@OxfordProductsLtd

hello and welcome to another Heart Moto video in today’s video we’re going to be testing and giving away some Oxford Products mint cleaning products okay so we’re joined with Ed again and his beautiful Z 650 RS uh we’re going to be testing out uh a small selection of the Oxford Products uh mint range on the Kawazaki so without further ado let’s get the the bike rinsed off and we’ll go through each step on how we’re going to uh clean this fantastic bike first things first is basically just to to rinse off the the Z 650 so we’ll proceed with that now and then we’re going to use the uh the snow foam bottle now this is a new product we’ve been selling recently they have been selling in good numbers i’ll be honest with you never used one so this is uh my first attempt as well so let’s see how we get on [Music] [Music] So how many rides are you done on this bike now then Ed and he rides uh probably about a dozen 12 about been out about 12 times on it any um updates from when we first sat and had a chat on your on your thoughts just that each time I go out on it the more I enjoy it um
you’re not wishing you bought the 900 then
i love the 900 but then again you get two of these for a 900
yeah exactly um I think the wife wouldn’t be too pleased yeah yeah I mean every time we go to the bike night it’s um people do flock and
a lot of people have looked at it and
and chat and it’s and like I say not being rude it’s is is well people of a certain age like myself and Ed that reminisce of the uh the original
you know um and um it’s such an easy bike to live with
yeah and great fun and that’s one of the that’s the main reason why I decided um to change bikes okay right i think what we’ll do now we’ll fill up the uh the bucket and uh we’ll start with the uh the hand washing okay let’s just bring you in a little bit closer now I rookie mistake i didn’t um show you before we started the video the state of the back wheel now there are a few tiny little bits left over but that’s chain oil but a lot of the wheel was like that wasn’t overly filthy but nevertheless it was still had quite a bit of road grime on there so what the snow foam and the rinse has got a good chunk of that off already so let’s have a further look around the bike i mean again it’s it was it’s a pretty tidy machine but you know it was starting to show um quite a bit of road grime this was filthy down here
yeah the bottom of the That’s got a load of that
the belly pan was dirty we can work on those headers as well but I think generally the the snow foam and the rinse has worked quite well yeah work on those engine cases as well with some detailing brushes right okay let’s move around this side yeah you can see hopefully here chain wax there it’s It’s definitely loosened it off you know it’s not um bonded completely on that wheel it’s definitely agitated it so it makes life a little bit a little bit easier to get that off but once we finish this will look like it just left the showroom yesterday right let’s crack on right so we’re just using the the bike wash which is exactly the same as the one in the um the snow foam bottle and I’ve loaned Ed my very expensive microfiber sponge we do have a sponge in the giveaway but it’s just an ordinary sponge I’m afraid but uh like I say it’s just to showcase what a good job these uh products will do um I was just saying to Ed off camera that um I’ve been using Oxford Mint myself on my bikes for a long long time and uh if there’s any fear of the products being too aggressive too acidy I wouldn’t use them so again we was talking off camera ed still waiting for your front uh screen screen yeah y
slash cow aren’t you
yes I am i can’t wait to get it fitted
that was Pyramid Plastics is that correct
same manufacturers same makers of the
B yeah
um it’s being sprayed up to match the rest of the bike
there’s obviously a bit of a delay
because it’s being hand sprayed um
it’d be worth a wait i mean pyramid plastics are is pretty good stuff and I’ve never really had an issue you know with their bolt-on stuff it uh everything seems to be thought after and it all slots into place we’re using the Oxford Products uh paddock stand um I’ll put links in the description below where you can pick up your paddock stand very easy to assemble is it just four bolts isn’t it Ed
um yeah two for the handle
and then two to hold the pegs in
the pegs in yeah which obviously adjustable
to fit virtually any bike
yeah so if we just have a close in here look
