Tidy is coming back. Look at him. Elbow to elbow down the straight. Tidy is going to have to wind it up now. He’s getting up on the back of Kobe Raford. He’s going to get it on the line. It’s going to be close. Oh. Oh, I’m here with 1314’s national champion. Uh Kobe Rayford. Well done. How was that lap? Um it was good. A pretty good start and just down the first straight I got boxed in a little and just round the lap. keep it going strong and just I saw a gap in the second corner and I went for it and managed to get it done. All right, well done mate. Thank you very much. 134 year old girls the final Ly Brown, Esme Ward, Ruby Warren, Matilda Zerev, Holly Diver, Algra Trrew and Amily Eaton. [Music] Right, moving on. We’ve got the 13 to 14 year old females heading down towards that first turn. Tar won’t stop. Brown leaning out for absolute bicycle motocross. Esme Ward in there in two. That looks like Ruby Warren in three and the rider on a prostar going through in four as they head towards the turn. In and out we go. Still Lotty can’t stop. Won’t stop. Brown she can’t stop. She won’t stop. She’s not going to stop till she gets to the line. Here comes Esme Ward running up on the back of her. It’s going to be another close finish at the line. Brown and Ward. Oh, I think Brown just held on to it. All right, here with 1314 female winner tonight, national champion Lotty Brown. How was that lap, Lotty? Tiring. Yeah. Yeah. And um tell us I know you had three two couple of races before that. So, yeah. How’s the how’s the event been for you? Yeah, it’s been a good experience. Like I’ve never done it before, so it’s been really nice. Yeah. All right. And Esme on your heels there. But well done. Thank you. Yeah. 15 to 16’s up on the start. Eric Mcwitty, Eden Boon, Ollie Kirby, Kai Bowen, Cody Koko, Shan Brown, Ben Lawkins, and Finn Hoff. 15 to 16 year olds are a gohoff out of lane number one. He’s heading for turn number one out front. Who’s there with him? Got to be the W5 plate of Kai Bowen. Hoff being sh one and two. Where is Lins and Coco? They’re going through in three and four. So the Pure Bikes riders are looking good at the moment into turn two and back out they go. It’s Hoff in control. He’s being chased down though by Bowen as he bring it into the final turn. Half running away with it now. Creating a bit of a gap for himself. It’s going to be Half picking up the sleeve in the 15- 16s. Bowen for two. Lockins Koker three and four. All right. Here with 1516s open uh national champion Finnhof. How’s the lap, Finn? Yeah, it was pretty decent. Uh bit side windy so it’s a bit cautious of that but managed to get my gate in the final and pretty happy with it. Yeah, that was pretty tight on the line there that last corner and I know you’re being hunted down but yeah managed to hold it. Yeah, it was good. Yeah. All right, well done mate. Thank you. 15 to 16 year old girls lining up on the start. Sophie Edward, Analise Kman Carpenter, Sabina Ashman, Lexi White, Laurian Karuthers, Ruby Moors, Jess Marriott and Emmy Seawwood. 15 to 16 year old girls are a go for their national champs. Who’s going to pick up the sleeve? Looking like Weight’s just working her way into turn number one. Check out Emmy Seawwood making moves. Seawwood’s worked her way into that two spot in behind Wait. Wait. Seawwood. Marriott. That’s your one, two, three. Where is Kather? She’s in there near and about four at the minute. Chopping it up with Lwood in the turn. Seawwood isn’t done yet. Bringing it into the final corner looking for a way round. Wait. Look. Oh, Lwood hits the deck. swallows Ashman up as well. It is going to be Lexi Wait, Emmy Seawwood. That’s your one or two across the line. All right, managed to chuck it down. Lexi Way uh 1516 uh female national champion. How’s it feel? Great. Unexpected, but I went for it. Yeah, that was really good. And I know you and Emmy were really close all the way around. So, just tell us about the lap. It was I knew I had to get over from the gate. I had fifth pick and then I just once I got the whole shot I just went for it. But it was good battling. I think it was uh less than a less than a tenth on the line. It was well half a bike. Yeah, we’re close. All right. Well done mate. Thank you. Masters are on the game. We have got Chris Granger, Matthew Eaton, Danny Taylor, Danny James, Sean, Alan Hill, John Livingston, and Billy Lhurst. This is for the Masters sleeve. Here we go. to Master’s final heading down the hill. Who’s going to be the first in the first turn? Lson looking good on the inside. Allan Hill in the middle. Here comes Lucas from the outside. Billy Ler, stay strong. Clark and Ken out in front leading it through. He’s in control at the moment. Look at Sha it. It’s almost like somebody stolen his sweep snake money and he’s