Well, the problem did not arise today, but a long time ago. It is surprising that serious funds have not yet been invested to solve this problem. The problem is not in the reactors or, more precisely, not in their functions. The functions are all in perfect order. Indeed, the controlled decay energy is going well. There is not enough temperature, there is not enough cold water to remove heat from fuel assemblies, plus 40. On the thermometer in France, this means that the water is warm, very warm. There are two nuclear power plants that use the so-called direct cooling of the reactors. Water is taken from the river upstream, passes through heat exchangers and returns downstream. Now the temperature is so high that, firstly, a problem arises for the nuclear reactors themselves. Not all the temperature can be removed, it is not possible to operate in normal mode. And at the same time, questions arise for environmentalists. Water that has passed through the heat exchanger disrupts the ecology of the rivers, so to speak. Problems arise with living creatures, with vegetation, and so on. Problems arise regularly, since such temperature records began to be noted. This is, in my opinion, the third time, the same problem. Why is there no desire to solve it? Let me remind you that in Russia since 2015, the construction of such nuclear power plants with such a cooling mode has been simply prohibited. Only cooling towers, only dry cooling towers. But we have seen all of this. Recently, we have been showing footage from the same Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant quite often. These are both spray installations and cooling towers themselves. That is, technologically, all of this can be solved. For what reasons does the DF company not deal with these problems, does not sort out these problems? It is difficult for me to say. There is a suspicion that the energy crisis that arose in France in 21 was solved by providing subsidies to the population and business. In order to receive these subsidies, money was withdrawn from the DF company. Maybe, in connection with this, it is not possible to collect any extra money to invest. How France intends to solve this problem, we will observe. But for now, we will simply record. Given what is happening with the weather, such options for cooling the reactor core obviously should not be used. It is too much trouble for us. The unified energy system has enough problems without it, especially in the last couple of years. This is on the one hand. On the other hand, we can look at how projects are implemented in Belarus. There is no river, no sea. Mm, look at how this was solved in Novo Voronezh. And actually, since Kazakhstan has made a decision on who will build the nuclear power plant, and Kazakhstani specialists can travel and see how it all looks, because the water issue is really important for Kazakhstan. Every year, unfortunately, the issue of looking at how the Belarusian nuclear power plant is working, how the Novorozhsk nuclear power plant is working is becoming more and more pressing. Both have the VVR-1200 reactors in question. In the case of building a nuclear power plant on Lake Balkhash, in order to make sure that there are options for solving the problem without wasting extra water and to carefully select them. For some reason I have a strong suspicion. I don’t even know what it is based on, but there is simply the example of Uzbekistan, which, before making a final decision on the reactor, was studied for more than 3 years on site in Russia, where what, how it works, in what modes. And if anyone paid attention, then initially the discussion was in the case of a large nuclear power plant for Uzbekistan two VVR1200 reactors, then at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum they were talking about two reactors of 1,000 MW. This suggests that this is a thousandth VVR. Many believe that this is a reactor of the previous generation, but in fact all the necessary safety systems that respond to the post-Fukushima code, the so-called MAGT, are there. The VVR thousandth is not only the most massive, we have not yet caught up with the number of VVR1200, which was built in serial Soviet times. And I think that this will be the project that was implemented in China at the Tianwan nuclear power plant and which was implemented in India at the Kudankulam nuclear power plant. Or, accordingly, the same thing happens in the summer, but this is a hot calm, that is, high temperature and no wind, which, unfortunately, we had to observe last year in the united energy system of the south in Russia. The temperature in the south is under 40°, exactly what we are now observing in Europe, and the wind speed is about 5 m/s. And, accordingly, what has happened here is what has been repeatedly warned about, what we did not insure ourselves against. In the united energy system of the south, the share of installed capacity of wind generation reaches 12%. 12% of the installed capacity simply stopped working. The same thing is happening in Europe. But since this is not the first time they have this, they already have a rough idea of ​​what to expect. And now there is an increased demand for gas. And, oddly enough, for coal. There is no climatic influence here. The demand for electricity is growing. Air conditioners are turned on not only at home, but also in many other rooms where it is necessary to work. These are offices, shops, factories, where they are still preserved, factories and so on and so forth. Accordingly, due to traditional generation, Europe should be able to get through this next warm calm, and then enjoy the weather. Let’s hope that the plans voiced by the Ministry of Energy of Russia quite recently, literally the day before yesterday, on July 1, at one of the forums, the Deputy Minister of Energy voiced a new initiative. In order to avoid interruptions in electricity in the united energy system of the South, it is necessary to install energy storage systems. An excellent solution that allows you to really store energy in times of excess generation, and give it away when there is demand. At the same time, no one made any calculations does not provide. How many times such equipment will withstand the charge-discharge cycle is unknown. The cost is known to be approximately the same as it would take to build new power plants in the south. Let’s hope that this decision will not be implemented. spend money on batteries and in the same amount that it would take to build new power plants. An amazing decision. Another thing is that this, of course, somewhat disrupts the plans to fill underground gas storage facilities to 90% by November 1, a standard introduced in 2021 by the European Commission. If anyone follows the Western press, last week the German national government lowered this standard to 80% and, in my opinion, it was wise to do so because Germany has the largest underground gas storage facility. Experience shows that they are not emptied during the heating season, so setting dates for yourself to strive to buy more and more volumes, thereby raising prices, is not very reasonable.
