[Music] He tears through the streets like a thunder’s roar. Rubber burns and the engine soarses. Rev bomb rides with a wild man’s pride. The world can’t keep up no matter how it tries. Rev bomb’s motorbikes got a heart of steel. Wheels spinning faster than the fear we feel. Lights flash like fire in the dead of night. He’s a rebel on wheels chasing freedom like afternoon all. It’s now 2:00 Tuesday afternoon and we’re back out on another bike. This is the LXR Euro 5.5 and this is the black and red version. So, you’ve seen the black and gold, black bike, gold frames. This is the black and red version. So, red frame all the way around. Identical bike, but doesn’t that look good? And obviously more horsepower than the old version. Seat is slightly different. Tucks you in. Nice little seat hump at the back. And we’re back down at my favorite spot, which is Dobby’s, my little bit of car park where I do my bike shoots. And lo and behold, the caterpillar tree is coming back to life. Look at that. It’s got leaves again. That uh couple of months ago looked absolutely awful. So, let’s get out. Let’s have a little ride and let’s see what this bike can do. Let’s get 10 miles on it. And it’s got a brat to it, I tell you. Had a couple of pops and bangs. Right, cuz I am tight for time this afternoon and I am already an hour over on a car service cuz we’ve obviously got no second mechanic. Quick 5 mile ride on this. I’m going to complete this 6:00 tomorrow morning because the sun has disappeared. It’s decidedly hot, but the clouds are closing in. Means all the midgetes have gone out the sky anyway. That’s nice. Oh, it’s a Porsche. So, sixspeed box. Let’s go and have a ride. As always, lights full on. make people aware of you, let them know that you are there. So, we’re going to have a little run, get back down into town, and have a run around on the bike. Let’s come in on the dual brakes. So, back one first. That pulls you in nicely down on the front. Always check the brakes. And I’m in fourth, which means I can now see how good the gearbox is by clicking down. Half a click up to neutral. There we go. So, runs absolutely lovely. 1 and a half miles in already. Good old LXR standard display. All your telltales, rev counter, gear indicator, speed, and your fuel tank, which is flashing down the bottom cuz we only put a couple of liters in for the first test drive. Then we put five in. Where are you going? Come on. It’s left only. There we go. Have some hooter. You absolute love. I love using the hooter. And the hooter on the LXR is lovely and loud. Had to be done. Sorry. It had to be done. Numpty car driver. Uh, I use left lane to go straight over. Yes. Serial cardboard box. We found the first one of the day. I didn’t have any this morning. Apart from them that went a bit close to me coming past, but being on a dual carriageway, don’t bother me. But Hava will use it. I knew he’s going to do something. By the way, he was chatting away to his passenger. Oh dear. Right, let’s continue on this lovely test run. And uh someone’s uh been out with their can of paint and done the bridge. Yes, bike thieves are oinks in Milton Gaines. There goes Peter Kay’s favorite. That’s a Thumbulance. Right, we’re coming off here. We’re going around town. We’re going to crack some mileage up and then obviously do the final test ride couple of days before handover. And the wind is picking up. Oh, that lovely, lovely breeze. Isn’t that nice? So, come down here. We’re going to do a left, go down into town, have a little ride around town, and head back to the garage. Once again, coming in on the rear brake, combined braking, which gives you one disc at the front and your one at the rear. Working through the box. Absolutely. And of course, flick it through the roundabout. And that headwind is getting slightly strong now. Oh, there’s a breeze. The rain is incoming. Here’s RB. Going to get the test ride done and get back to the garage before I get soy soaking wety wet. So, we have one black and gold left of these. And then you’re going to have to wait until August for the next batch, guys. Bikes are selling like an absolute fast one at the moment. Really are going out the door one after the other. Hence the amount of test rides we are doing at the moment. And a lot of dealers are literally putting a couple of miles on and just hooking them out the door cuz they’re selling so many. We don’t. We do 10 on every bike. You’re not going to find a fault unless you get the mileage up. So we need center lane for central Bley. You’ve just got to remember where you’re going. So Fenny and Stratford is that one. Buckingham and Bletchley is this one which is center lane. He’s going left as well. So position just off to the right. Watching the traffic over there cuz they hack around that roundabout. Right. After this one we shall go. Come on. Go, go, go, go, go. Come on, white car. God, another one that’s uh got his license. And go, go, go, go, go. No, we’re going to wait. Are you going to go this time? No, we’re going to we’re just going to sit and wait for all the traffic. Right, there is a big gap coming. Go, go, go, go, go, go. I have still got time to go. We’re away. Get the power on. Oh, there you go. That will give you the reason why it’s a lur drive and you’ve got your right hand indicator on. Where are you going? He’s going in the right. He’s going to scoot around the outside into the right hand lane. Don’t you know it. Right. We’re going right at this one. Oh, go on. Oh, nearly. Nearly. God. Turn the wheel. Turn the wheel. Power. Power. Power. Power. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. And it’s a 60 mph road. Come on, little learner. Let’s go. That wind is getting heavy now. Thunderstorm incoming. Up to the top. Do a left. That will be five miles by the time I get back to the garage. And I have absolutely no idea why he’s just gone to the outside lane. He’s got an instructor there. Go to the outside lane. Why? The left lane is left and straight over. Absolute numpty. Looks like the instructor got his license in a serial box as well, though. Right round the corner we go. Oh, crosswind. That was a very crosswind. You can tell by the the way the trees are blipping around and just gone past my favorite shop. And talking of uh Iceland, Vince went off to or Vince is in Iceland at the moment on his motorbike doing his tour of Iceland, Recuic and all that. I did say to him, I’ve been to Iceland, but it was just all full of freezers, but the two for one special on the burgers was good. There’s a little RB joke for you. Anyone for a prawn ring? There we go. That will be my next bike in about 5 years time. Gave yourself one of them with all the mirrors on it. Right, we’re back to the carriage. First part of the test ride’s all done. Hunky dory. And obviously this is one of the bikes that came in from another dealer. And uh if you know how good my prep is, well, put it this way. I did the prep on this. 12 bolts loose, no right-hand foot peg, no mirrors. So, we’ve ordered them all under warranty. You’ve got brand new mirrors. Brand new. Why they had a foot peg off? I have absolutely no idea unless they’ve robbed it for another bike. But, we bolt checked it all over. It’s had the fuel in. It’s had the battery done. We’ve got it all sorted and it’s hunky dory. So, I know it’s good. RB prep this one. We have vehicles everywhere. That’ll be Taylor’s van then. Right, we’re going to put this one away. Job is done. Phil’s up there working on the Land Rover. That is all done. We’re going to drop this in here cuz I don’t need to do any bikeotes today cuz I’ve got cars all day. That one there has got to have a fulls size reg because I failed it yesterday on theote. That number plate is just decide decidedly too small. And that is a full size. That is a cut down plate. You’re not allowed one of those on an MOT. So that has failed. Right, LXR is all done. Hunky dory. Rides like a dream. We’ll see you on the next one. Till then, be well, ride safe.
