Hello, I've just come across this second-hand Fuji Brevet 1.3 (2020) on FB. It comes with the default specs, which can be found here https://99spokes.com/en-EU/bikes/fuji/2020/brevet-1.3 and some shimano pedals, but TL;DR: carbon frame, ultegra shifters + brakes + derailleurs, oval crank, shimano cassette. The frame size is S, which I guess is a 50. This would be my first road bike (which also means I don't know really what to look out for).
The ask is 1000 euros.
Now to the questions:
- This is advertised as a women bike. Except for the saddle it comes with, which can be easily swapped, what is it that makes it a woman bike? Just a more relaxed geometry?
- I'm a man and I'm 172cm tall. Provided that I'll go and try it out before buying it, could it be a good fit at least in theory?
- I don't know much about oval components, are they good quality? how much of a pain would it be to replace it with a matching shimano ultegra crank?
- Are the any red flags or factors which I should consider and things I should check when I go test it?
- Assuming the frame (full carbon) has no cracks etc. is this a good price in your opinion?
TIA, have a great day 🙂
