Walton Summit Branch Junction (The branch is the original route of Lancaster Canal.) is on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Main Line – Wigan to Leeds), 9 miles and 1½ furlongs to the north. Monk Hall Bridge No 59 (End of navigation) is on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Original Route of Lancaster Canal), 1 furlong to the southeast.
