Hey, hey, hey. So, today I’m going to show you living. The first thing you’ll see is that monument you see right there, which is the I don’t know what it is, but it’s right next to the station. Nice bike is going by. So, I’ll go to the station and start biking from there. So maybe you can take this as if you came to live. What kind of a you know walking path you can take to just see around a little bit. That’s what I’m trying to do. Hope you enjoy. This is the station as you can see. If you were out of the train, you probably come out of that then get into this road right next to this street. is like the other street. You have like a shopping street. It’s a chill place. So, if you come to the city, I recommend you walk on this road cuz then you’ll see this beautiful city center as you can see in the distance. We’ll go there. But at first, I want to take you to Loza Plan, which is where the library is located as well. pretty historical nice vibes. I tried to film yesterday, but then I actually had a whole film as well, but the problem is I had this water bottle that had this metal thing on it that made it a bit problematic. It was constantly shaking and making rattling noises. So I think it was a bit yeah uneasy to watch. Like it wasn’t the best to watch. So now I’m doing it again. The good thing is I know where to go, what to do. A bit better. So you turn left here to get there. You could have turned left earlier as well. Up to you. As you can see that is the library. Let’s see this. you see is that there’s a plane and the library right there. It’s a really nice place inside as well. Maybe I can put some photos here. Here. Uh definitely recommend to see. There’s this fly on the needle statue that I never understood why they put there. It’s uh an interesting artifact so to speak. Now I’m going to take you to Senace Park I think which is like really close by. That park is also pretty good. It has some like I think it’s a ruin of something. Not sure. It’s pretty nice. Really close by. Levin is a this special city for me cuz I uh I lived here for uh about 2 years. I started studying engineering here and then after one year I completely failed. I still have friends from engineering who comment under my videos now. Um but yeah had really nice memories and the place is amazing to chill. I think it’s a bit too calm for me, especially in the winter. But, you know, city is still nice. This is the park. Yeah, you can see people are just chilling. It’s nice to just sit under the shades, especially when it’s this sunny. You have this nice rune and some small lakes there and ducks come by. People generally sit by here. You know, it’s kind of sunny right now. A bit too sunny, so not too many people. But it’s a it’s a nice park. Now we’ll connect back to the city center. A bit too many kids on the street right now. This is uh I think their school just finished. Anyway, this a nice streets. is uh as well in the street as well in the the center. Um, there’s a nice ice cream place that’s there where like everybody just goes, it’s always like a really long queue. Mad mom, nice coffee. You know, some bars and restaurants to sit by. You’ll definitely pass by here if you come by. It’s impossible not to pass by here. You can see the structure is uh really good. The architecture. Yeah, there you go. And right there, right there is the city center. I think that’s St. Peter’s Church. And then And then you have this this right next to it. I think it was town hall if I’m not mistaken. You can see the the details. All the details is really nice. right here you can connect to all the markets which is called the longest bar of the world and it’s not like one bar there’s bars all around on one side and then on the other side it’s also bar right Next boots. As you can see, all the international students and uh yeah, generally local people as well hang out here, but from what I know, they play generally like really popular music, mainstream commercial. So, I don’t really enjoy it here, but a lot of people do. Fair enough. Definitely pass by though. It’s a It’s a nice place to hang out. It’s just like after two three times it’s loses its magic a bit in my opinion. I know a lot of my friends like it. So the interesting thing is there’s actually hills in Leven which is not a common thing in the Flemish part of Belgium. Now I was thinking to connect to old Lurvin where at least old city or something. So I know the name. I think it had a different name still. Um yeah. Okay. That hill affected me. I think the old city. I think that’s where the the monks were living back in the day. And yeah, you can see that it’s a again historical nice place to see. I know sometimes when people get married and stuff, they just uh go there to get some nice pictures right here. It’s a bit steep this part. Yeah, it’s doable nonetheless. Then you will turn left here. So you can see the walls on the right are quite old. I think that was like the walls of the monastery or something. I’m not sure. We have the Behov, I think they call it, church. So yeah, as you can see, this is the entrance. The cobblestones get insanely shaky in a while. Yeah, this is the entrance of the church. And right next to it, you have the houses everywhere. I think this is where the monks live. At least from what I know. Now there’s like some work. So I can’t take everywhere. I can’t take every road. And you can’t come here to break down your schedule as well because it’s really really shaky, man. Like these cobblestones prove how old this place is. It’s nice to walk on for sure. To bike is an interesting um thing to do here. If it wasn’t for filming, this is probably like 100% not a place you should bike. Anyhow, as you can see, the place has some good aura. You have these like little canals passing by again the shaky cobblestone time. So yeah, for sure walk here or run but do not come with a bike to this part of the city. Like it’s generally really bike friendly. The whole place is like generally really bike friendly. So definitely take get a bike. But this part is a bit more special, you know. It’s amazing though, man. Not going to lie. Then right from