chasing them down to get it back. So is it in there in three? It’s going to be Billy Lhurst though. Stay strong Clark and Ken. He’s going to be a Mast’s national champ. Is it going to get the podium? Third place money for Sha. All right. Here with uh Mast’s open national champion and standing presenter uh Biddy Lur. Uh Bill, tell us about that lap. Uh it was a lap I pedled as fast as I could and I won. Well done. You did all the really good basic stuff. Yeah. Maybe did some jumps. All the basic stuff. Yeah. It’s it’s a tough one. And there’s a weird vibe with this race. Maybe British Cycling could uh put a bit more effort into putting on a show for everyone. Could be a lot bigger and maybe more people will do it. But I mean, we showed up. We’ve had a good evening and uh yeah, it was good in the end. Missing missing the elites now though. All right. Well, well done, mate. Go and watch. Thank you very much. 30 plus females, Rebecca Go, Anita Wong, and Juan Clemens. Right. the Masters 30 plus ladies. Three riders competing for this national title to have the sleeve on the jersey. And the rider out in front is the rider who holds that sleeve coming into this race. That is Rebecca Gold out of Absolute Bicycle Motocross. Got herself a 10 by length lead now over Neita Wong. But Nita’s got more followers on YouTube, so it kind of evens it out a little bit. Fon Clemens in there in three pushing hard. We love to see it. But it’s going to be Rebecca go absolute bicycle motocross retaining the national championship. She’s going to wear the sleeve for the second year running here with female masters national champion for a second year. Becca G. How’s it feel? Good. Yeah, good. Um yeah, had a good run round. Nice to lace race with these guys and um yeah, take the win. It sort of completes the evening, doesn’t it? Yeah, for sure. Well done. Thanks for turning up as well. It’s really good that you guys are racing. Yeah, brilliant. I think um you know, just trying to keep us 30 plus ladies going and you know do our bit for the masters. Yeah, well done. Thank you very much. Right. Next up, ladies final, we have got Emily Hutz, Bethany Shrivever, Freya Chalice, TA Gainer, Lucy Simpson, Sienna Harvey, and Betsy Bax. National tile up for grabs. Who’s going to walk away with the sleeve as they head down towards the turn? Freya the Slayer. Chalice is going to lead it into the corner. Chalice in one, in two. Sa Harvey in there in three. That’s Betsy Bax in there in four. Tay Gainer in five. Lucy Simpson in six. Bey Shrever has pulled the rift cord. But meanwhile, Huts taking the position. Freya’s going back underneath again. It’s going to be a last straight track drag race. Freya the Slayer. Chalice. Is she going to hold off? Emily Hut on the line. Freya’s going to take the win. She takes the sleeve. Hut in two, Harvey in three. Back rounding out the four. All right, here with junior women national champion back on the bike first time in a few weeks. Uh Freya, how’s it feel? Yeah, it’s good. I um went out to Earth yesterday to not yesterday, last weekend with for the Maybo 25th anniversary and that was like my first proper time and obviously I wasn’t feeling 100% and then this week’s just building up to get to that 100% for European Champs next weekend. So taking each step and enjoying the laps and being back on my bike, being off for two months, I’ve missed it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, a break sometimes is uh is good as well, but uh I know you’ve missed it and it’s great to see you back on track. Thank you. I really appreciate it. All right. Here with under 23 and elite uh women champions this year. I know the numbers weren’t massive and you’re all merged together. Um but it’s great that you’re here to support the event and take the titles. So m how does it feel? Feels great to uh win it for the second year running. So yeah. Yeah. And um I think and Beth same I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I wasn’t able to do it last year cuz I was injured. So, uh, yeah, we had a good laugh today. Definitely, it was it was fun. And I think, you know, the reason for this format, and you see the racing in the 13s, 14s, and the 15, 16s in the in the female uh category was was really, really good. And we’re trying to build this over the next few years, boys and girls. Um, so that we’ve got more people participating in your categories in a few years time. So, anything to say about that? I think this year there was already a few more girls. Yeah, last year it was only me and Tana, so there’s already a few more of us, so yeah, it’s good. It’s obviously good to see the girls coming through. Um, yeah, it’ll be great to see more in the future and we can actually do well, the girls were probably racing today, but I’m the only elite