This shift kicked off early on my e bike today! 9am on a Thursday morning in Cambridge. No lunch rush, no dinner chaos… just me, my e-bike, and a slow-burn start to the day. I didn’t expect much, but this turned into one of my longest shifts ever.

Deliveroo actually got back to me and they reset my background check thing, so I have to reapply for it. So, I’m guessing I’m on the next stage of Deliveroo. So realistically, it’s been a 16minute delivery for £4 something. Kind of good. It’s not that bad. And it’s not really taking me that far out of the center either. It’s only like 2 mi. 2 mi. It’s only like 44 miles. Let’s drop this bad boy off, guys. And then let’s scoot over for another one. Going to keep going. I’m not stopping until I get at least 20. This could be a long shift coming up to Jesus Green. Honestly, imagine living in one of these houses here. It would be the nicest thing. Ooh, there’s a police officer outside the house. I I’ve had three orders in an hour and a half. I’ve accepted all three. Cancelled one. I was outside the center maybe for 8 minutes, 10 minutes, something like that. Barely. Dead. Dead on a Thursday. What a shock. Never mind that shift I did the other week where it was uh testing out the dead hours. These are the dead hours. Amazing. 11 minutes away. Let’s go. So, if anything’s going to pop in, then you know, should hopefully be an out. I’m not ending this shift until I earn at least 20. I haven’t done a good deed either. My good deed going to be. I guess the point of this video is if you were considering doing food delivery or you were doing it fulltime, then is it actually worth it starting at 9:00 in the morning and doing it like a normal shift? Uh, so so far it’s 12:29. I’ve been on for 3 and 1/2 hours and I’ve earned £17. So, one could argue that if it were busier then it might be worth it. And if the day is different, maybe you have to pick and choose your days. Is it worth it on a Thursday morning? No. Unless you have multiple apps, of course, then potentially yes.
