[Music] Hi guys, welcome back to Resolution. And as you can see, I’m at the ABR Festival 2025. It is the Friday. It’s about 2:00 in the afternoon. Absolutely packed out. So many bikes everywhere, but this year we’ve actually gone for something a little bit different. We got a vehicle and at the back of it we have got highway maintenance cuz uh that’s how we roll. But we’ve got a setup a setup like we have never had before at ABR Festival. And I’m going to show you what that setup is all about. So we got a solar panel. We got a caravan. Look at this setup. What a setup. We’ve got unlimited power. Batteries are topped up. We got off-road bike one, 200cc. Off-road bike 2, 125cc. Caravan. Dave’s going to take his uh S1000 XR on the off-road trail. No, he’s not really. He’s not. He hasn’t got the balls. Have you?

No, he doesn’t want to break a decent bike smashing it around offro. Uh, let’s take you inside. our humble abode. Here we go. Seating area so we can sit down.

Yeah, I had one. It was sat indoors. Um right. So, it needs a bloody good run.
Okay. So, what what we’ll do then is get it up and then get ready. Start go. Um, okay. Cool. Right. I’ll see you guys in a second. No, no, it’s a fully electric. What’s that then?
Oh, that’s probably a kicker that’s not on there. Well, that’s a bit silly, isn’t it? He didn’t put a kicker on the bike for me. Genius.
So, I could I could kickstart it.
I could kickstart it, but no. So, I’m trying to sort the bike. Well, Dave’s trying to sort the bike out. I’m just saying I’m sorting the bike out because it went over in the tent in the tent in the uh Right. You’re holding that. You You can hold that and you can film cuz it’s wireless Mike. So, right. Right. So, we got to try and get this electric.

Okay. See if we got to spark out the HT lead. Shouldn’t that just spark out onto it? Well, no, cuz you’re supposed to have that in there. [Music] The gap gap should be fine, but I don’t know what the gap is at. But
just without it in gear, mate. Without in gear. See if Ready? Yeah. Nothing. It’s got no spark at all. Got no spark. You’re literally working yesterday. Was I say like it’s ether that like we we literally straight away we’ve got no spark at all. So hold on. If you get that with a rubber end. No, no. The uh Allen key, put that inside the HT lead. It will spark out onto that, won’t it? Oh, yeah. I’ll just get But can you see it coming?
There’s nothing, mate.
Can when I fire it up in there, can you look inside the HT lead and see it sparking?

Okay. So, if it’s earthed out, let’s see if it does on the pancakes. There’s nothing. You’ve got literally no start. No wonder it’s not starting up. Thing is, it didn’t go right over on it. No, it literally just lent over against Holly’s bike, but fuel spilled out. The other option we’ve got is we could take it. I could pop over to the AA and say to him, “Look,
yeah, cuz I’ve got a I’ve got a multimeter, but that’s not that ain’t going to do any. They’re going to have to They’re going to have to have a quick look at it.” So, look, so if I turn If I actually do it again, I need I think the kill switch was on. Just standby. Yeah, we got a spark. Hey,

I’m used to Holly’s one, which the kill switch is the wrong way round. Anything like that for a day.

Right. So, we started the day with a bike that didn’t start. Flat battery. Um, but we’re getting there now. We’re getting there. Dave’s going to go out on a test ride for a,100 SX and we’re going to go on the off-road trails and see what happens. I’m going to put some cameras on the bike and uh on my lid. Right. So, I need to get this into neutral.

