do this I mean look at that the trails all to yourself sheep that was a really bad place to get the camera out but just riding along there’s no one else around just great [Music] [Music] the trail seems to be covered in rhubarb way down there way down it I have a crumble later all it’s getting away it’s quite steep so fun had to end at some point just come through this Old disused Railway Bridge it’s just stunning around here but I think the riding’s come to an end got go up there that’s not ridable not sure think it’s even ridable if I didn’t have all this kit on so looks like it’s quite a long push at this quite large [Music] Hill 8:00 and the Sun is going down it start to get chilly soon but it’s still quite warm still putting the arm Wars up and down anything else to say we are right on top of the darer DS and just got to this peak had to push all the way up this hill it’s long grass all the way Rocky look at that everyone going about their daily lives little [Music] towns starting to get a bit Misty not too bad it’s not too chilly there’s no real um Woods or anything up here so I might just stop it’s only half n but if I see anything good I’ll just stop and Camp there for the night this is a very surreal experience I’m riding up M tour broken road uh actually they tried to repair this loads of times they kept slipping down the hill eventually we gave up and got another road and let this one just return to Nature it’s quite a bit still here but there’s obviously quite a bit that isn’t morning it’s 5:30 came off the uh Downs last night went to bed about half 11 it actually still went in about 2:00 in the morning just really got windy died down a bit now but oh God it was rough didn’t get much sleep look that Sunrise [Music] wow storms are coming looks like about 8:00 all day not looking forward to that really in the heart of the DS now just it’s amazing it’s just there’s nothing up here the wind is just gone it’s just completely gone no wind at all now oh but look at that a [Music] [Music] look first 2 hours have just been hper bike really Rocky really steep a lot of walk now I’ve got this [Music] green wow that last section of easy riding lasted 500 M and then it was back into the evil stuff Wheels look a little bit lower now now which is good what’s that over there is that lavender Heather are they harvesting it they trying to spell my name come on Michael I can just about make it out or I’ve been out here too long on my own probably 8:45 properly raining now terrible oh no more KS as you can see still chucking it down but we have nice Reservoir stop making it rain not done much videoing today it’s been it’s just been driving rain all day by su day it’s been the course it’s hard but with this weather done 60 60 km in 9 9 hours it’s just been I don’t know it’s just been a grinding day going to have to cut it short I think for a hotel I don’t know not in the middle of nowhere not really sure what to do anyway don’t know what to say thought I’d do a bit Hing while I’m up here up here my mouse working properly not your using traffic time hey keep
