New area, Côte des Bar named after the towns of Bar-sur-Aube and Bar-sur-Seine. Punchy climbs but great vistas. Found an excellent cafe right next to boulangerie in Les Riceys. Côte des Bar is one of the 5 different champagne areas, but peculiar is closer to Chablis than to Reims. Also same soil and climate as Chablis.

Our new starting point in the Kuba which is part of the Champagne area. The route today was towards the north northeast [Music] is slightly larger town in the valley. It’s also a separate AOC. [Music] All these signs sum it up nicely. There is actually a uh whole part of the village and a bath part of the village. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] found a little shopping area where there was a bonerie right next to a cafe where they had some excellent coffee. And as to be expected in Champagne, vineyards on the left and vineyards on the right. [Music] and this is how it all looks from the end. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Refreshing to see some other crops but grapes. I particularly like these empty roads. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] There is a lot of champagne Yeah. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] We’ve seen these contraptions all over the vineyards. The propeller blows the hot exhaust from the burner over the vineyard.
