losing their [ __ ] i think people were more worried about me in Dubai than me actually being in Dubai it’s like there’s a war going on that we can’t fly there and all that whereas literally it was still miles away out there in Qatar and other places in Bahrain so
and it was all for show but we’ll get on to that in a bit for sure um welcome of course to the bureau news we’ve got a lot to cover today of course we’re going to be looking at the Bitcoin price you know back back above 107K now we could be running towards the alltime high this week let’s fingers crossed fingers crossed

cool so rolling back to last week Monday it was a very eventful day it was a very eventful weekend um of course the war was reaching a fever pitch uh concerns about an Iran retaliation which of course did come um and this happened to the some US bases um and uh it did cause some massive FUD there was a massive per deleveraging in fact the biggest per deleveraging since August 5th of 2024 so that that was the um the carry trade unwind
oh crazy crazy times yep
gosh
people literally lost their [ __ ] exactly and they were highly leveraged um because of it but of course it was all for show um and it turns out that Iran informed the US via two diplomatic channels hours ahead of the attacks on Qatar telling them that we’re going to be doing these attacks at this particular time make sure your bases are empty it’s It’s very strange isn’t it international diplomacy moves in mysterious ways yeah it’s just sort of like yeah we’re by the way we’re um we’re going to attack
we’re going to attack and then the Kmeni also told Trump and by the way after that I’m going to push out a tweet i will be throwing some shader your way but don’t worry i don’t really mean it i need to stand up and make it look like I’m I’m bigger than we really are and we’re having a sort of any impact but um anyways Bitcoin’s swiftly recovered so if you um sold your Bitbone Bitcoin because of some missiles flying in the Middle East thousands of miles away from UAT NGMI guys ngmi
ngmi absolutely tuesday we had a ceasefire announced uh and this is positive momentum for the market there he is there we go ceasefire is announced and congratulations to everyone
congratulations to everyone and then ending with “God bless the world.” “God bless the world we now have peace peace for all.” He’s going to get the peace prize the Nobel Peace Prize
well that’s what he wants apparently he is he is ang not happy about the fact that they gave it to Obama
well I mean to be fair he did solve the Rwanda and Congo war over the last week as well so Iran Iran Israel Congo and Rwanda and some other one India and Pakistan so he’s on a roll
he’s on a roll let him cook the world peace man um anyway so we also last week speaking of missiles being fired we had the the Fed’s testimony in the House okay
and he went through a number of he was obviously being grilled by the Congress
um but he obviously no big surprises growth is solid tariffs are on the radar and they kind of split which we kind which we knew uh but someone of course wasn’t very happy and had a very apt comment

i’m sure he will wednesday Bitcoin retook $18,000 amid relief on the war um and on then also we had a buy from another Bitcoin treasury strategy this one by Pro Cap which is of course the Bitcoin treasury strategy by himself Mr pompiano

pump is pumping Bitcoin into his Pro Cap fund there uh MetPanet was not to be outdone though and they then decided on Thursday they were going to accumulate 1,234 Bitcoin

good PR benefit there man that that that is it isn’t it it’s a PR thing it it gets idiots like us talking about it
they probably wanted to could have accumulated more because remember this was their second buy during the week they could have accumulated more on Monday they thought actually I want to try and do it such that numerology makes sense so credits to them

um yeah so from uh from the sublime to the ridiculous
yeah let’s not get sidetracked friday of course we had the PCE numbers out they were headline was about in line with expectations core was slightly higher they were notably both above previous months um so therefore inflation is still not looking too good and we did have revised GDP numbers as well and they were actually really bad so what’s interesting is you’ve got hotter inflation but lower growth so it’s kind of like what’s that stagflation right potentially if you have two negative quarters of GDP people mentioning that but that is why this comes back to the question around the Fed’s difficulty in this position because there’s a dual mandate the dual mandate of growth and inflation
um but that didn’t stop the markets the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ hit all-time highs last week Friday stuff
so we’re talking we’re talking about GDP declining we’re talking about inflation going up and yet the stock stocks do not get
front running in that big beautiful bull which we’ll be talking about but they want to get that in the the growth uh the growth and the debt monetization and the money printers going to come out and pump their bags it’s wild um ETFs as well I

