We visited the medieval city of Carcassone and the rose city Toulouse.

  1. Where did you have that Cassoulet? My wife and I are planning a trip to France right now and after watching your video I've just added Carcassonne to our list.

  3. I was in Carcassonne 10 days ago (very busy because of a bank holiday in Spain) and it looks like we had cassoulet at the same restaurant!

  4. Perhaps for your fellow American immigrants, make a short video about getting an EU driving licence. Some might drive illegally with their American license, and the rules are a bit different in every EU country and the UK.

  5. I love cassoulet, especially this rare quality, but eating such a dish in the evening, before going to sleep, is impossible for me! It's a guaranteed nightmare because it's perhaps the richest and fattiest dish in all of French cuisine. You shouldn't have your cholesterol measured the next day!!! However, this one is magnificent and makes you salivate!!! I don't know what time of year this video was filmed but in summer, in the middle of the tourist season, the medieval city is absolutely full of tourists, like Paris or Venice! You have to go in spring or autumn to fully enjoy it.

  6. Another great content, absolutely amazing places. Thank you for doing Toulouse ❤. I recommend more content like this, all around France and showing the livability of the place. And of course I have to see my carnivore diet preview 😁.

  7. Thank you so much for oisting this.

Carcassonne has been my dream desrination vavation since I was a boy (im 63 now).

I ho 3stly think i will shed a few rears should i ever set foot there.

  8. We’ve watch quite a few of your YouTube episodes and you do such a good job . Informative, likeable, credible, practical and fun. The complete package and you’re reaching downunder in Australia. Keep up the great work you lovely happy couple. 🥰🥰

  9. I have been 3 times to Carcassone, so easy to get around and connected to everything. The main feeling i get going to those parts of France is Nostalgia. It reminds me of the 80's in it's simplicity and how genuine the people are to help.

  10. Hi, we’ve just come back to The UK having spent a great weekend in Carcassone. We saw your video a couple of weeks ago which we found very helpful, we even booked a table at La Demeure for the cassoulet after your recommendation.

  11. Tonight my husband and I dined at Comet Roger inside the Medieval City of Carcassonne and it was magnificent! The atmosphere, food and service was amazing. Thank you for the recommendation. Carcassonne did not disappoint. It is a magnificent fortress.

  12. hello you 2. I don't know when you went to Comte Roger, but we were there last night, May 20, 2025. My cassoulet didn't look anything like yours. The duck was 1/2 a thigh, about 3 bites, the piece of meat was very chewy ans the beans didnt look at all like the ones in the video. it was a thick mess of sticky mush, i picked up a spoonfull of beans and turned it upside down, not one bean dropped off the spoon. Looking around, all other tables with cassoulet looked similar
I wonder if they knew who you are and gave you preferential treatment?
    Disappointing meal.

  13. I’m from southern Louisiana and the Cassoulet you ate is much like my Cajun French-speaking grandmother’s meal she prepared of white beans and chicken stew. One of my absolute favs in childhood for Sunday dinner when she was feeding a crowd. I see my French heritage right there! Love it! 😍
