So I was slightly bothered when the front brake cable touches the front wheel when folded, potentially getting damaged when rolling with front wheel. Many users said it’s normal, but I still tried something.
I used a rubber strap and a zip tie to catch the cable to the eyelet on the fork. This way, when folding the bike, the rubber strap will pull the cable so that it flips upwards, not downwards. Therefore it stays above the chain and no longer touches the front wheel. And I carefully checked the entire process and made sure the cable is not pinched or stretched. Only thing is that it slightly touches the chain and gets some chain lube on the cable. But the chain doesn’t move when folded so there’s no risk of damage. Also, since the rubber strap provides some friction when zip-tied to the cable, the zip tie does not have to be very tight in order to stay in place. It doesn’t even leave a mark on the cable.

Did anyone try this method? Almost feel like it works better than original design? Anything I’m missing? Thanks.
(Well if you have a rack, or never roll the bike with front wheel touching ground, then you don’t have to worry about this)