14 so that’s a 14-day streak that’s longer than my current Wordle streak

nothing really was popping off derabit’s volatility index this is really interesting this is the volatility index on Bitcoin options it’s the lowest since 2023

which means the market’s kind of asleep right now yeah which I guess kind of makes some sense as we’re heading into the summer but you I I would expect to see that probably a little late like we’re you know on the cusp of July i would expect to see that sort of July August potentially indicated that something could be coming something could be brewing there’s quiet it’s it’s it’s suspiciously quiet
yesterday we broke back above 108K um
and then as today you alluded to we had two buys of course MetaPlanet and strategy accumulation so 1,00 something like that 1005 and then 4,980 BTC
okay so strategy still still still stacking
still the big boy in town but Meta Planet is uh is is a is a worthy apprentice
is yeah any shadow any shadow is always there i like it
um it’s going to be a busy week though ahead what’s coming so what’s what are we looking like ahead this week well we’ve got trade deals potentially more attacks on the Fed more comments and insults from Trump to pal data a lot of data coming out and the non-farm payrolls check out the movement on the big beautiful bill because um this is potentially going to be passed this week and it adds something like 3.5 trillion to the deficit and this comment by Trump just pretty clear they’re trying to grow out of the deficit but it’s just the only road all roads lead to money printing and debt monetization which is incredibly bullish for Bitcoin nothing stops this train
nothing stops this train stock market’s looking up today futures on these u on stocks are looking good so we’ll see it opens in 20 minutes um some quick charts to look at we have a small CME gap that opened over the weekend ideally we’d want to come back and close this although I think we’ve kind of re recovered a bit and over the gap again but we would want to come back and close this so it’s a clean break above towards the all-time highs speaking of which we’ve got some strong liquidity clusters towards the all-time highs at around 108K to 112K so that would act like a magnet for Bitcoin higher but of course guys if you want to play byplay trade by trade on the day uh we’ll refer you to the Coin Bureau trading channel go and subscribe there dan’s got a video out there um Dan the Man and Aaron Dishner and you can scan that QR code

where are we in the cycle
so many memes so many posts saying this is this is the toughest cycle ever this is the worst altcoin season ever um it’s a tale of two cities man a tale of two sentiments Bitcoin and altcoins you know absolutely altcoin holders
so look I mean let’s start with Bitcoin obviously uh so I think that it’s in a one can say we’re probably in the late stages of a bull bull run right so one thing that I want to note is this chart from CryptoQuant’s really interesting and it shows how accurately Bitcoin has been tracking that fouryear cycle almost like a musical metronome right three years of rally three years of positive gains one year of a big retracement a bare market in one year three years of gains bare market so that’s been like that since 2011 back there um and that shows that you now we in 2025 the third year of green growth which therefore means that this should technically be the cycle top sometime this year
um now previously we had 61% of the cycle top um in the third year so if we were to take and extrapolate out and with a price of bitcoin at the beginning of the year about 100k we expecting probably or what 90k about 150k cycle top towards the end of this year Q4 uh so that’s but of course there are diminishing returns in bitcoin so you could say some could say 140k or whatnot but another really interesting pattern to look at and this is the um 20 the 200 week moving average on the over the long term and something called a mayor multiple now what this shows here is basically it shows how accurately it’s the 200week moving average and you can see that whenever the 200E moving average crosses over the price of the previous all-time high
that usually marks a cycle top right
interesting okay so it’s been accurate like this for the past four five cycle four cycles
and now we’re in the stage where how far are we now from crossing from the the 200E moving average crossing again as we pull up the next chart and this shows that we’re a few weeks away i mean a few months away and it’s projected out in mid 2026

