On this ride, I bike just outside the heart of Valencia—past the city core and into what feels like the suburbs, even if it’s not.
More aggressive drivers. Less character. But, as I describe in the full-length video from this ride (coming later this week), it’s still better than bad American development for several reasons.

And it’s freaky de BC back in Valencia, Spain and Rousafa. And today we’re going to head to what I call, well, we’re going to try to head to what I call the suburbs of Valencia. One thing I noticed as you get out, so now we’re kind of in what I would call like the suburbs of the city, right? like not true suburbia which exists here but you’d have to like get on a freeway but this is a you know more low density development as you get into this environment that feels a bit more carentric the drivers are a bit more aggressive right see that kind of thing right there see waves at me like oh sorry you rarely see that in Rousafa or in the old city which is more of an American way of driving oh I know you were coming to the crosswalk walk and I’m going to go through the crosswalk and then I’m going to wave at you and be like, “Oh, sorry. Didn’t see you.”
