hello all. I inherited my grandfather’s Trek 400 about a decade ago. My younger brother used it once or twice a year for charity bike rides but otherwise it sat in my dad’s garage until recently. I had ACL reconstruction & meniscus repair surgery at the end of January so I began riding the bike 4 times a week (typically 2 mile rides) recently as part of my PT.

Unfortunately the pedal came off the right side crank arm on my way home the other day. I tried to put it back in place but the inner threads of the arm seem to have worn out so the threads of the pedal no longer catch.

I do not know much about bicycles in general, let alone older models such as this. I have tried to find a replacement crank arm of the same brand (SAKAE SX; though I don’t know how much this matters?) online but I can only find 170mm sets, & I currently have a 165mm. I do not know if that would be swappable or if that would cause a problem. I have attached pictures.

Thank you all in advance for any tips, suggestions, or advice you may have!