okay so according to according to this metro as you say does seem to have been surprisingly accurate and elongated then the question comes back to what sort of price could you expect and this thing called the Mayor multiple basically takes a look at how far above the uh 200E moving average does the uh price of does the price price of Bitcoin top out and it obviously is a diminishing returns over time
and according to this Mayor multiple this year or this cycle top could be about uh 220K in terms of the uh the cycle top for this this cycle right and that would be Q that would be Q they say in mid 2026 so that’s that’s another interesting metric to look at
okay so at the moment it would suggest a spread between sort of 150K and 220K
and time timeline in terms of potentially cycle top Q4 this end of this year okay to Q and next year Q like Q2 Q Q2 um but it’s also take into account that’s just an indicator right there is macro conditions right yeah um yeah macro conditions are important um the Fed is well apparently going to begin cutting rates later this year um and historically tapered uh tapered hikes and and QE which we you know we’re not seeing yet we’re only just sort of QT is only just kind of wander um winding down um but tapered hikes and QE do boost uh flows to speculative assets so uh if you look at those if you look at metrics like that then that would suggest certainly higher for Bitcoin
exactly yeah so to sum it up Bitcoin could be charging through 20 late 2025 to early 2026 ranges of cycle tops between 150 to 220k but that’s Bitcoin of course
yeah okay so I was going to say that’s all good then we’re all fine uh but what about altcoins
well I mean this this season compared to last season I mean this is It’s it’s a bit worse for wear
it’s a it’s a this old season is a bit lived in been around the block a few times not much tread on the tires

so I think the most important point to point out here first of all is that Bitcoin dominance is still very high it broke through another yearly high recently and it’s at its highest level since 2021 and generally and you point out like that Ben Khan was saying if you excluded stables right
yes um as Ben pointed out on NFA Live on Thursday if you exclude stables from the Bitcoin dominance calculation um which is an important metric to look at I think then we’re sort of above 70% exactly um if I recall rightly and you know that is important because last time around stable coins were nowhere near I mean as anyone can tell stable coins have been one of the big successes of this cycle and continue to be
exactly yeah so the theory is that bit bitcoin dominance will need to retrace considerably for altcoin season to to come right and uh some people say look we need to first of all look at the alcoin season index is another interesting it’s quite far away it’s quite this is another this is the famous alcoin season index now it’s it’s solidly in bitcoin season and in fact like a week ago we reached 12 on the alcoin season index which is the lowest we’ve been since July last year so pretty far from old
on a scale of 1 to 100 we’re currently at

