hey hey hey so back again in Gent there will be today five places I will show you the first is going to be stain castle which is a really cool one it’s in the city center as well the next one is going to be Kinder Lane and then I’ll go through slipstrat this is a Turkish street so you can get some nice food there not the best aesthetic but you know I’ve been there so I want to share it and also yeah a lot of Turkish people there so some nice food at least you can go there and get and then connecting to that murder which is I think back in the day was like a more Yeah this you can also see i now have a better gear so I hope the shakes aren’t like how it was before people sit here still by the river very nice place i recommend you come here as well i don’t know if you can see what that’s the the castle we’ll be going to quite busy today i would think that it would be a bit calmer actually but yeah if you remember from last video I was here and everything was left showing a nice view man like I was feeling at home but then I come out to do the vlog the city really makes me feel good i mean of course this is a place really close by as well um mostly it’s occupied at nights but you can come and enjoy a drink here a local beer this is positive definitely [Music] that’s the castle but I’ll take you to a better place this is Yeah it’s just right in the city as you can see now first you keep on going continuing the road and then I don’t know how shaky this will be because this is probably one of the shakiest parts i’ve just cut it out but I think with this gear and the tilt protection this video is going to be better than the previous shakes hopefully cuz in the previous video when I did this part um and my camera was mounted on this it was so hard to get an unshaky shot because of the double stones but there’s a nice cafe as you can see and next to it is what they call photo place yeah it’s quite nice what I know about this castle is apparently um someone who went to Syria or something like back in the middle ages or something saw this structure and tried to apply this to Belgium and then they made this castle and then what happened is apparently um the structure was built for more so hot weather so then it turned out that it was too cold in the winter and they turned into a prison but yeah like this could be completely wrong so it’s just a little lore now if you just continue from here you get to kind place they also call the the bridge next to it like lover’s bridge this is a vibe um oh a tree fell let’s see the back but yeah in case it is a nice place so they’ll probably clean that up soon the last time I came it wasn’t there but yeah to show you around this is kind of playing but yeah there are basically these sitting points on the right side as you can see but it’s closed now you can just sit by the water enjoy the shade and you know get some nice vibes that’s kind of sad to see man this was my favorite hangout spot and just as I’m about to film it that tree part is gone anyhow let’s connect to third step now and this bridge is right next to uh plane like you can see it’s le I think that’s like love bridge or something it’s called yeah people take like trips and stuff it’s pretty cool and if you look at the left as well boutique hotels you can stay here and enjoy your time and right there was the castle we just saw so let’s continue so this is the slip strat there’s this thing they do where when someone gets a new car a BMW you might say this or Yeah cars like that this is a known place as well they pass through the street as like a celebration kind of thing i think the Turkish people and Morham people were like after the second world war Belgium needed manpower from what I know and then Turkish and Moran people especially came here and in Gent slips and murder is the parts where there’s a lot of Turkish people and you know immigrant families now we’ll connect to murder and murder is also a place where people who came to Belgium in like after second world war chose to go there are of course number of reasons why people who came later chose to move here i think the the biggest thing is because the first the initial reason was that they were close to the factories that they were working in these places and then the sense of community because yeah more workers work in factory and you want to feel home and especially if you come from a country like Marco or Turkey you’re used to the sun and then you come to Belgium and it’s all cloudy for like seven months so to deal with that mentally is a hard thing so you do need at least a community to feel home so I think all of those factors in and then these places were built but uh you can just go ahead through there but I’m not going to go through there cuz that road is really not a fun road to drive in however it’s going to turn right and show you a place that I really like hanging out [Music] it’s a really rather silent part of the town where you can just like chill by yourself enjoy the vibe you know you can climb on those things as well and what I find also is in cities places like this people who come out to more you know in the nature relaxed places also turn out to be nice people you know you don’t really feel the judgment much [Music] let’s see if I can make a drone shot here [Music] so thankfully it did on the map it showed that I could take some drone shots so I did now I’m going to show you some other part of the Murder so now I’ll take you to the other side of Murder which is again not really a known place not so popular if you just want to hang out as you can see I do like it maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but you know gonna hang out with a friend just have a deep talk or just looking for a place to spend some time with your girlfriend and be a little calm like find a little calmer place i think M is pretty nice for that especially if the weather is good people are also relaxed but not the main street of Murdo that’s uh it’s a bit too crowded not perfectly maintained however this side of Ma is actually pretty nice i guess none of you is watching this will actually come to this part because it’s like yeah it’s really far away from the train station and to come here the most preferable method would be to bike maybe with a car as well i don’t know how good the parking is because yeah even the tram doesn’t come here there is uh yeah there are some companies and it’s just uh just a nice place in my opinion little industrial if you like those places then you can have fun here let’s see if I can take a drone shot again [Music] [Music] so yeah this is a pretty nice place this is the episode for today um hope you enjoyed it hope I showed some parts of Gent that you didn’t see before and yeah see you in the next video
