I just bought this 90s Brompton Type-L 3speed. I was told it is this model but I'm not sure. The owners barely used them and stored them away for 30 years or so. Next to it is my C Line. It is so different than my new one that I would love to hear any opinions about what to change on the Type-L to bring it up to date or more comfortable for my wife.
So far I've noticed that the lack of a latch for the rear of the bike makes moving it around more combersome. The grips have no padding and the shifter is useable but very inconvenient. A lot of the parts look more handmade and vintage, which just adds to the vibe.
Thanks for any input! I love these bikes!