hey man we got we got to we got to go somewhere go at least we go in the right direction at least it’s not at least double digits at least it’s positive at least at least it’s positive but you know anyways I think the point is we need to see Bitcoin dominance turn right and I think we it’s just really interesting because about two weeks ago we did a stream with Lewis with Lewis Rascin right so this is um
this is one of put up the video there uh this is someone who’s going to be joining us actually and I think it’s the first time we mentioned on a live stream that Lewis is gonna be joining us as a host as well on Coin Bureau yeah so you’re going to be seeing a lot more of his face but he went on analysis with us last week or two weeks ago and he talked about when he thinks he could see a top out in Bitcoin dominance before we start seeing it collapsing and therefore see an altcoin season so go and check that video out we’ll link to it down below or you just go and hit that more Coin Bureau QR code at the top
yeah and you’ll get a uh you’ll get a preview before virtually anyone else of yeah a new face who’s going to be around here and yeah Lewis is great his analysis is great really interesting guy so keep your eyes peeled for him um obviously I guess when when we talk about Bitcoin dominance one thing we should mention is that you know in previous cycles it was very very easy and kind of the natural way of things for money to flow out of Bitcoin and into alts now with ETFs and a whole load of other you Bitcoin adjacent products
that is arguably going to be a lot harder that that path is not well trodden
it’s exactly it is structurally different for sure but that being said there are still lots of specialists who say that altcoin season is delayed it is of course delayed in terms of timing uh but and it will turn it’s not dead but the point of we we’ve mentioned many times before that it’s not going to be anything like the 2021 altcoin season because you need massive amounts of liquidity you need rates near zero and you the problem is also the liquidity component and the saturation it’s not just a lot of altcoins it’s not just meme coins it’s also crypto equities
crypto tokenized stocks which is now the vogue so I think that we’re going to see lots of alts pumping i think it’s still we still it’s good to be bullish on some alts some alts which we’re going to get to in a bit are are doing very well
some narratives especially narratives that revenue generating are very important to look into but you can’t just go and take a wide swath of altcoins say I’m going to allocate x amount to a certain amount of altcoins and they’re going to all perform you need to be very very selective
yeah and it’s interesting that you mention um you know crypto equities as well because we’ve seen the circle IPO i mean which was a couple of weeks ago now i mean it’s record-breaking it’s attracted so many inflows and you’ve got to look at that I guess as a lot of people out there going well I’m bullish on stable coins i’m bullish on crypto but this is the exposure that I’m comfortable with yeah
and you know it’s because it makes a lot of sense i mean you know you could argue that Circle is probably overvalued at these levels but it is an infrastructure play on on one of the hottest niches in crypto that might be enough for some investors for their crypto exposure
exactly that’s and that’s just circle there’s also Coinbase there’s also exchanges listing and then there’s also the Bitcoin treasury companies which are themselves leverage bets on Bitcoin leveraged beta plays so yeah I mean there’s lots to there’s lots to think through but I think that I’m still bullish on some alts i think that al season will they will have some sort of alcoin season but just be be more selective in your choice guys

so this is the news barkclays Bank for those unfamiliar is one of um the deeply mediocre high street banks uh available to the long-suffering people of the United Kingdom um anyone who’s a UK resident or has lived in the UK for any amount of time will know that basically over the course of your lifetime you shuffle between Barclays and a number of other banks and they disappoint you in one way or another uh at some point in your life it’s a bit of a right of passage anyway Barclay’s uh being particularly disappointing um no longer letting Barkley Card which is their sort of in-house credit card no longer letting users of that um buy crypto with their Barkcley card

it’s mad because you know you get these noises coming out of the UK we want to be crypto friendly you know we want to encourage the digital asset industry and then you get something like this and it’s like NGMI
yeah NGMI for sure and to be honest like compared to what’s going on within the US and uh all these other pro crypto movements and then you see what the UK is doing and it’s ridiculous because also Barclays it’s one of the entities within Barclays asset management maybe they’ve accumulated some Bitcoin ETF exposure the IBA exposure but they’re not allowing their customers to go and use their own money to go and buy cryptocurrency treating them like you know children so yeah terrible

yeah okay um let’s talk about something a bit more cheerful and that is the fact that you as you alluded to earlier Nick um certain altcoins are really going great guns at the moment and it’s not just about price action obviously price action is this kind of lens that we often tend to you know view a particular project’s success through and okay it is one indicator but not always um but we’ve picked out a couple of large altcoin projects today that have not only you know been seeing some positive price action of late but also have a heck of a lot going on in their respective ecosystems and just around them generally um so who have we got up first Nick
first we’ve got XRP the XRP army no doubt uh so firstly most importantly the legal saga is over now i know many of you would have thought hey wait didn’t the legal saga end earlier this year with a settlement but apparently and quite rightly Ripple didn’t really like the fact that hey why are we still having to settle at $125 million with the SEC pay these guys money when they are dropping cases against the likes of Richard Hart for example so and therefore they did want to they wanted to basically go back and appeal um uh but obviously this would involve a lot more back and forth and I think they just wanted to close this chapter and move on so they officially withdrew this appeal and now basically the the SEC has dropped it appeal too and this finalizes the legal battle you know
what after what four years and something 110 million in legal fees uh what a waste of time what a waste of energy
what a waste of money
exactly what a waste of money and and now it’s good because what it basically means is the ruling stays um $125 million penalty although and they can’t do institutional sales of XRP however XRP importantly is still is not a security for retail so programmatic and retail exchanges sale remains illegal but classified still classified as not a security so that’s good news for Ripple okay

