@Dean_Trips’s Dean rents a bicycle in Antibes, France and cycles to St Paul de Vence in June 2025. Dean rents a flat bar road bike or more or a hybrid type kind from Pop’Bikes in Juan les Pins. Dean rides along the Mediterranean coast towards Nice before heading inland up to Saint Paul de Vence, a walled medieval town where many famous French artists visited or lived. Marc Chagall’s grave lies just beyond the walls in the cemetery there. Dean wanders around filming the narrow cobblestone streets and walks along the wall for a little over an hour on a hot summer day. Dean then rides to the outskirts of Vence and then back down to the coast and to Antibes as well as around the Cap d’antibes.
bean trips here in the south of france in antique starting on a bike ride uh heading out of antique a little north i found the bike path beautiful warm day here at the very end of june [Music] so heading towards knees super great bike lane protected two-way bike lane some breeze off the water otherwise it’s a very warm day in the summer here in 2025 i think i can get this light ready to head uh head more towards the mountains now a sidewalk bike lane right here now so more care be taken for cars entering and exiting the road now the bike lane is separate from the foot passage this little wall here and there a curb down to the road so fairly protected all right getting close arriving here st paul dance a medieval walled city got go up a hill to get to it i guess made a little wrong or missed a turn i had to come back and make the turn here off the bike lane and on a nice quiet road heading up to st called it on medieval walled city where i will have to dismount and walk around as i already saw bikes are not allowed in the cars or bikes in inside the walled city but that’ll be a nice break so it’s gone about 10 miles 16 km since i started at the bike shop in the southwest part of antia there it is up on the hill [Music] [Music] here it is very busy place be quite busy but worth it let’s go in the city for a little bit it’s a wild city that’s the artwork a lot of artists that stayed here bring us another really cool wall that’s narrow ali medieval town that’s now full of shops and galleries and authentic i guess for nowadays it’s not home to that many people anymore because it’s all taken over by these galleries and shops but so it’s not really functioning as a town so much it’s it’s a tourist site really but it’s really nice to come and walk through and even on a hot day in the shade it’s not too bad you don’t need to put you would see this i do see him in the distance here in trips do be careful walking up here just walking up on the wall you can see you could easily um miss stuff if you’re not paying attention it’s going to be a little tight passing people here it’s not crowded everywhere you can find places where just a few people chicago this way mark grave site okay i got a couple 4:00 been here almost an hour about the time limit i wanted to push myself to get back my bike riding i haven’t seen everything but i’ve seen a lot it’s beautiful it’s okay about to finish up my stroll through st paul deanas i think so and there are definitely some busier places and some quieter places so even on a hot day it’s not too bad to come see it’s i always like wal cities anyway so cobbled street pedestrian zone areas it’s very nice ride a little more up in the hills here and then head back down to the coast and nice and peek at a beautiful sunny day there’s a bike lane on him here a little ways at least ground not quite a bike lane anymore work my way over to a nice biking trail here following the waterway lots of places to ride bikes here the east area southern france by the water getting back close to mt got your bike parked over there nice view this way i turned around so i can show you the coming stop for a picture here nice getting off the ride right along the water just a few minutes away from the picture
