I show you a great way to find the best trails in Finland. It’s a web service called jalki.fi. Cyclists upload their routes to the service and everyone can download the GPX files of the routes that make navigation easy.

[Music] [Music] are only buses oh there it is there it is found [Applause] it yeah the bike’s still there my wife left early with the with the car and my bike and I came by train and uh next I will need to Navigate to navigate to the destination which is [Music] I can show you a great way to find the best trails to ride in Finland and uh with this service you can also find the trails for mountain biking but also for cycle Crossing and then create routes to ride on road so let’s go the service is called Yi fi j a l Ki fi this service promises to show the best Ro roots on a map and this is the service that I used when I was in punga so I searched the local roots and I found that there are three Roots so this was the basis of my ride and here it is on a map under the map there is this profile of the route easy to see where are the best downhills and where you need to climb and then there’s also a short description of the route and then the facts the type is mountain biking the length is 21 km and the total elevation 478 M and the best thing about this is that you can download a gbx file to your phone so the roots are easy to navigate while riding there are a couple of drawbacks in the service and the first one is the language this is available only in Finnish so if you don’t know any Finnish hook up with the local hook and then use this service for you another drawback is that most of the routs are in the southwestern part of the Finland which kind of loosely follows the population distribution in Finland but there are Roots also in eastern Finland and the northern Finland and let’s see if I can find any facts So currently there are8 73 routs 184 for the road and 599 for mountain biking and then 89 categorized as a cycle cross rots all the rots are recorded by cyclists and this is growing all the time so this is a good starting point if you don’t know any Trails on the location where are you staying [Applause]
