A whole week of riding bikes, eating amazing Italian food, spending time with friends, and having unforgettable adventures—this trip was incredible! Puglia completely surprised me in the best way. Every town we visited had its own unique style, vibe, and history, and all of them were fascinating in different ways. Before this trip, I hadn’t heard much about Puglia, but now I know it’s a hidden treasure I’ll never forget.

We started in Alberobello and rode our bikes to stay in other amazing towns like Monopoli, Ostuni, Martano, Otranto, and Lecce. In between, we explored smaller villages that felt like stepping back in time.

The food was incredible! We ate at many family-owned restaurants where every dish was fresh, homemade, and bursting with flavor.

One of the most refreshing parts of the trip was swimming in the Adriatic Sea. The water was super blue, and we even spotted fish swimming around us.

This adventure was full of surprises, great food, beautiful sights, and amazing memories. It’s the kind of trip you’ll think about for years to come!

Thank you to @pugliacycletours2788 Puglia Cycle Tours for providing an amazing experience. I can’t think of a better way to experience this part of the world better than by bike.

Cheers!

centipede man [Music] so we just turned off the road and uh we’re now on the aqueduct Trail which apparently goes for some 20 km I like the little lizard gecko dudes on the Rocks as you’re riding by they kind of scary away we just entered lorando and there are these pretty cool bike Lanes it’s a nice change up from sharing the road with the cars we’re having troubles over here Loro lorando I’ve been saying Londo which is definitely not right start of day two we’re uh we’re about to leave Alber Bellow and uh head to Monopoly and smile your H camera and we got about 46 km ride mostly all downhill towards the coast good one for the second day cuz we’ll be able to get some potentially swimming in at the end of it pretty cool truck window we found some natural raisins on the side of the road where are we coming into Mar well we just came down the hill I can’t pronounce the town name oh you can feel the breeze now off the water oh that must be our singer man we’re open under the Adriatic Sea this thing’s cool looks potent lightly they y or not Club but team thankfully there’s this parallel road to the highway we got a pretty stiff headwind in most cases that would be a bad thing when you’re riding a bike but it feels really nice cuz it’s also really hot out right now we’re uh just about 7 km outside of our stoping Monopoly we’re now back on a bike path which is uh a nice place to be we’re definitely got to be this stairwell is crazy can’t fall too far in any One Direction though oh yeah at the top of our crazy staircase there’s a door that leads to this balcony this rooftop balcony and it is really cool up here we have our own private table and four chairs yday was nice see him flashing one on the left wobbling yeah there’s little fish in there there’s like this really translucent small shrimp like very seethrough this is cool welcome to the Adriatic Sea it’s mid May we’re in Monopoly Italy I found a water koala water koala who can’t stand upright in this location found ground it got warmer sometimes a good thing sometimes a bad thing there’s a crab yeah there’s a big one look over here two of them oh and he’s got a snail on him oh this right here saying all the numbers L COC around the toe L COC around the toe an inquisitive Eric supposed to be served at 68° Tristan is that 68° [Music] day three on our ride we’re heading from monopo to eston we got about 55 km and couple of big Hills late in the ride to tackle should be a really nice day those Greek and Roman ruins and stuff kind of how’s the water just your fies nice no all of me but that’s what I was trying to avoid we just had a a quick lunch and a cold drink we’re about halfway through our ride now maybe just a little bit less than halfway it was a good stop we needed [Music] it yeah oh good thing you got your helmet on probably just the goodest of all dogs laying here in the shade the rest of the group has seen one of these snakes alive I haven’t yet but I did just come across the Dead one they are pretty big and very black and scary looking and now we start the climb to auni even more intimidating is you can see it up on the hill perched up at the high point and it feels like we are are in an oven that’s a St in the background we grabbed a quick cold shower to cool off and it is hot out we’re enjoying the sidewalks that are in the shade a Tristan is still a melty popsicle I need gelato she was saying emergency gelato while we were riding and so we’re going to uh good emergency gelato looking for gelato and we see a sculpture that looks like an ice cream cone with boobs we’re going to go check it out I got a red fruit or fruit of the forest and it ended up being like a strawberry raspberry Tristen got a what was named Bueno I believe translates to good at least it does in Spanish so it’s got to be close in Italian work it work it you can see his breathing he’s nervous I bet I could pick him up don’t do it don’t do it you’ll freak him out yeah there you go go all the way through day four of riding we woke up to a uh very blue sky in about 6 and2 miles we’re going to hit a train take the train for almost an hour and then continue our ride warmer Mar we stopped here at the Euros spin which for a