Ever since building my Bridgestone, I’ve been hooked on riding fixed. After a few weeks of riding it tho, I decided I wanted to build another one, but with brakes, so I’d have the confidence to venture further. I recently did a ~36 mile ride on the Bridgestone (45×14) w around 1500ft of climbing and around the 1800ft of descending, and while I pulled it off, my legs were sore as hell the next day. There was also at least one descent that was so steep I was still accelerating while skidding.

I bought this frame bc it’s still got true track geo, but it also has decent tire clearance, and came stock drilled for brakes. The bike is currently brakeless, as I’m still polishing the calipers, but I installed the levers so I could wrap the bars.

Since this bike will have brakes, I’m gonna challenge myself and do STP on it in a couple weeks. STP is an annual ride from Seattle to Portland usually around 206 miles. Last year I did it in 209 miles.

This is a temp setup as the rims I ordered still haven’t arrived, and idk if they’ll come in time for me to order spokes and lace them up before the long ride. The wheels were gonna be velocity quill rims in black laced to 36h campy record front and rear. I ordered three rims so I could build a ss wheel as well with an old ss Phil hub I have.

This is my first ever brand new bike (the frame is brand new anyway) and I’m so proud of it. Critical mass was the test ride after building it lol. Better pics will come when it’s got its proper wheels and brakes installed. Hoping to race at least one cross race on this thing come fall