so basically that that is the the pinch bolt there this will slide in and out so whether you’ve got say M07 uh Z 650 RS you know a narrow parallel twin um or if you’ve got a a big inline for which obviously uh generally have a wider back end then uh you know you got plenty of scope there for adjustability right how’s that rear wheel looking now mate let’s have a quick look yeah so all the the grime that was on the edge there has gone see it just lifts off so easy look at that with my finger hopefully you can see that absolutely brilliant okay we might as well do the the chain while we’re here as well okay spin away not words you’ve heard for a while mate but faster faster okay that’ll do [Laughter] okay right so we’re going to use some of the uh foaming chain cleaner okay this is a product I’ve not used myself i tend to use the um the ordinary chain cleaner so if it’s as half as good as that it should work quite well so Ed if you don’t mind spinning the wheel mate and then we’ll spray this and see how Let’s go the other way might be st right let’s let that work its magic right so like the uh the snow foam they says it leave for four to five minutes and then agitate uh to uh to clean the chain unfortunately it would uh as good nick as the bike is it’s probably the chain that might have been neglected a little bit from the previous owner um slight signs of surface corrosion on there nothing outrageous it’s just just a few little corrosion marks on the chain um I’m sure they’ll clean off it is one of the um problems we do face down here in Cornwall though mate isn’t it
it certainly is
you know right next to the uh to the coast one of one of the the things we have to uh suffer but
it’s not the end of the world is it mate look okay so let’s leave that four or five minutes and uh we’ll start agitating the chain and see what it looks like okay the chain and sprocket has uh had its 5 minutes just giving it a rinse off now right if I just bring you in a little closer hopefully you can see there’s some signs of corrosion on the outer plates on the chain like I say it’s very very minor and This isn’t going to come off unless it’s machine polished a lot of the the grime that was on on the sprocket here and on the bolts that’s come clean off but this here I imagine with the heat it’s uh stained the metal um which is a shame like I say these these sprockets they put on um on without being rude like um the lower price bracket bikes it’s the same on my NC they’re they’re not the best um but like I say something that’s easily replaced but there’s no point in replacing it until it’s uh needed to we were just talking again off camera the the difference between the chain and sprocket on my Triumph to that of my NC is night and day um but you know difference in price as well but like I say I think that’s the only thing that I would I would say that’s probably just been a little bit neglected by the previous owner wouldn’t you say Ed
i definitely do think so yeah you know but it’s it’s only it’s trivial it’s only cosmetic it’s not it’s not going to fail or anything ridiculous like that but um you know we we’ll keep on top of it and um I’m sure it’ll be fine okay so Ed’s now going to rinse off the uh the bike and then we can uh start the uh the detailing so what’s your honest first impressions of that mint cleaning i do like it because it not only does it smell good it seems to lift off the surface there and um
especially off that back wheel
yeah especially off the back wheel i think we’re there there so we’ve rinsed off we’ve used the chain foam cleaner we’ve used the snow foam bottle we’ve used the Oxford bike wash so I think what we need to do now is just basically just give the bike a little little shammy down on the the cosmetic parts and then um start the detailing get those engine casings exhaust headers lube the chain um we might as well check the chain tension and things like that while we’ve got it on the paddic stand um and go from there the oil level we’ve had a quick look at that on the site glass that’s fine so yeah just routine maintenance things you know whilst we’re cleaning it we can check the tire pressures is it 36 42 on these mate you’ve read your handbook haven’t you he’s shrugging his shoulders yeah I’m sure it’ll be something like that 36 42 but we’ll double check anyway we won’t guess right let’s crack on so we’ve done the wheels they look splendid hope you agree let’s go around the other side so a lot of the the road grime and the uh the fling off the chain all gone in behind the sprocket here that was hanging sure Ed won’t mind me saying that that looks as if we fitted a brand new wheel to it really doesn’t it mate it does like I say unfortunately the sprocket doesn’t look as good as we’d hoped like I say I I think it’s purely down to whatever cleaning product the previous owner used or lubes or lack of lubes was used because I think that um is stained on and I think the only way we’re going to get that off is machine polishing it and we haven’t got time to do that tonight which is a shame but like I say it’s only cosmetic it’s not going to affect the bike in any way um and again there’s just tiny tiny little bits of oxidization on the plates and on the pins like I say it’s only cosmetic but you know we’ll keep an eye on it i’m sure it’ll be fine like I say these are all the sort of things you need to just look and check every time you clean your bike right let’s have a quick look at the front wheel again all the brake dust has gone was on the front wheel the front wheel wasn’t too bad to be fair was it mate