yeah so uh good news for XRP holders there especially retail one well that makes a nice change doesn’t it um meanwhile Ripple uh has also been so there’s lots of stuff happening on the XRP ledger um the native XRP blockchain including a recent integration with wormhole
yeah exactly so this is connecting the XRP ledger and its EVM compatible side chain to over 35 blockchains including the likes of Ethereum Salana Avalanche BNB chain and Polygon and and it enables XRP native DAPs to interact with EVM chains and Salana D5 platforms while developers can build multi-ecosystem applications
yeah and uh David Schwarz who is Ripple’s CTO um one of the most distinctive looks in all of crypto i think you can I think you can safely say um he has been stressing recently the importance of interoperability for for mass adoption of crypto and yeah I mean this is really important for for any crypto project but I think this is something that Ripple has
perhaps neglected over a while you know maybe they’ve had their um attention diverted by this ridiculous SEC case that’s ground on for so long but yeah if in order for a crypto project to be successful these days it needs to have those integrations with other blockchains we are moving into a multi-chain future Um so it’s vital that the XRP ledger is able to you know interact as seamlessly as possible with all these other blockchains because that I think is what crypto is going to look like in the future
yeah and wormhole is bringing that crosschain liquidity to all of these other plat um networks um but speaking of the XRP EVM ledger there is of course I think we could expect a few announcements this week possibly because it’s ETHCC in can and um we also have a video coming up on the

um but yeah you could interpret that as good news or bad news I suppose but what however you interpret it there is a lot going on in uh the XRP ecosystem at the moment so XRP definitely one to watch over the coming months
one to watch indeed and another one to watch if you haven’t been watching already because it has been performing like crazy over the past week and that is of course SE network uh now um it’s one of the rising EVM contenders uh the price like I said has been going crazy over the past week and there’s a few factors here that could be driving this one of them first of all potentially on the inst institutional buying side so it was revealed that circle holds about 6.25 25 million say and also Trump’s you know world liberty financial had purchased about a month or two ago about 6 million say so there’s early indications that there’s capital flowing into say
okay say of course uh as as I understand it a US-based bitcoin project so that would yeah crypto
the founders are from the US I think US companies and things like that
um obviously that would that would partly explain world liberty financials interest in it um there’s also uh talk around ETFs now I We we haven’t really touched on this much recently but this is something I think that sort of slipped out of the conversation a little bit um until the last few days altcoin ETFs are probably going to be a thing this year
they are they’re moving ahead very very quickly i know there’s a Salana one that could be launching pretty soon
yeah so yeah the SEC’s recently made some interesting comments around staking so we could actually see staking altcoin ETFs uh launch soon um uh that includes for XRP but also um Canary Capital which to be fair has filed for ETFs left right and center um has also applied for uh a staked say one um I mean look you know it’s it’s maybe a bit of a long shot at this stage but I kind of think well probably a stake say ETF is more likely or perhaps better than a Fartcoin ETF or a Melania there is there is an application for a Melania ETF that is how crazy Lots of corporates are like lining up to adopt their Melania treasury strategy as well melania and Fcoin treasury strategy the world the lingerie fighting championship the next coin they’re going to

um anyways say is also now the number two EVM chain by users 8.1 million wallets 74% month-on-month growth and it hit an alltime high in TVL at 589 million so it’s crazy um

I mean I think you know credit card fraud is is an endemic problem i don’t know I you know I don’t think you can necessarily say that it is it is you know purely crypto’s problem um and really a lot of it is about how secure these credit cards are and
I guess that should be down to the customers as much as anything else you know are your credit card details secure but it is a good point um I still think I still think it’s kind of over nannying it’s like well if you start banning crypto if you if you can’t buy this with it then what next you know I always feel that this is a potentially very slippery slope um okay and um there was one other comment that I wanted to get out oh Irish coffee and coin bureau is hard to beat
