I just bought an old Bianchi frame set for super cheap, numerous layers of paint on it, and I have decided to build it up with parts that I had laying around to enjoy it while the weather is good. Since it was a frame set only, with no components, no known history, I decided to go with modern parts. I stretched out and realigned the rear dropouts to 130 mm, for modern wheels. So far after 700 kms I must say I love it, such a different feeling from aluminium frames. Over the winter I am planning to do a full disassembly, sandblast all the paint off of it, and paint it in Celeste, since itβs a Bianchi π Columbus 1 inch carbon fork is planned too π
