Is The Netherlands the BEST PLACE for ROAD CYCLING?

Welcome to the channel! We are new here. Actually, we are new everywhere. In a later video, we will try to explain what we want to do with The Outdoors Club, but first, we want to take you on a ‘ride’ with our founder and current solo member of The Outdoors Club: Wilko. Wilko has challenged himself to his most active year yet and wants to bring you along. Wilko will share his rides and runs covering 2023 miles in the distance through the year with you through this series.

In this first episode, Wilko is trying to see if it’s nicer to ride your bike through the Dutch countryside or the beautiful bike lanes of the Dutch coastal dune parks. After watching this video I am sure you will agree that it’s hard to find a clear winning. Road cycling in general is just a joy in The Netherlands. The bike lanes are everywhere and running through places cars won’t ever get you to. And the best part is, you can combine both the countryside and coastal trails in one (short) ride! It was so stunning that Wilko posts the question: Is The Netherlands The Best Place To Ride A Bike?

is this nice or is this nice [Music] what’s up YouTube what’s up Instagram foreign last week I decided to do a challenge in 2023 January 1st today and so far my longest year and distance either running or cycling or combined has been a little bit over 1300 kilometers and this year I decided to go for 2023 miles so that’s way more than double my um biggest uh active here um let’s do it and I’ll take you along let’s go [Applause] [Music] [Music] welcome to the Netherlands [Music] foreign oh my God we live in a city forget about it how pretty the countryside is it’s just fantastic so excited to pick up sideways foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] but now I’m enlightened life is [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] down here [Music] I mean you gotta entertain yourself when you’re right alone oh man it’s going into one of my favorite rights it’s been a long time since I was cycling consistently but I’ve done some amazing rides like this wow the country to the ghost just great experience you gotta love it let’s go I wish that I was a simple man wish that I was but I’ve never been scared of reality setting it wish I was better at giving it I wish that I was a kid again back when I wish I was imminent scared of reality setting it taking the time I won’t get again wish I didn’t need a wish to summer getting rich show this heavy funny chips need to make time for my mom [Music] country versus ghosts [Music] how did you enjoy yourself here it’s spectacular [Music] s [Music] keeping me calm you fall asleep and you dream of the shine I look for peace where there’s not much to find scared of the storm but I’m [ __ ] a call [Music] [Music] [Music] need to make time for my mom [Music] I mean this is a test 360 is covering is so so nice really curious about the audio quality is all right in the country foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] oh my God come here more often when I run you know I’m here happy New Year not gonna lie very very stressful I did all these hikers and the bike Lanes but hey we made it I think the busy area is over going behind us knowing in front we’re good [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] such a nice ride as you probably could have seen I’m really excited for this challenge 2023 miles and this year riding or cycling [Music] uh riding or running but um hey I hope you joined me on this journey and uh let’s see what the outdoors Club will take us peace out
