  1. Something very important happened here in Ingolstadt beginning at 5:04. During World War II, The American 86th Blackhawk Division captured this city from the Nazis. More importantly they made the first Allied Crossing of the Danube River. This was a crucial event in the war. The crossing went from right to the park and buildings on other side. Look closely for small amphitheater along the River's edge. That would be the landing area ! My Dad was part of this and my wife and I visited there a month ago. Great video !
