Welcome back to Wonder Garden! today I’ll share with you a very simple way to make natural fertilizer at home helping your garden’s orchid pots stay healthy lush and bloom vibrantly using just familiar kitchen ingredients we can create a fertilizer that not only promotes healthy root and leaf growth but also encourages more flowers longer lasting blooms and vibrant colors throughout the flowering season the best part is that this method is very safe easy to do and anyone can try it at home if you’re looking for an effective way to care for orchids without expensive fertilizers watch this video until the end I’m sure you’ll be amazed by the results let’s get started to begin making today’s natural fertilizer the main ingredient we need is pure ground coffee the gentle aroma of coffee not only makes you feel relaxed but also works wonderfully to awaken the vitality of roots and make leaves glossier especially for orchids exhausted after a blooming season you only need to prepare about 3 tablespoons of ground coffee and place them into a clean jar like this then I’ll pour in 500 milliliters of boiling water the high temperature will help extract the nutrients from the coffee to the fullest seal the lid tightly and let it sit until the water cools completely this is an orchid that is finished blooming and was bought for $2 at a store if you look closely you’ll see it’s starting to grow new leaves this is the most sensitive stage in the plant’s life cycle at this point the plant needs careful care from roots to leaves to recover and prepare for a vibrant next blooming season this orchid though still alive has a severe white fungal infection on its roots and growing medium so the first and most important step is to remove all the old moss see plants bought from stores are often potted in damp moss like this moss is a common medium in industrial production because it retains moisture well but this very trait makes the plant prone to water logging and fungal infections when brought home removing the old moss allows us to clearly observe the entire root system when wrapped in a thick damp layer of moss you can’t tell which roots are healthy rotten or infected with white fungus only by removing the moss can you truly see the plant’s actual condition removing old moss also eliminates pathogens fungi and insects hiding in the damp medium this is an effective way to create a clean airy environment for the plant to recover preparing it for repotting in a more suitable new medium after removing all the old moss the next thing I always do is use Scissors to prune the root system cut away all damaged soft rotten or brittle roots these roots can no longer absorb water or nutrients and keeping them will slow the orchid’s recovery potentially spreading disease to healthy roots in addition to the English voice we have now created dubbed voices in French German Italian Spanish Portuguese Japanese Hindi and Indonesian to help you understand the content more easily listen in your preferred language by opening the video and clicking on settings the gear icon to select the appropriate audio language keep only the intact roots which are silvery white or pale green these are healthy roots that can continue to grow in a suitable environment finally rinse the entire plant with clean water rinsing the plant after removing the moss will completely clear away any remaining white fungal patches as well as wash off harmful microorganisms that may cling to the base or leaf crevices especially if the plant is waterlogged the odor and slime from rotten roots also need to be washed away to avoid affecting the next recovery steps which country are you watching this video from it’s wonderful that we can connect with each other from all over the world if you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet please hit the subscribe button to support me and not miss any orchid care tips returning to the coffee jar after the water has completely cooled I’ll filter out the coffee grounds keeping only the extracted liquid filter carefully to avoid small residues sticking to the roots when watering as orchid roots especially new ones are very sensitive dilute with 1.5 liters of water to make the solution gentler at this point you have a completely natural easy to make fertilizer ready to use for orchids and other ornamental plants in your garden to help the plant recover from within the first step is to soak the orchids roots in the diluted coffee solution for about 20 minutes during this time the natural nutrients in the coffee will gradually penetrate the root epidermis stimulating root tissue regeneration helping the plant absorb energy gently and sustainably while waiting you can use a soft cloth or cotton pad soak it in the same coffee solution and gently wipe the entire leaf surface wiping leaves not only removes dust and insects but also provides nutrients directly through the leaf epidermis coffee contains many natural antioxidants which boost the plant’s resilience especially during recovery after root damage at the same time this solution helps reduce yellowing or dry leaf edges restores glossy green leaves and creates a natural protective layer against environmental stressors next I’ll take the opportunity to prepare the growing medium for repotting I use two familiar mediums pine bark and moss I’ll mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda into 2 liters of clean water stirring until fully dissolved then soak all the pine bark and moss in this solution for about 10 minutes this soaking removes dust residual mold and prepares the cleanest possible environment for the plant to recover and thrive after repotting after soaking for enough time I’ll remove all the medium and let it drain naturally if you want to learn the secret to caring for Phalaenopsis orchids make sure to watch this video carefully until the end your orchids will become strong grow new roots and bloom vibrantly all year round once everything is ready line the bottom of the pot with a few foam pieces to increase aeration gently place the orchid in the pot ensure the entire root system is neatly arranged fitting comfortably inside the pot without bending or being pressed next slowly pour the treated drained medium around the base do this carefully adjusting as you go to position the roots correctly keep the stem upright while adding the medium to ensure the plant is stable in the early stage in addition to the English voice we have now created dubbed voices in French German Italian Spanish Portuguese Japanese Hindi and Indonesian to help you understand the content more easily listen in your preferred language by opening the video and clicking on settings the gear icon to select the appropriate audio language if needed use a small support stick to keep the plant steady the key is to ensure the plant is secure without wobbling while leaving enough space around the roots for them to breathe and grow comfortably finally I’ll cover the surface with a thin layer of moss this moss layer helps prevent water from evaporating too quickly maintaining stable moisture for the medium below which is especially important in the early stage after repotting when the roots are still weak and adapting to the new environment after securing the plant and adding the moss layer I’ll gently water the orchid pot with the diluted coffee solution pour the solution slowly and evenly letting the water seep deep into the medium reaching the entire root system the plant’s heart which absorbs nutrients and sustains the stem and leaves the coffee mixture is not only rich in antioxidants and trace minerals but also stimulates root regeneration and promotes recovery after pruning but when the roots are properly nourished the leaves will grow greener sturdier and the plant will gradually regain its natural vitality ready for the next blooming cycles place the orchid pot in a spot with soft sunlight avoiding harsh direct rays gentle light helps the plant photosynthesize effectively without leaf burn supporting balanced recovery and growth I won’t waste the remaining solution I’ll use it to mist other orchids in the garden those resting preparing to sprout flower buds or recently pruned misting with this diluted coffee solution allows leaves to absorb a small amount of nutrients through their epidermis enhancing resilience making leaves glossier and preventing pests during seasonal transitions especially for hanging orchids or those grown on tree bark misting is an ideal care method providing gentle nutrients without water logging when maintained every 10 to 15 days orchids will recover quickly sprout vigorously and be ready for a new blooming season and here are the results after three weeks of care you can see very clearly many new roots have started to grow this is the most positive and clear sign that our orchid is recovering well and gradually adapting to its new environment these young roots are not only beautiful but also very healthy steadily reaching out and anchoring firmly to the medium creating a stable root system that helps the plant absorb water and nutrients more effectively from this foundation new leaves will continue to appear thicker and sturdier preparing for a vibrant and longer lasting blooming cycle than before all this comes from a little patience a simple method and the love you give your plant every day join me in admiring the blooming moments in my garden today those delicate petals are the result of persistent care patience and daily love 1. Merci.

  2. I want to know why you state the pink salt trick works when you add three ingredients from your own kitchen cupboards when in fact you listen to all this and at the end it’s a tablet you buy. This is misleading information that you are using and the ingredients are not in your cupboard at all and you can’t start using it today which is another fictional example. Why can’t you be honest from the beginning ???? Jenny

  3. Won’t misting cause Crown rot? In Dendrobium orchids misting ends up in crown rot..