women, but Em will be joining me soon, so uh, yeah, it’ll be good. All right. Well, look, thank you very much and well done. Thank you. Thank you. Under 23 men up on the start for their national champs final. We have got Ross Cullen, Kyle White, Harry Tanner, Jared Hill, Brad Russell, Jimmy Ciddle, Ben Cornish, and Jos Manum. Final number eight. Here’s the track. Your elite men are a go. Colon on the outside looking to make it sticker to turn number one, but it is Kyle White, ladies and gents, leading this one out. White going one and two with Cullen. Whiz Monomies in three. Brad Russell working his way into a top three spot. They’re working up the inside. Oh, he got busy in the turn. Cordish, Tanner, Raman, and we’re neck and neck. White Russell Tanner. That’s how they leave the final turn. Brad Russell putting in a shift through the final straight looking to pick up the win. It’s going to be White Russell Tanner. More than one, two, three, and four. All right. Here with uh with senior and under 23 Open champions today. It was a merge class uh with Kai and with Brad. So yeah, Kai, how’s it feel? There’s only two of us that actually in the category, so just me and Ross. We planned a chill chill lap, but I think Ross got smashed about by about by the younger guys while he was chilling. So um yeah, no, it’s good. It’s good fun. Good to get the keep the younger in check. And um yeah, I think Brad enjoyed it more than me. Well, excellent. It’s great that you guys are here. really is uh really good and um so Brad under 23 national champion. Yeah. Uh yeah, it’s good first year you 23 this year. So it’s always good obviously to continue with a sleeve next year. Nice one. And um yeah, that’s quite a busy lap in uh in the end. I think that that final. Yeah, it was interesting for sure. Uh I thought get stuck in try and chase Kai. Yeah, made it a bit easier than what I should have. But I was trying my hardest, bro. was lacked. Okay, lack if you say so. All right. Well, look, well done, guys, and thank you very much for coming and supporting the event. All right, cheers. Any thank you. Thank you. All right, here with Harry Tanner. Um Harry won the National Championship uh junior category yesterday. We missed you, Harry, last night. We both got a change of clothes. It’s just front night. We missed Harry last night. The age groups were merged, but how was the how was that final lap for you? The final lap wasn’t I mean, it wasn’t my best lap. I didn’t get a great gate. I was I had six picks and I went on gate eight. So I just followed Ross and Kai around was in seventh in the first corner and just went past a couple people on the second straight and then made a big move in the second corner to get third. Third in the race but then first overall in junior. Yeah, great. And um I think actually first, second, and third were the elite. It was Kai, Brad in the under 23 and then you in the junior in the end. So kind of worked out quite well, but we did miss you. Sorry about that. Um, so there weren’t as many numbers as we’d maybe liked to see in those categories. But of course, we’ve got the 13s, 14s, 15, 16s as well, and they were really competitive, good numbers, and obviously hoping that flows through into the older age groups over the next few years. It’ll be a good progression to into junior and into elite. There’ll be more riders and we’ll have hopefully have a gate of eight or even more in each category in a couple years. So, you go up into under 23 next year, I guess. Um, you know, what are you looking forward to over the next uh couple of years? obviously as you as you develop and you know improve your race craft and do the physical stuff and whatever. So I think over the past couple races my phys the physical aspect’s been really big cuz I went to Papar but it’s my first World Cup which I’m hoping to do more of next year but that was really physical. So the next couple years hopefully I’ll be getting on the podium potential British cycling squad um and that’ll that’ll help me progress and everything and be better in World Cups and stuff like that European cups. It’s really weird, isn’t it? When you hit the 8 meter, it’s like another sport. And then when you hit that World Cup scene, it’s like another sport. So yeah, it’s a lot different. It’s It’s so fun though. Like going to Papa was is a great experience being with the squad. All right. Look, well done and good luck for the rest of the year. Thank you. All right. Well, that was the Lloyd’s BMX National Championships. Uh we’ve seen all the finals, we’ve spoken to all the winners. Some of the categories had more riders than others. Um it’s something we’re looking to really build over the next few years. So, uh, thanks to all the riders who supported it this year and well done to the champions.
