After some annoying creaking I took apart pivot joints to find these bearing washers/covers. They seem somewhat low quality specially on the edge which seems to be made of a thin plastic that looks like doesn’t provide much protection against external elements. Regardless of the size/type all bearings on the bike have these.
Since found lot of dirt built up on the edges of the outer bearing race I am wondering if there is any alternative, better quality washer or cover that I could use instead and provide better deflection against dirt and other contaminants. Any advise?
Side note. I cleaned and greased all up and noises are gone. For now.
