Hi all,

I'm thinking of cycling from Melbourne to Canberra at the end of August coming into September for 10-14 days. I'm considering following a route similar to that found here: https://www.adventurecyclingvictoria.com/rides/melbourne-canberra

I'll be doing this solo, hopefully between 80-100km per day, but coming from the UK I'm not familiar with Aus customs with wildcamping/campsites. How much food and water should I be carrying at a time? I've got some experience of a 4 week tour through the UK, but I realise I was pretty spoilt with camp spots and food stops.

Are there any locals here / people that have travelled this route before that can advise on food/water stops, good camping places, weather conditions and importantly mobile phone coverage? Would it be advisable to take something similar to a Garmin Inreach for SOS/contact home?

I'll be passing through Thredbo as the highest point, so I'm imagining it getting quite brisk weather wise at that point.

Thanks in advance!