this bridge you can connect yourself cross the river the wrong place to outside of the city and then connect which is my favorite place to hang in all of Leven 100%. Because Armar is uh Yeah, it’s it’s amazing honestly. Like the gardens there, places to sit. Yes. Can we leave here? Thankfully, we can leave from here. Nice. So, Adam, I lived there for a while as well and yeah, I went there a lot to hang out because it’s just really nice vibes. All the international students at least like a lot of international students live in Adam as well because it’s uh yeah there’s a lot of housing for students like a rather affordable housing and here we go. So you’ll see the houses right next to you. Here it starts on the left. It starts there are some campuses as well. If you go more to the left side, this is like I think Adam is like the student place to hang out honestly. But yeah, if you’re a bit into the nature, I’m assuming you would like to hang out more here because yeah, I mean, look, they hold some nice parties here. Rarely, but sometimes the police comes, but rarely if you make too much noise. So, don’t make too much noise. But yeah, like I mean not everybody’s into Yeah. places with trees, I guess, cuz I to me this was obvious like this was obviously the place to hang out. You know, there’s a lot to explore and I’ll take you to some like hidden gem points. These are the places the students stay in. Each window is like one room as you can imagine. It’s not like there’s small rooms, really small rooms, but you know, it gets the job done. It’s cheaper, more, you know, affordable. But all in all, it’s not the houses, it’s really the vibe here that’s just amazing. Okay, now so yeah, left people play rugby and stuff sometimes. Yeah, as I was saying. So, this was to me the obvious place to hang out. Like, look how beautiful this is, man. It’s just amazing. But some friends of mine were not really thinking the same and were scared um a little bit. And then I’m like, I understand that, you know, fair enough. It’s a It can get bit spooky at night and that’s why they have these SOS like things there, I guess, in case you need help because yeah, it is a bit it is a bit outside the outside everyone’s eyes, especially at night. I think that’s when it’s the most beautiful cuz like think about it who will be in the forest most of the time to enjoy the weather. Like even if they’re someone that should be scared of, they like nature, man. Like people who like nature, not all of them, don’t get me wrong. There’s of course like people who get drunk and you know like too drunk try to run away from their stuff but like most of time people who are in nature are yeah they’re just chill. Yeah. This is like one of the parts just tough because there’s a lot of people there. But yeah, you can just sit under some of these trees and listen to the water. So the building you see in the distance is called I think Arma Castle if I’m not mistaken. And you can sit here. It’s just nice. Now I’ll just turn back. This bridge is also an amazing place in my opinion. Now, in the following part of the vlog, I’ll take the road there, then follow to a hidden gem. Hey man, this place is filled with places you can just hang out. Just put your stuff down. Forget this amazing place. Let me take you to a better viewpoint. Would you look at that? Now, how amazing is this, bro? It’s like a little like a Cambridge of Belgium, I guess. It is not the best bike in this part, that’s for sure. buds. Yeah, it’s definitely awesome to just like come here and chill, just sit down, watch the view, enjoy it a little bit, and that’s like students do it a lot as well. This is just it’s just too hot right now. There’s also this part. I never hung out here, but uh you know, you can if you would like to. I mean this part as I meant the last part I showed the all of Arambe I hung out a lot of times as I said it’s the favorite hangout place and now we’ll turn back to that like hidden gem that I was talking to you about and that’s going to be the last point but before that you have this Autumn back. Yeah. Then come here at night. Just sit by, listen to the water, chat with some friends. Smoke a safe drink or whatever you want in the book. But yeah, go outside. There’s stuff to see in Lurvin. I mean in gent as well but I wouldn’t recommend going outside at night trying to explore in unirect or you know some places. So if you came by from the station, I think if you take this route, you will enjoy yourself and this part as the last part will be quite relaxing. So, we connect to the bridge here again and then we immediately just take a turn to the right. I think this path is amazing. Honestly, like it’s so silent. It’s just like you’re fully in the nature. There’s only like runners and some bikers that pass by here. Not much to say honestly. It’s uh just calming. Then you go ahead, you turn left, you connect to the main things, and then you go right. Then you come to this hidden gem. I think it’s going to be empty cuz I don’t remember seeing this place with anyone. before you know like it’s always empty from what I remember and yes it is again once again it’s empty man like like like come on how is this place empty man look how amazing this place Look how nice like the sunshine is coming through the leaves. Perfect place. Perfect place to sit down. This is the first time I took the bike. I mean, this is the first place I took the bike as well to just sit down and chill. So, the living part is over. I think I’m just going to sit here to let you enjoy the moment with me. Well, so that was the video for living. I’m probably going to make a part two or like a remastered version or something. As you know, now I’m like trying to put vlogs out with bikes, like just biking around the cities to get used to this vibe and then so that I can do it in the Berlin trip. So, I’m improving each time and I’ll probably do a better version of Leven as well. Hope you enjoyed the video. Hope you like the city a bit more and you know maybe got interested and I definitely definitely definitely recommend that you come by here and yeah see you all in the next one.
