Today’s postcard from the chateau at Lacoste, whilst we rested our legs on our early morning ride out around the valley.

Today is due to be extremely hot again, so we set an early alarm and hopped on the bikes for a quick ride, before the heat of the day really started to build…

A month today, we will start our latest summer cycling adventure, so we’re getting as much cycling in as possible, to make sure we are as ready as we can be to start the ride, down through France…

I always love this view, and today it was just a joy to be up amongst the swifts that were screaming as they flew past, seemingly enjoying playing in the relative cool of the early morning…

[Music] Welcome to today’s postcard from Provence. Um it’s going to be very hot later, so we’ve headed out early and I’ll just show you where we’ve come up to this morning. We’ve been out on the bikes getting ready because a month today we’ll be setting off on our bike ride which has finally come together. Um and you’ll see us coming down through France watching some rugby and then catching a train back over to watch more rugby um going through the door join. But today we’ve come up here and we’re just sat up listening to the swifts which are sweeping round above our heads up at Lacost. This is the old um shadow of the marquee. Um and it’s a beautiful building and was restored by Pierre Cardan back in I think the 80s. Um but is still a wonderful ruin part of it and it is home to so many swifts which are just dashing around. It’s brilliant. that this is the view and across in the distance we have Monontto. We look all the way along the valley. I’m coming out into the sun now. Um and still more swifts. And then Monontonu in the distance over there, which is where the tour to France will be going on Tuesday. And we’ll be up there watching it all being well. And this is the view of the valley today. As I say, it’s going to get really hot later. So, time to hop back on the bikes in a second and keep going. So, we’re not out too late. Have a good day. Byebye.
