I volunteer at a local nonprofit bike shop, have been there since last November. All this time I’ve been waiting for a mountain bike to get donated in my size so I can buy it. I’m 6’2 & 275 lbs. Last week this guy just came in, and I snapped it up. It’s a large size Trek Wahoo that fits me great. It has some sweet upgrades on it too. I honestly haven’t even had time to put it in the stand, but I will asap. I guess the first thing I need to give attention to is the brakes & forks. The mechanical disc brakes gotta go, swap those out for some Shimano mt200’s. Then the crappy Suntour forks. I’m a big guy so I need to get a decent front fork/shocks that will handle my big ass. Unfortunately it has a straight steering tube, with quick release. Can anyone recommend a decent fork that will work on this bike? Better yet, sell me one? Thanks in advance. Stoked to finally have my first Trek!
