Just got my first drop bar bike! It's replacing my worn steel frame city bike with internal gears. It's going to be used for my 18 km work commute once or twice a week in the warmer months and the occasional weekend ride on mixed tarmac and gravel roads through the forest. Judging from the first test ride, it performs as I had hoped 🙂

I am 185 cm with a short 85 cm inseam so heightwise right in between size medium and large. But my inseam is medium so I went with that, and it feels like it was the right call.

The color is a deep purple that contrasts nicely with the black details and accessories.

Maybe I will add a longer stem but I'm not sure if that is neccesary yet. Other than that it would be nice with a better saddle, and next season I will probably get some 32 mm GP5000's instead of the Schwalbe comp tires.

Setup and getting everything mounted took about 2 hours. I am happy I have a bit of experience with basic bike maintenace since it took a few adjustments. The front rotor was rubbing a bit, so that needed aligning, and the front derailleur cable was way too slack so it couldn't shift front chainrings out of the box. But tightening the cable solved the issue and it was ready to go.
