I’m an avid MTBer who is interested in getting into bike packing. I have five bikes and would like to avoid the expense of getting another. I have this 1990 Trek that I turned into a gravel bike a couple years ago. It has a steel frame, 700c wheels w/ 40mm tires, vbrakes, Velo Crazy Bars (with horns), 2×10 drivetrain. It rides pretty well although it’s so tall it starts to feel unsteady above 20MPH. Do you think this bike will work?