while we’d seen signs for it thinking that it was some type of European Lottery turns out it’s a grocery store so everyone’s going in to grab some snacks before we hit the train so we have snacks for the train you got to go down those stairs go under the tracks and then you pop up right over here from 3:00 could be delayed or changede to fur made it just a lone simple American man Waiting for a Train to leche bicycle one right there currently going 100 miles an hour in the train bringing us over to leche oh man now do a little dance and make a little love got some homemade lemon soda that’s good this looks good A very happy Kyle he’s making quick work of it going we just had lunch in aaya and it was awesome I had meatballs and a lasagna it’s a little like fortified City with walls and a castle and everything very small uh the bike routes having us do a very short loop around it and in 2 minutes time we have did the full circle around aaya definitely is starting to look like different country down south of Lee blackberry bushes a lot smaller olive trees different Stone buildings kind of like little trules but they kind of are just like Dome or cone shaped from the very ground up not necessarily just the roots interesting different we got lots of little baby olive trees growing about in this field oh we’ve upset the the dog he got up out of his uh Shady spot oh there’s two dogs there’s a dog over there and there’s a dog over here it’s really cool seeing working dogs at work we’re just about 7 km out from martano we’re following this older Trail very much so overgrown compared to the previous Trails welcome to Don austino [Music] she looks like she’s got a real good Lounge on tonight we are staying right outside martano in a gated mesaria Mia mesaria Mia anyways it seems like we have the place to ourselves with these lovely seating areas wine brought right to us oh H that see your [Music] husband it’s morning time in martano it is super sunny out so Tristan and I are going to jump in the pool before breakfast start of day five we’re heading to Toronto 52 53 km to go going left we’ve seen what happens in caves nice watch we’re going to be on the look out for people falling in this thing yeah look for some elderly Italian men that don’t know what they’re doing no falling people this one would hurt I mean it is kind of intimidating with the bike shoes all right we’ve made it uh about as far back as you can get in poet’s gr kind of like an Amphitheater surrounding you if there was a a crowd surrounding someone down here they’d get some good Acoustics get cheeseburger and french fries they good fries they’re good salty going to have a little Negron from my homie all right we just pulled off the uh Main Road and we’re headed towards the coast we get a little bit more of a double track kind of feel a little bumpy a little grally oh got oh boy it’s a little difficult to uh camera and ride I’m Manning the camera with my rear brake hand ho it’s beautiful we just were riding along the the cliff side and uh just taking some random pictures and looking around and stuff and then we stopped and I look down and I see this awesome little staircase in an open metal door look this is a cave that goes underneath the stairs there are so many heat holes in here it’s kind of slippery oh like it’s all skeletons yeah it looks like it’s like skeleton and bones and skulls and stuff the Rocks here are super cool depending on what pitch they’re on they they get textured a different way whatever it all is it’s certainly interesting traveling through with bike shoes well that was certainly worth the stop power in the midle yeah this is so cool I like this guy I like from the poet groud and south on the coast it was just non-stop awesome views lots of cool stuff to explore we’ve reached a small Lake which is something we haven’t seen on our trip yet the trees surrounding it are much different we’re in the moat woo and here we are in a Toronto very much so a Beach town There’s this big beach we get a good panoramic view of the city a Toronto just like Monopoly has the Adriatic Sea koala bears that uh latch on if you’re not paying attention we’re going to go see what’s in these rocks so we’ve moved over to the Rocks where I’m oping we’ll see a little bit more life we saw a couple fish in the Rocks who knows what type of video we got of them but I think we got something we’ll enjoy looking through the footage of that those yellow flowers smell really really good went for a little Sol run and found myself down here at the otono marina it’s always interesting to me to see what local boats look like they’re the rib boats the rigid Hull inflatable boats this one right here is huge 26t inflatable boat pretty awesome got some little Minnows swimming around in the sand ah get to see some other land mass over there maybe that’s Albania we were swimming way over there it’s really cool view of the city got these big castle walls the City built up inside them doesn’t look like there’s any formal launches here pretty unique way to launch your boat so they cradle them off the trailer and drop them [Music] in they only have one top yeah yeah so we got a we got takeway pizzas and uh a bottle of wine what an awesome place to have dinner last day on the bike ride we’re leaving OT Toronto right now heading towards leche can you fil my interest to I think she’s got the touch you like my technique can you T me off too you’re the
