The Transfăgărășan, also known as DN7C, stretches for 90 kilometers through the heart of Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, connecting Transylvania and Wallachia. Built between 1970 and 1974 as a strategic military route, this engineering marvel climbs to an altitude of 2,042 meters, making it the second-highest paved road in Romania. With over 80 hairpin bends, 5 tunnels, more than 500 bridges, and endless serpentines, it’s a true paradise for motorcycle enthusiasts seeking adrenaline, technical riding, and breathtaking scenery.
