good day trends setters and welcome to boran vento which is home to nova aoya an event that’s happening this sunday it’s packet pickup time i just rolled into town let’s get cracking we’re doing medical check in you need a medical certificate to make sure that you are safe to ride this event this is kind of normal procedure for events in italy there we go medical certificate approved my accommodations for the next two nights lay down the end of this very short dirt road
hey trends setters these italiano guys are crazy they ride the 290 km they leave at 4:00 in the morning 4:00 no we get up past 3
and they’ve got no sleep and it’s almost 10:00 what is wrong with these guys loco

bonjour setters welcome to nova aoa crazy weather it’s about 5:15 in the morning the storms may have cleared out one positive thing they’ve done the dust is completely tamped down
continue on good day transitters and welcome to the start of a 2025 nova loya here in boravento italy it’s a very tranquilo start today hopefully i’m going towards the bag to hang out i’m not taking this event very seriously the rain has been through this morning should be perfect weather perfect conditions and we’re off bye-bye
it’s a mostly relaxed start there’s a front group forming already um somewhere in the middle just cruising along chilling early very nice the pace so far is nothing like any of the crazy americano races i’ve attended i think a small percentage cares about racing and most of them don’t give a the rain did us a big favor this was very dusty yesterday how nice is this first timed segment is almost upon us dodgy descent front camera on it’s the end of the sector okay trying to chill out drink a little piano i rode semih hard tempo then i haven’t ridden hard miles in a long time bloody hell another time trial riding piano this sector what’s up young rain attraction ran out of room might be faster to walk a station time oh wow this event is super cheap certain events in the united states you pay 250 bucks and you get nothing this is amazing but i say cheese no worries and we’re off and rolling once again course deviation 150 m we go right we couldn’t be asking for better conditions today regarding the weather that rain bought in plenty of cloud cover it might dissipate later on but the temperature is very nice it’s humid but it’s better than open sky no cloud cover and 91° fahrenheit which is what it’s predicted to be on the edge of another town here not sure which town that is unfortunately we’re not passing through another section of bianke the santa marie sector whilst we are cruising it the guys in the professional race hammer it 16% dangerous to set full on road bike really wishing i had a smaller chain ring right about now about 2ks to the top for this climb i think it’s averaging about 9% all right mate no worries yeah woo grande no no grande that was a pretty tough climb obviously this is a very iconic spot lot of selfies happening here ciao the hills might be short and punchy but the views are so worth it and these gravel roads i mean honestly this is probably my number one spot on planet earth to ride bikes i rode the original laroa back in 2016 and that was my best day in a bicycle ever pull for road bike crazy crazy local any bike goes at this event i’ve seen quite a few road bikes seen a few guys on road bikes experiencing punctures however historic road bikes are the required bicycle at laroa the original loa which is another must do event welcome to tora castello another aid station okay energy 54ks left to ride i’m glad i’m riding the shorter route it doesn’t matter where you look around tuscanany there are simply amazing views everywhere we’re taking a left towards cast novo badena skull ciao okay we’re entering the outskirts of some town whose name i don’t know railway crossing up sit on the back here for a bit these bikes in front of me they’re from the town of oviet i rode there last week oh my god so beautiful in the region of umbria beautiful town beautiful good night t this might be a crazy descent i think yes i’m going to need both hands on the handlebars for this one heat heat start monero diabia this town has a killer and i mean killer pizza restaurant i ate there twice so good food stop resto okay nice i love these water filling stations these fountains are in just about every small town in italy spring water hello hello i’m the son of luchano baruti number two of leroa now he’s the number one forever really proud to be in thanks so much good time to roll 25 km left to ride onto a tough climb straight out of town very cool dropper climb mountain bike very nice welcome to radi i’ve ridden through this town several times in the past this guy has the right idea got himself an ebike genius with a two by super low gears me while i’m dying i need to put a 38 to chain ring on this bike departing this is another sector of gravel featured in sabian it’s about 4.3 km long siankke 4.4 km is fia italiano 16% i still need a two by with low gearing the sun is starting to appear perspiration glowing less than 14 km or less than 8.5 mi until the finish in ventol ah this ride has been amazing add it to your must ride list 2 km away from merlo and another tough climb here onto another sector bianke within the final 3 km ometers this should be the final sector of gravel i believe we rode this sector on the way out this morning okay welcome to walking vento