It’s an old bike. It’s a on charge. They’ve just decased cuz the bucket the bucket of bolts may not start yet. Yeah. So, it’s an old bike. It’s actually a 20 uh 2006, but it’s got a choke cuz it’s cheap, but it’s 200 cc. That’s a 150 uh 125. So, let’s get these back on. Hear it sucking in there, can’t you? Yeah. Hondu Gy 5 uh 200 not 500 200 got some nice I think these are Bridgestone uh super trail star are they Bridgestone I can’t remember what they bought no idea what brand they were uh right so we need to jump the bike keep it running and then just get out of here hopefully the audio is okay put the gain right down So you can hopefully hear me. So I’ll keep holding the revs up a little bit. The revolution mechanic is at work with his BMW kit on. What a cracking ride. Oh, I can quick shift it. I can quick shift it, people. Oh, what we got here? What we got here? Oh [Â __Â ] Oh, definitely had to stand up on that one. Breaking tight corner. Bit of sand. Back end slides. Giggity giggity. That’s neutral. Oh [Â __Â ] Right, I’m all over the show now, people. All over the show. All right, now she’s in front. I’ll tell you what, you need like a a breathing mask if you come on this trail. Yeah, we [Music] Oh, yes. Right, I’m going to sit down. First gear it. Oh, big bump. Lovely. First gear round. Up we go. Second gear. Put round where I want to go. Oh, there’s a bulg there. Oh, I lost it. I saved it. I saved it. I hit the chicane, but I saved it. I hit the chicane. I hit the boulder, but I saved it. I did not come off. Oh, yeah. Woo. That was That was good fun. That was good fun. Almost split. Almost split off the bike [Music] and zip down. [Music] Cool little track. They’ve really done well getting this um track together. Fabia, [Music] look at these two. Honda Monkey. Old school Honda. Love it. Oh, now look at this. That is a route and a half. I’m going to bring it down a gear again. Oh, mate. This This is insane. This That was almost It felt vertical. That felt absolutely ridiculous. What a route. ABR. Yes. Again, it is cheap Chinese motorcycleycling. So, I’ve bottled it. I’ve bottled it. I do not want to stall it. If I stall it. [Music] Bring it on. Congratulations. You’ve completed the Bridgestone Trail. All right. So, I’m back from my ride, first ride at ABR on the off-road course, and it was unbelievable. Really, really enjoyed it. Now, the problem I had with the uh Hongdu or Hong Hongju uh I’m going to sneeze was that the battery decided to depart the bike. Um it was absolutely fine. There was no issues with it. However, I think the off-road track just got the better of the bike. Um, and it decided to completely disengage from the bike and shoot off down the road. Well, I say down the road on the off-road track. Um, so the AA have said cuz the AA just over in the far corner, they’ve said if I can get a hold of a motorcycle battery, they will manage to fit it for me for the weekend so I can carry on using it. So, let’s have a quick look and see how bad the battery situation is on the bike. So, as you can see down here, um it was all kept together quite tight by a ratchet strap, but you can see here the plastic battery cover or mount sat here is completely gone. It’s obviously ripped apart the uh the wiring. I mean, this is for some fog lights that don’t work. Um see your positive wire, your your ground wire there completely uh put. So, I’m going to have to try and get that rectified as soon as possible. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to find more um well, don’t know if I’m going to be able to find a battery at the ABR because it’s pretty much all motorcycle uh equipment rather than batteries. But I might have a quick look online, see if I can find uh something somewhere that’s close by that I can grab hold of a battery. Um Holly’s bike though, Holly’s bike done very well. She’s got a bit of a throttle issue, so it’s um I mean these handlebars, look at how mullered that is. Absolutely mullered. But it works. That’s the main thing. I mean, the size of this tire, she’s rolling on a 1 Z907 in uh MT60 Pirelli MT60 on the front. And that I mean, look at the width of that tire. Absolutely ridiculous. And then I’ll go to my off-road tire. I do that. I completely cover the tire. So Holly’s off-road bike looks more like a road bike with the tire like the BMW. Nice fat front tire. The rear is a proper le size side of the studs on that proper. Not really. Um but yeah, this this done really well. Look at this. You won’t see the state of my trousers though. I mean, let’s have a look at my my boots for a starter. Look at the state of these. You can see You can see a difference in color there. Absolutely filthy. Look at this one. But we better get used to that because this could be our lifestyle soon. Uh a look at the difference in color just from uh one lap around. Of course, laptop plugged in. all that power. Honestly, power supplies, they don’t last. The solar panels, they just last and last. It’s brilliant. It’s nice and sunny. We got unlimited power. Very