Spent last weekend changing out my group set. Did all the work myself and worked through some issues. Very satisfying to learn and do the work myself!
Went with the purple chain to add a bit of flair (and b/c the bike has iridescent accents that go between blue and purple).
The brakes are quite the upgrade in terms of feel and amount of fingers you can get around the hood. Bleeding the brakes was pretty straightforward but it took me about 4 tries to get the front brakes just right. Had a lot of air in the line for some reason.
The shifting is good (but it was good before with the rival set I had too)
Very glad I did the work myself. Learned a ton along the way. Did go by my LBS b/c I couldn’t get the rotor to stop lightly rubbing the pad on the back brakes. I couldn’t fathom that a new rotor could come out of the box warped, but thats exactly what it was. We straightened it out in like 5 minutes.
