Stage four of Jirro datalia women and it would be a testing and demanding summit finish in prospect. The first of two summit finishes along the way from Castello Tessino to Panets. 142 km in prospect. Four tough climbs along the way. A second day in pink for Anna Henderson of the lead track squad. Loreno the European champion after her stage three victory. Looking forward to a day in the sun once more in Northern Italy. Alisa Longa Borggini, the Italian champion and reigning champion of the event. Interested in trying to find a way up a general classification from third position. Anna Henderson all smiles at the start as 148 riders representing the 22 teams raced into action and it was a very fast and frenetic first hour of racing. Eventually, after 30 km, a very strong breakaway group of four emerged out front, including stage three winner Loreno of the team SD works protime squad clear of the field with Eleanor Gasparini of UA team ADQ, Allesia Vigilia of FD, De Sewers, and Leica Neyan from team Vizma, Lisa Bike, Marina Weas taking the first position at the intermediate sprint and with the 12 bonus points. So 12 points towards the points classification that would draw her within four points of the lead of the Malia Rosa competition held by Anna Anderson. Onto the testing and demanding climbs along the way. The second of the four climbs in prospect. The daunting Muro de Kad del Pogio and Loreno Ibas leading the quartet across the 1.1 km climb with a reduced advantage. One stage 3 and 1/2 minutes in hand for the four riders up front and Vigilia the race leader on the road that was paired back by the sustained push from the main pelaton behind. And as they approached the penultimate climb of the day with 15 km remaining onto Santos Stephano Vigilia decided to strike out for glory. The local rider with the FDJ sewer squad claiming the top points. That’s the third climb of the day and keen to become the last rider standing as behind Louis and friends toiled in the sunshine to try and make it through to the bottom of the final climb clear of the field. The main palaton loomed as the 11.1 km of the Pionets climb loomed in the distance and uh well 7.2% 2% average, 11% maximum gradient was going to prove too challenging for last year’s runner up and world champion Lot Capeki among many others. A really strong injection of face by the movie star squad at the bottom of the mountain could pay to Anna Henderson’s chances of retaining the Malorosa and Marlon Royer was on the attack having paired the group down to just a handful of favorites. She throttled back a little bit allowing other riders to regroup and regain into the final five kilometers. Moyer and others on the front and Aander Breen with a sustained pull to try and thin out that group. The four-time champion not able to follow when Royer launched her second attack. And then within a couple of kilometers of the finish line, Sarah Jagante of the AG Sudal squad surprising Royster Longo Borggini and Neidomar with a really impressive effort that drew her clear. She would expand her advantage all the way to the finish line behind Alisa Longo Borgghini, the reigning champion, looking to limit her losses to the flying Australian rider and also potentially put Marlon Royceer under a bit of pressure. Nemar fading a little from the two chasers as up front and into the final couple of hundred km into the final couple of hundred meters. Sarah Jagante across the line to scoop her first victory in Jirro Datalia behind Alisa Longo Borgini 25 seconds back claimed the bonus seconds for second and paired her deficit to Marlon Royster is behind Anna Henderson 10 minutes in her ears handed over the overall race lead. Sarah Gigante claiming her first success at world tour level in the grand tours and Marlon Royster back in pink now with a reduced advantage over Lisa Longa Borggini. Sarah Jagante up to third at 35 seconds. Henderson holds a reduced advantage in the points competition ahead of Loreno Evas while Sarah Jagante an extra reward for her efforts. She’s into the lead of the mountains competition with a 15point advantage. And Antonio Neidmire, as usual, is the leader of the young rider competition heading into stage five.

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Gigante !!!!
wow, Gigante crushed the final climb; deserving stage winner for sure 👍
Wicked Finish!
Extremly clever racing by Marlen Reusser! Staying with her biggest rival Elisa Longo Broghini and not going for the stage win! Therefore Sarah Gigante could take the win. For Antonia Niedermaier it was a little bit to hard to compete with the other three riders.
Thrilling race to watch🎉
Heavy Metal music in background? Really? 😂
Sarah hat verdient gewonnen!!
can we get rid of the music please?
What happen to Lotte Kopecky in today race?
The background music is extremely irritating
Awesome music! 🎉
Music is an absolute disaster. Maybe for 30 seconds at the intro… but let it go…
Forza Elisa!
