DAYS 3 AND 4 OF OUR BIKEPACKING TRIP THROUGH FRANCE TO BARCELONA.
pack our [ __ ] and Dr down find a cross on yeah about your Arrangement unbelievable we were going to go to an F1 yeah prob the reviews were mad 50k back we were going to go to an F1 can’t believe it man the F1 was like 2.4 stars and all the pictures were like really really Grim so contemplating it I can’t describe how good this place has been like you said in it there was a really warm welcome beers in the fridge the woman spoke some English yeah we had a couple of can of [Music] numbers [Music] hey three 30k in at a care for picked up some supplies some supplies Essentials got going on here this here you got your Aqua you got your uh electrolytes um curtesy sterker and KS thank you very much here you have your your sugars need those you know keep you going and whatnot and here you have your wheaty delicious beverage um which will help you do the miles it’s 1:00 right now so bit later in the day than yesterday but obviously we set off for the ferry so it was always going to be you know we always going to cover a lot more miles but today we’re just pling along going see where we get to it’s very France is very vast like I don’t think I I really understood how vast it is like we’ve gone for the last 30k we haven’t seen a single shop or like uh anything open let alone like uh you know shops or anything really it’s just like little little Villages all the doors are shut it’s yeah it’s a bit mad it’s a bit mad but um we’re cracking on Bill’s going to have a duck um I wonder what that Arrangement is saying could be hole in the ground took some wet wipes so I nice not the best for the environment but needs must and whatnot so yeah we’re hit the road I need to sort out another wind must so there won’t be much talking on the road but um I’ll try and capture everything that I can heard a tip once in some video that uh graveyards and churches good source of water they usually always have a hose and this one has come through see got to be respectful but beautiful so [Music] hot shout out to this Banger Patisserie in the middle of nowhere we’ been in the sticks all day we just literally just run out of water and then we saw a picture of a baguette now we’re loading up it’s a big day in the middle of nowhere today so this has been a godsend but yeah we’re going to load up and then see where it takes [Music] us [Music] 80k in day three um hot day very hot day um as you can see as I step out it’s been Savage Bill’s got a uh feeling a bit sore around the legs talking about potentially having some kind of sore and then as we were talking about it roll into so you know all well ends well hopefully I heard him trying to explain to the woman in there about nappy cream so yeah to be honest I’m a bit sore as well um just rubbing and being wet and sweaty and whatever so yeah hopefully the nappy cream kind of sorts us out but I think we’re we’re going to start looking for a campsite um sort of near tours we’re kind of between where were we drew we went from Drew to down um I’ll put it I’ll put it up but yeah we’re uh hoping that maybe we can do 100K maybe see how it goes see how see how we feel see what’s in the tank um and try and try and get sorted on a nice little campsite basically but um I’ll keep you keep you uh in the loop you know what I mean I’ll let you know give me a little D so [Music] dirty day four yesterday getting back in the sadle again a little bit sore to begin with but we move Road through some very rural vast places there’s just a lot of Farmland a lot of sleepy sleepy towns there’s not really a lot going on in in many of them places camps that we pulled up to though last night got there found it was cash only didn’t have any cash no cash machines here I just went into the town all it was is Bakery that’s it this is very cheap it’s like2 so I sry €50 or 3 something like that per night so we only have 6 but not the starts of the day that you want really I figured out though that at the pace that we’re going we do 100K a day should be there in 9 days get [Music] m [Music] 28 with the of a anybody thinks they can talk to my and I covered in red like a portion of Chip let me get my lenses how we looking we looking good one thing France is not sure of big churches the lad loves it very nice here Lun just big chills big big chills yeah it’s been been wet so far could be wet all day but um let’s have a look at this church shall we it’s mental world that went into these things man [Music] you you [Music] you [Music] you so day four be lying if I said it wasn’t hard graft if I said it wasn’t hard graft I’d be lying that was um probably the hardest day riding I’ve had ever both me and Bill agree very very difficult it wasn’t even so much the ride more so the heat just how like Rural and vast it is just through all the parts that we went it’s like quite difficult to get water and get food and just take everything on it was you know there’s no shade there’s no cover from anything we had all the elements we had rain we had shocking headwind we had a howler mate we had an absolute howler of a day but we did it in the end 100K in um took it Offroad did a bit of gravel which was brilliant but now we’re at this like family sort of camping site which is uh which is pretty nice to come to on a little Lake I think tomorrow will be very testing to see day five we’re looking at trying to keep up 100K a day um which means that we should get out there by next Saturday which it’s another eight days um we do have more leeway than that so maybe we’ll take a little rest day potentially into lose but we’re going to see how it goes tomorrow is another day we move Vos all of that so yeah quick Bosch I will catch you later