nice. Uh Triumph. [Music] Two Triumphs. Beautiful bikes. More bikes out over there. I love this setup. This tent is not for this caravan. I mean, it doesn’t fit at all. It’s just ridiculous. But it works. Love this bike. Look at that. So nice. Let’s have a look at the solar panel. See if the solar panel is still holding. [Music] Direct sunlight. It’s almost a mirror. Hello. That keep us powered up for the weekend. But this is literally how busy the festival is. They got tents in every little space we can possibly imagine. Um down that way. More motorcycles. I mean, we’ve actually got a really good pitch up here. That’s Honda uh Rebel 1100. Cracking bike to ride. Yeah. Look at this. This is AVR. [Music] Now, I think I might have said in a previous video that I’m liking the idea of a Let’s actually walk through here. I’m liking the idea of a um KTM 890 Adventure R for what I might have installed in next year or two. The only issue is it’s reliability. I’m not too sure. So, I’m a bit torn at the moment as what to get. So, but I’ve seen a lot of them at this festival. So many. So, it might be something to uh test ride really. The last thing I want to do is get stuck about 2 hours ride from civilization. Gives you an idea where I might be going somewhere that has a lot of nowhere. Um, and then it doesn’t work. So, yeah, we shall see. Right, let’s go around the festival site. That’s really unique. Yeah. [Music] bridge. I didn’t know Dave Waters was here. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Well, Dave’s found his new motorcycle. Bit of a Harley fan, aren’t you, Dave? Yeah, definitely a cheap version. What you to it? Actually, sit on it normally. I’ll see if I can actually see you through it. Yeah, I can literally just see your head. Definitely not a motorcycle that you’ll be buying. I think I think if you did go to buy it, you’d um end up divorced paying me 40 grand for a motorcycle. I was going to say something else. It’ be a straight straight straight straight through YMCA. I think for me, although that’s more you there, that one there, mate. [Music] No, I mean cruising down the highway in a country that I’m thinking about maybe, but no, I reckon it would be good fun. Think is some some places you got to have the the bike for the adventure, haven’t you? Like if we went if we went to the Pacific Coast Highway in America, rode from San Francisco all the way down to LA, you’d have to get a big Harley Cruiser.
I’d rather do it off road. Oh yeah. And then and then that’s the whole theme with this place.
And then get down to um LA, taking a venture bike across to Thank you.
taking adventure bike across to um Las Vegas and then through Monument Valley, Death Valley, right back up to San Francisco again off road. It’s not like you planned it.
No, I’ve just planned it for absolutely ages. Yeah. And now we’re not going to be able to do it.
Yeah. Well, we will maybe, but we’ll hopefully be somewhere somewhere better where one of us wins the lottery. Well, yeah. Hopefully somewhere I’m not going to be able to pay for it. Not a child and a wife.
Yeah. Hopefully we’ll be somewhere better where we can um do that on a regular basis. [Music] [Music] Right. So, I’ve lost my battery. Uh, now I need to find a new battery. So, hopefully I can find one. There is a HLA is only 20 minutes away. So, if I get desperate, I can pop to HLA’s 20 minutes away, grab a battery, and grab a load of kit just to try and seal it up. at the moment. Support bracket. [Music] So, the place where we’re hopefully moving to, I’m just giving you guys um some ideas throughout this year. Uh, try and get into sunlight. There we go. Into sunlight. Um, this is the kind of vehicle that I’m gonna want. That this is going to be perfect for where we’re hopefully going and we can get some decent adventures. I mean, look at this beast. It’s going to have a full rack as well. Yeah, this is going to be absolutely spot on for where we go one day. I mean, look at the height of me against this. I know I’m short, but come on. If I get hit by that thing, I’m getting absolutely blown to pieces. Um Oh, there’s a lot of people over here. What we got going on over here? Standing on the lost. Who is it?

Yeah. with all the clothes. My sle is uh a bit stuck. I hear something. So, all the t-shirts for this year’s ABR festival have completely sold out. I mean, it’s towards the end of the first day here and they’re gone. So, I won’t be getting one for this year and unless I can find one on eBay, but yeah, I won’t be getting one at all. So, that is ABR Festival completely sold out of t-shirts, but I still haven’t found a battery. Hopefully, I can uh I can get one somewhere because it’s going to be a trip to Halies otherwise. So, I might have found a solution to my problems battery charging pack and uh I’ll fire it up and see what happens. Other than that, if that doesn’t work later, I think it might be a case of going to Halfords and buying a battery, but that should sort me out. I can take it with me and go from there.
