On Saturday the 28th June, the village of Yellow Furze in Co. Meath hosted the Junior National Championships. Unfortunately the rain fell on and off through-out the day. I got to video some of the race, which turned out to be an incredible win for Conor Murphy.

The race was organised by the Navan Road Club & Yellow Furze Road Club in the lovely small village of Yellow Furze.

Yeah, I know. Heat. Heat. And we can see Conor Murphy of Caldwell as he turns left here. He’s on his own. And we can begin to count the seconds back to uh the chasing rider which is Rory Condan of Zappy. We’ve got three riders riding solo at the moment. Murphy about to pass up through the finishing straight here. And he’s looking very, very strong. from that unexpected Connor Murphy from Caldwell. Will it be his national champ well back? A big strong powerful rider really that you can make it all the way to the finish line to take silver. But at the moment with Murphy powering ahead at the head of affairs here that gap has certainly gone out. Well done. Give it up for the rider Rory Cton from Zappy there. James Armstrong should be racer through. Now we can see right down at the end of the finishing straight you can see the VC Glendale car is there as well. They’ll be support supporting James Armstrong giving him as much encouragement as possible. for the moment. Those three riders riding solo and certainly potentially riding into podium positions as well as Jim Armstrong comes through the finishing line here. You can see they’re paying extra crosses, please. Those time caps gone well out. Very shortly, we’ll be seeing those two riders come through the finishing straight. You can see that lead biker head of them here. There may well be an opportunity for these two riders. So the three riders up front, Connor Murphy on his own up front, Rory Condan on his own, James Armstrong just on the head of these two riders here as they pass through. Dar Matthew Walls on the front of affairs here. So the asy business cyclist D sitting on Matthew Walls, but these two riders can sense that there’s a podium place to be earned this afternoon and even down the finishing straight as well. Another tree of riders take that lefthand turn. So they’ll become across from the Pelaton. Max Million Fitzgerald was up there earlier on and heard mention of his uh name, but those three chasing riders are treating moving an awful lot quicker than Bern and Matthew was. They’ve been out there a long long time this afternoon. So the three of them passing through there, you’re Watson up there at the head of affairs. So the three riders will be closing that gap and that’s going to be an epic finish here. Cam Conor Morphing from Cwell at the front of affairs. Roy Cond from Zappy was up there and then James Armstrong VC Glendale and with potentially sweep man coming across from the VC Glendale team. Fatigue will be setting in for Armstrong but Tara Burn Mach may well be tiring. They’ve been out there too long and the Pelaton coming through as well and the balance of team cars here that are the head of affairs. The Pelaton into this final 9.5 km lap as well for these riders that are coming through. We can see Glendale represented, stagger represented and also VC Glendale looking perhaps the get from DC had attacked injury from Sax and Hugo also riding with By teammate of Brown stay away into the finishing straight. Only a couple hundred meters here for the riders, but as we approach the finish line here, it’s all power. He’s going to be second place taking place here. He’s got checker flag here at the end of the street. Going to push out. Is it going to be a gall? It looks to me on the right hand side and it looks the leading during the course. Sorry. Hell yeah. Seventh place will take for Terra Burn and presenting the medal will be Brian Hayden for chairman of Syster and presenting Sing the flowers will be Jerry K. Wait to hold on.