no it wasn’t and again yeah all looking nice and clean so I think what we’ll do now we’ll carry on with a bit more detailing lube the chain and then uh go for a final reveal okay Ed what do you think well I’m chuffed to bits mate so far was it um it looks great cuz it uh it’s brought the bike up spotless better than when I bought it brilliant that’s what I wanted to hear right so we’ve um used the the products supplied um from Oxford and like I say these we will be giving away to some uh lucky subscriber um over the next uh coming weeks so what I’ll do is I’ll put in the description below what it is that you can win but just to go over briefly there’ll be the the snow foam bottle the foam chain cleaner bite wash plastic cleaner chain wax foam chain cleaner uh chain cleaning tool and sponge so that’s pretty much it in a nutshell so let’s uh delve deeper into the bike so hopefully we’ve now detailed everything with the products I’ve just listed just look at those engine cases absolutely fantastic down into the belly pan front wheel fork legs front fender light cluster just look at that tank you see the reflection me holding the camera absolutely brilliant and the uh rear wheel again come up like new rear shock there’s a few little jobs I think we’re going to do at some point where the heel guards uh the previous owner had some sort of a buckle that’s rubbed so we’ll we’ll pop them off and polish those up you’ll be the envy of every Z 650 RS owner mate i come back next week
yeah so like I say the the only thing like I say we can’t get as good as new we’re going to lube this in a minute is that sprocket but apart from that and like I say it’s only cosmetic but apart from that the whole bike I mean even the um collector box under here just look at that that was um like a rusty old bread bin it wasn’t rusty but it was just the road grime that was on there because it goes all orangey and brownie so uh that’s come up a treat and again engine cases the horn the rad cover absolutely fantastic front fender again belly pan all the little tar spots that was on there all gone and like I say we haven’t been at this for hours have we mate
no not at all
you know couple of hours maybe tops
a lot of tea breaks and chatting nonsense as well so So there we go so I think what we’ll do now we’ll we’ll just lube the chain and uh that’ll be that okay so there we go that’s the chain now all lubed up we’ve uh detailed the bike with all the cleaning products that was provided by Oxford Products again full links in the description below where you can purchase those products and remember we will be giving those away um at the end of this video so if you want to be in the draw to win those products you know what you need to do hit that like and subscribe and please leave a comment and I will probably decide i I’m not too sure on how we’re going to do this yet whether it be the the funniest comment um the most deserved or a lucky draw so okay Ed so this is your first look at the Oxford Mint range um you’ve not used these in the past have you
no I haven’t no
um and uh like I say Ed’s always been envious of my beautiful shiny bikes and he’s like “How the hell do you get them so clean?” I said to him I use Oxford Mint always have done always will do um it’s a brilliant cleaning product and it’s like I say in terms of value for money I think you’re hard pushed to beat it um I’ll always say that Auto Glim is the best of the best but that comes at a price so in terms of value for money and doing what it says on the tin I don’t think you can beat Oxford Mint in my opinion is you know each to their own but for me absolutely love it okay so there we have it the Oxford Products Mint Cleaning Range so as I said earlier if you want to win this cleaning product if you want your bike to look as splendid as this beautiful Kawazaki Z 650 RS you know what you need to do you need to hit that like subscribe and leave a comment in the comment section below and then that will then enter you into the draw to win these fabulous clean cleaning products as always I do hope you found this video of interest and of use i’d be very very grateful for a like and a subscribe and I do hope you can join me again in future videos thanks again for watching cheerio [Music] yeah heat god god [Music]
