Hi, I've been riding a road bike for the last 2 years and I've been wanting a change to a more comfortable bike as I think it would suit my lifestyle more (I'm not fussed about speed). I've been considering building up a bike from a custom frame the last few weeks however this bike popped up on marketplace and I'm thinking about picking it up and making some adjustments instead as it would be cheaper than a full custom build.
I'd like the bike as an all rounder: commuting, errands, all terrain but 95% roads in a hilly area.
I'm 6'2 so the bike should fit fine.
As for the changes I would like to revert it back to flat handlebars similar to the 3rd picture and add fenders + rear pannier. From the pictures do you think there is enough clearance to add fenders? How much would these adjustments likely cost?
Would lowering the seat of the bike and raising the handlebars achieve the comfort I'm looking for?
