Here we go, episode two. We try to chase wins to increase the standings of our main rider such that we can upgrade the training structures. Most of the races are recorded fine but one or two still have the fps drop in the recording so I am lowering the graphics in an attempt to solve that.

So, welcome back everyone to the San Marino challenge, but it’s actually Iceland the second episode. Um, what I think we’re going to do is just I will play the game and whenever there’s something nice, something important showing up, I will come back to you and talk about it. Okay, one thing I forgot to do actually is this. I didn’t use any of the facilities. I know that moneywise you have to watch out that you don’t really uh go below any any threshold. Luckily, if you look at our finances here, uh we got a few winnings from the tour of Sharia because actually we won the mountain classification. So that’s pretty nice. Anyway, if you look at this, you will see that we will not go below the zero line. So, we have about uh 200,000 to invest in our facilities. So I propose to do tires on, you know, our best riders, best two riders, uh, which is then about 50k gone, which means I still have one about 150 left over. And the good thing, uh, Johnson here is a time trialist. Maybe we can, you know, win some races with some nice time trial uh addition. So, we’ll do the two of these. I’m not going to spend that on Johnson, though. Um yeah, that’s about it. I think we will have some left over. Okay. Um let’s get back to racing. I’ll come back to you if something nice happened. I’m trying I will try to record all of the um races I do and hopefully something nice happens. Okay, this is an important one. Our sprinter has quite good race day condition. Let’s hope we can do something about it. And let’s just maybe to be sure attack with Gunnar. There we go. Okay, let’s let’s do these guys. Come on. We have a really good chance of scoring some points here because there’s not that much people in the palaton in here. So, let’s hope we can do something nice. Let’s go. We have a very good sprint go train going on here. Maybe maybe we can score some nice one. Let’s try sprinting immediately here. I am actually so excited. We can win this. I think we can. The pelaton is doing nothing. Nothing at all. Holy Let’s go, Johnson. You can do it. Hell yes. One, two, even. Nice. So, our first win for our Icelandic Vikings. Holy So, this is actually insane. um our first one day race, we survived the climb and then just by having a nice nice train, we actually win. I did not expect this. Holy But it was our our opportunity, you know. It was our first opportunity to actually do this. The opposition wasn’t, you know, insane. uh was a quite small pelaton. So just finally only got our first um train on the rails without crazy stronger teams that us derailing it. So that’s insane. Let’s see. Let’s look at the podium. The nice Icelandic jersey over there. Amazing. and even just a top like four for four for four of our riders in the top 10. Amazing. Let’s see. It was a 1.2 race, so we’re not going to get uh crazy stuff from that. I think it was this one. Yeah, it was this one. So, we’ll get 40 points for that, which is about a tenth of what we need to get that top 200 place to actually advance our team. That’s insane. All right, for um the next trace, we have Taleri. So, let’s check here what we can get from points. So first of all we have classification on time provisional which means after every race uh in this tour um who is on the first place will get one point. Then we have the stage we will only get seven points. So as you can see on a 1.2 race you will get 40 points for a win. A 2.2 two race you will only get seven points for a win and then for the classification on time the final classification on time you will also get 40 points. So that really means that one day races are way more valuable, but we have to to get that top 200, we have to make sure we can get every point we can. And the good part about these African races is that there’s not many teams applying for them. So the chances of us getting points in these races are so much higher. Of course, we have mainly sprinters. Luckily, the tour Deljeri has mainly sprinting races. We want to aim, of course, for that final win. There’s no seconds at the intermediate sprints and no seconds at the finish, which means actually we just have to make sure we win every single race. Let’s just try our best and and see whatever uh happens. Bit of a worse race day for our main sprinter. So, we’ll see how we’ll do. Um we want to just end up super high. What I’m going to do, I’m going to attack with one of them, one of our teammates, just to make sure that it is chased down at the end. Uh that’s usually how it goes in Proycling Manager. If you attack suddenly, they will chase you down. Um as you can see here as well, they’re immediately doing it. They will they’ll catch me and then Oh, they’re actually continuing. Crazy, huh? Okay, let’s see. Um let’s protect these guys then. So, the train is set up now. Let’s see if we can win this thing. Ah, this is going to be hard. I’m going to start printing with this guy immediately. Omarson, let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s sprint. Johnson. Johnson. Johnson. Other Johnson. Uh, top five. I think top five. Yeah, top five. I mean, I can be happy with that actually. Good results. Okay, second stage of the uh Talgari. We are in luck. Johnson is in good shape for today. So, let’s hope we can fight for that victory. Okay, we have the train set up here for the final sprint. Uh let’s see how it goes. Let’s hammer it. Make sure to use the gels. Oh, wow. They’re fast. Jesus Christ. Can’t do on 99. Let’s make sure that the others all have