Now former UFC heavyweight champion and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is officially retired from the UFC. The announcement came from UFC president Dana White at the UFC Baku post fight press conference where he revealed Jones had called him the night before and told him about his decision. Tom Aspinall is now the UFC undisputed heavyweight champion and when asked about him during his UFC 309 post fight press conference back in November of 2024 Jones made it clear he has no interest in fighting dangerous up and comers anymore and only wants dangerous established champions.
