about Charente and Angoulême? So we are in Angoulême, we are barely two
hours away from Paris, an hour by car from Bordeaux, very close to the Atlantic
coast. You live here? Yes, I live here. I think it is a city of human size and at
the same time which is active at the cultural level, because we have the
festival of the comic book in January, we have the Cirque des Remparts in
September. The film festival? At the end of August, yes, which is
starting to take on a really large scale. It is also a very young city, there are
many students in Angoulême. More and more students, there are many
students who come from schools, for the schools of cinema, of image,
it is an active city. It is a pole of cultural excellence and
for the audiovisual. You should know that here you have
production companies that produce cartoons, I will not quote the names,
but very well known, there is one that I love, among other things, but full of
other things. There are many young people who come out
of schools here, who end up at Pixar, for example. You go out in the old
town, it is very lively, it is very joyful, there is really
an atmosphere that I love. I am always in Angoulême. We have offices, which are often just next
door, which we can see almost from here. When I say that everything is human size,
I personally ride my bike all the time, so it is true that it is a pleasant city
to live. We talked about Angoulême, where are we
today? In which neighborhood already? So here we are on the edge of the
Charente, in the Lumeau neighborhood, which is a neighborhood that is developing
a lot. Yes, I saw a lot of renovations on the
way. Yes, a lot of renovations. We are very close to
the Alfa, our magnificent media house, which
is quite exceptional. Architecturally, it’s really beautiful. At the same time, we are therefore on the
edge of the Charente, near the coulée verte, which is a big walk, it is the way
to Halage along the Charente. It is very open, we can bike, we can walk. The Charente is right there, in front of
us. We are in an absolutely exceptional place
for the city. Yes, it is quite exceptional to say that
we are at the heart of the neighborhood, here, next to the Charente, the coulée
verte, which you talked about. There is no vis-à-vis, I see no neighbors,
while there are houses all around. The loft is a terrace roof that covers the
entire surface. Let’s talk about the terrace. We are on the terrace. Absolutely. We have this 8-meter-long pool,
which has been conditioned by the weight of the water, but everything has been
calculated. The structure has been built for it. Absolutely. We have this terrace surface, which is 250
square meters. We are in an apartment, but we really feel
like we are in the middle of the greenery, since we have all these plants,
these trees, which really bring greenery. And with the large glass windows,
we really have a life inside and outside. There, you have 250 meters of terrace,
it’s like you have a garden in the city, in your apartment, and with these
openings, as you said, you open everything wide, you go in, you go out, it’s a single
large volume. That’s it, absolutely. It’s crazy, it’s crazy, I love it,
I love it. However, I am not too
connected to the loft, but I must say that the
effect is quite impressive. Can you, just as we talked about this
terrace, describe to us what we find inside? So, inside, we have a
magnificent living room, which is about 100 square meters
in total, with an open kitchen. Which gives on this terrace. Which gives on this terrace, all the rooms
give on this terrace, including the three bedrooms, which originally were supposed
to give on the back of the building, more to the north. But a mezzanine was created for each room,
each of these three rooms, so that it also benefits from the south exhibition and the
view, this magnificent view of Angoulême. So we have three beautiful rooms, which
are between 25 and 28 square meters each. What is the total area? The total area, we have 245 square meters
of apartments. Plus the 250 square meters of terraces? Almost 500 square meters? That’s it. And plus the little bonus, is that we have
a 45 square meter studio, which is holding, which can be considered as a
location, Airbnb, something like that. Okay, yes, because the entrance is
completely distinct. We arrive in a hall, then we arrive in a
first floor, where on one side we have this 45 square meter
studio with its own entrance, and on the
other side the room itself. So it’s totally distinct. Absolutely. And in addition to these three rooms,
we have a parental suite, right at the end of the building, which gives itself
directly on the terrace with a large window, which means that in the summer you
can bring your bed outside. The bed is on wheels. The bed is on wheels, I was telling
myself, with all this vegetation that hides you, the view of the stars on a
summer day, but it must be crazy. I mean, you take your
bed out there on the terrace, you take your champagne
in your bed on your terrace. That’s it. Why not? So everything is possible here,
it’s really an extraordinary asset. We are on two levels,
finally, with these mezzanines which are
above this shaded part. I think it’s the most original loft I’ve
seen in Angoulême. All the codes of the industrial loft are
there, but there is no coldness. Absolutely. Even the lighting buttons, the lights and
all that, they are big buttons, it looks like machinery, tool machines
that you find in factories. And we have a vegetal roof, which is
important above the living room, which requires almost
no maintenance, but which allows to keep a certain