their gels activated as well. Four. Let’s go. Come on. Was a small hill. Can only start sprinting with these guys. Goodmanson. We’re going quite fast. See where the finish is. So, it’s just a straight road. 99 on this guy. I know it’s not perfect, but maybe we can follow. Okay, one and a half to go. Let’s sprint with I I think I started too late. Yeah, started way too late with sprinting. Let’s slow down here with Omar on to make sure that Johnson passes him. Ninth. I mean, it’s fine, I guess. Just a little bit unfortunate. Great news. We have finally scouted our first uh Icelandic guide. And it’s actually our son as you as we generated in the beginning of this uh safe. I hope we will get some other Icelandic people in there. Let’s Let’s see if maybe Yeah, none at the moment, unfortunately. Uh but at least we have our son being scouted now. He’s good at mountain hills and sprint. Usually that means he’s he’s quite at everything together, but we already know that he’s at least three and a half starts in potential. So, let’s hope we can use this guy to get Iceland up there. All right, here we go. Um, stage three, I think. Uh, Johnson again with a good race day condition, so I’m really happy about that. Oh no, it’s the wrong one. Oh Oh well, we’ll we’ll try our best. At least the lead out will be okay. Our both lead out uh men are actually doing quite well this day. Um so yeah, let’s just stay in the pelaton again. Just make sure that no one reaches the finish line outside of the pelaton first. Okay, let’s set up our train. most one of the day definitely our Norwegian guy. Let’s do Omaron before Johnson and then our main sprinter. I am also wondering I mean this Johnson so with the 63 sprint is slightly older than the other one. And since his hill stat is better, I’m wondering if if we can sprint stat up, he will actually outperform the um the older brother at some point. But I mean, we chose now to focus on on this guy for the first year. So maybe in the next season, we’ll focus on the other one. In any case, let’s go sprinting. 10k to go. Let’s take a small look at the finish line. It looks to be in a corner. So, which means we could start sprinting early. That would be nice, of course. Okay. Oh, and it’s also going downhill. Okay, we have to start sprinting early. Uh let’s see if we can get going with uh our Norwegian lead. Wow. Actually, already we’re quite close to the to the finish line. Uh, we’re going just 99 on everyone now to hopefully line up for a very good result here. This is looking good. This is looking good. I I like this a lot. Let’s go. Goodmanson. They’re not following. They’re not following. Let’s go. Actually, maybe a bit early with Omar son. We’re going. We’re going. We’re going. We might win this. We might actually might win this. Okay, slow down, Johnson. Uh, and we’re going to try to create a gap by breaking with we might have probably didn’t get a gap there. It’s It’s what we could try to do. Let’s look at the podium. This is amazing. One, two, three, four, and five. Finally, a good lead out. We are still on extreme difficulty, by the way. It’s just these small races, they have riders that are just not as good. So, if you get that um that lineup going well, you can really destroy the AI here. And we went up to third place in the in the GC which is super super nice climber in in the points classifications also into third place. That’s awesome. And we’re first in Young Rider. Amazing. I’m I’m I’m actually super happy with this result. only only seven points unfortunately and no separation as we expected result but it’s also nice that our second and third rider got points because it it could mean that we go up already to pro next year which would be absolutely insane okay I think this is the fourth stage I believe when we look at the finish we see it’s uphill so I am afraid eight that the sprinter Johnson brother will have a tough time getting up there and the other one we we he has or extra hill stats with the race day condition as well might be a better option today. We’ll see how it goes. I still want to have the the the older brother as our main guy for the season for him to get the points to get in that top 200. So, we’ll try to focus on him, but otherwise maybe a win wouldn’t be bad for our bank balance anyway uh with the other one. We’ll see how it goes. Okay, 15k to go. Let’s set up set up our sprint train here. I will try to focus on to see who has Beth Hill stats as well. Um yeah, then Johnson level 60 the other one. Yeah, like this. Let’s try that. Let’s try that. 14K to go. Let’s go, guys. We can do this. We can do this. Luckily, we have this guy in front of us for a bit of draft. Uh, and the hill is coming up quite soon. Let’s put it at 90 then. And then 99 for the uphill bit. Um, let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Keep at the front. That’s really the most important right now. Let’s pop the um gel on all of our riders. It’s already out. Of course, it’s not easy with the hill here. Is it maybe useful to follow this guy here? Yeah, maybe it is just to be sure now and then we can go with Johnson for the sprint. But that might be a bit too early. 99. Yeah. Now we sprint. Now we sprint. Now we sprint. Let’s go. Johnson. Johnson. Top three again. That’s actually good. I am super happy with that. And it seems like we also have a gap. Let’s drop you to zero. to make sure we have that gap. We might not have Damn it. There would have been a good opportunity to have at least some separation between like a a few riders. Um let’s see. Let’s see at the end. Let’s see. Won’t be on the podium. So, let’s skip that. We actually do have a gap. That is super super nice because that means that for the general classification for the GC we actually have only 12 riders now uh in contention. So so a top 10 should be should definitely be possible now. Okay, stage six is coming up and this is really the big one. It’s a hilly stage. So that means at the end we will have a hill. Um I am skeptical our printer is going to get up this but we have we we just have to try. If we can we might be able to steal a a top 10 in GC which would be like absolutely amazing um for our points total at the end of the year. Um yeah, let’s just dive straight into it. Yeah, we’re into the race and immediately we can see unfortunately our sprinter I mean he he has an okay day but doesn’t have a great day. The other Johnson brother who is of course behind a bit does have quite a good day with the 63 on hills and I believe or homage on here 64 even. This is tough. This is tough. I’m not really sure what to do. Probably I’m going to put Omar on the right before Johnson in the sprint today to see if we can still do some stuff with Johnson. But I I think it’s more realistic that Omaron might have a shot at winning today with the uphill finish, which we can see here. Yeah, it’s really I mean steep at the end. So, we might need to do uh to do that unfortunately because of course we’re focusing on uh Johnson to, you know, get us that top 200 uh so we can update our training structures and get some better Icelandic riders through the youth system. Okay, let’s uh skip to the finish. Uh and we’ll see how that goes. Okay. Uh 15k to go. You know what that means? We will set up our train. Uh as you can see, it mostly goes uphill from here except for a small downhill. And we are not suffering but not doing great either. Uh, so let’s just set up our sprint train and hopefully we can get a good sprint going. I think this guy is doing the worst. Something like that. Uh, Johnson 63, Omar, which is he’s also in top 10. I think this is the best setup right now. So, let’s see if our Norwegian Viking, not actually an Icelandic finding biking, but a Norwegian one can get us uh where we need to be. There’s riders coming up, so let’s Oh, They’re attacking. She 99. We have to to make sure. Okay, they got them back still to have some separation. 93 for this dude. Goodmanson. Let’s make sure that that we stay in the front. with the downhill coming up now, which is kind of welcoming really. But maybe we will need our third rider already to do this. They’re so quick. They’re so freaking quick. Why can we not follow at all? Jesus Christ. Johnson sprint man. Sprint. Oh, this might be tough. Yeah, Omar on drawback for Johnson. This might be it. We might have They were so fast. There was no way we could follow them. We really did our best to try. It’s kind of weird though that we couldn’t like follow their sprint train. Just the option didn’t show up. I I assume it is because this is a hilly stage, but tough. We might have lost uh terrain on on that those four. Let’s see the results. Yeah. Jesus Christ. This is tough. We dropped to fourth and fifth with only two seconds behind though. So, if we had a better sprint train, if we had some better riders, and I hope they will be coming up in the future, we might have been able to follow them at Yeah, we let’s let’s do our best in the next four stages and then hopefully we can claim that top five spot to give us some points. Would be nice if we can get another win, but let’s see. Well, this is annoying. So, our main sprinter, uh, Christine Johnson actually doesn’t like his trainer. He has a modern training style, and we do not have a a modern style trainer. So, since his brother is actually uh going to be better at some point, I’m not going to invest in that. at least not right now. Uh, and he can keep training with these deans. Um, hopefully it will increase his stats at least a bit. Okay, we’re at the last stage of the Taleri. So, let’s hope we can find another good result to get some points for the the world standings uh for our main rider Johnson. He probably won’t improve a lot anymore as we saw just before this, but at least we’ll try to do well with him this year. And then next year we can focus on his brother or who knows on a young rider that we can scout. We have two riders in the top five. This is nice. Uh no, I’m I’m happy. It’s a good result for uh this race. Let’s get ready for Grand Prix. I don’t know if I uh got that right, but let’s see uh if there’s anyone disagreeing with me in the comments. Uh no, this is uh again a race in Africa. So, a lot of country teams taking part. There’s even not an official starting line it seems uh which is or it’s over there. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter. Only five riders per team are allowed and as you can see only 10 teams take part in this. So again a very good opportunity to score some points if we are lucky. The opposition is quite strong though, I would say. We have a sprinter 73 here. 71. Yeah, we’re definitely the worst sprinters around here. Oh, maybe not. Maybe not. Anyway, uh in the end, we just try to go for like a top top five would be nice to score points. Winning of score of course scores as 40 here, I think. anything below that 30 25 something like that. So let’s see how we do. Okay, 15k to go. Let’s set up our sprint train here. Let’s keep in mind that our train will be shorter unfortunately and that’s due to the fact that you’re only allowed to take five riders of course. We’re just going to do our normal tactic here. Go 85 because if you go faster than that you will lose a lot of red bar. Well, let’s Oh, maybe not follow the follow. Yes, that would be good. This is Yeah, we’re we’re in a good spot right now. Of course. doesn’t mean we’re going to be for the entire time. Uh let’s see. 77 to go. And let’s go 99 for Gen. Maybe that’s a little bit too early actually. It is what it is. Garson 85. 3.7 to go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Ulas can already start sprinting because it’s a bit downhill here. We’re ahead. That’s nice. I like this. I like this a lot. 1K to go. First Johnson. Second Johnson. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s break a bit. I think we’ll win. That’s 40 points in the back. Let’s go. This is amazing. A one two even for the Johnson brothers. Amazing. This is This is everything we wanted. We got a good lead out. Started at the right time. Started sprinting. We had a lot of energy left over. I love this. This is an amazing result for our team. We’re actually doing a lot better than I anticipated. A lot better. That means we are done racing wise for today. However, what I want to check up with you is when we get to the Monday. So each Monday you get updated each second Monday sorry you get updated scout reports which is very uh fun for us to do because we can see if we discovered some new Icelandic riders. And secondly also we can check ah only the brson unfortunately. Yeah, he’s is quite low rated right now, but so still he’s already better than most of our domestic. So, uh might be interesting to follow up on that. Yeah. And then the other thing we need to look at is the rankings. So, I will also do that at at the end of every uh Oh, it they aren’t updated yet. That’s fine. of every month. Then probably uh we can well wait. You know what? Let’s do let’s do one more race so we can get to the end of the month and hopefully then it the the rankings will get updated. Okay. Tour of Alana. There’s one problem with this race and that this that there’s a lot of teams. I mean more teams um and also unfortunately uh better riders than us. If we go look at the favorites, there’s a lot of people with high sprinting stats, at least in comparison to us. Which doesn’t mean that we’re not going to try our best to to get a good result here, but to be fair, probably it will be quite hard to get some points here. All right, 15k to go. Let’s see what we can do here. Erikson is done so he can do the first bit of the the lead out. Uh Gerson is also not a great in a great shape although this is worse. Gunnar son can go right behind Gerson because he has a kind of decent sprint actually at least for our level. Then Johnson is having a good day and his brother as well. So I think this is our lead out today. Let’s try to do this. Let’s try to gain a small advantage here over the other teams. Oh, sake. Gian then I guess 95. It’s not coming back. Actually, we’re doing all right. I would say maybe we’re a little bit early, but at least we’re in the front. We’re definitely early. That’s fine. Then the last two get ready to sprint. Oh, what the is this again? Okay, it was not an attack. Let’s see at the final. It’s just a straight line. So yeah, let’s go 99 here. 99. We don’t start sprinting yet because I don’t want to tire out everyone. But in theory, we should be fine, I guess, if we don’t do that immediately. 2.2 two 2.1 and maybe we should go now with Omaron Johnson. Oh my god. You don’t This is not serious. We’re going to win again. Awesome. Hell yes. Jesus. How? How? With that sprint train. How did we do that? I don’t get it. But, you know, I’m super happy. Look at that. This will be very good. Honestly, I think we might be able to, of course, it’s still early in the season, but we might be able to get enough points if we keep doing this to get our upgrade for training structures, maybe even for our pro license, which which would be honestly insane. I I’m really actually a bit surprised because last year uh when I did this with San Marino, I did not play on extreme because it was for myself and then uh back then I was not feeling that great about it. I I played on difficult or something and now I play on the extreme. So actually really game play uh oh wait, what is it? the game settings here. Yeah, it’s still on extreme. I don’t get it. It feels easier than last year somehow. I don’t I do not get it. But you know what? Uh let’s just go to the first of March and end our second episode uh there so we can see what the current state is of our of our team of our ranking of our best rider. And I think actually maybe doing uh two months at one time is perfect for us. There we go. That is actually so nice. We have 128 points for our best rider. Um and we’re actually 34. I think that’s enough to become a pro team. I think that like 34th I think that’s enough to become a pro team. This would be huge. Yeah, most victories as well. I I am super happy about it. I did not expect that as you can see. So, we had the victories today in the one-day races. So, actually the last one is not there yet. So the victories in the one-day races two times 40 points and then also in tur dalgi because of good final result also because of some victories and good placement we also got like 38 points so I am super happy about this we are already let’s say 30% on our way to improve our training structures to next year I think that’s where we will leave you today uh I had a lot of fun exploring these uh small races with our Icelandic riders. Uh I’m looking very much forward to the next parts of this road to glory with Iceland. And um for that, I will see you next time. Please, if you loved it, like and subscribe. You can also leave a comment. Uh this is really for me a passion project. So, if it doesn’t really go anywhere, um, that’s fine, but it would also be nice if there’s some engagement. That means I know that people actually like this type of content. So, it for me personally, it would mean a lot. Uh, so I can continue doing this, have a lot of motivation to do this, that would be awesome. Thank you very much for watching. See you next time.
